2 When therefore3767 Paul3972 and Barnabas921 had1096 no3756 small3641 dissension4714 and disputation4803 with them, they determined5021 that Paul3972 and Barnabas,921 and certain5100 other243 of them, should go305 up to Jerusalem2419 to the apostles652 and elders4245 about4012 this5127 question.2213

13 And after3326 they had held4601 their peace,4601 James2385 answered,611 saying,3004 Men435 and brothers,80 listen191 to me:

14 Simeon4826 has declared1834 how2531 God2316 at the first4412 did visit1980 the Gentiles,1484 to take2983 out of them a people2992 for his name.3686

19 Why1352 my sentence2919 is, that we trouble3926 not them, which3588 from among575 the Gentiles1484 are turned1994 to God:2316

20 But that we write1989 to them, that they abstain567 from pollutions234 of idols,1497 and from fornication,4202 and from things strangled,4156 and from blood.129

21 For Moses3475 of old744 time1074 has2192 in every2596 city4172 them that preach2784 him, being read314 in the synagogues4864 every3956 sabbath4521 day.

22 Then5119 pleased1380 it the apostles652 and elders 4245with the whole3650 church,1577 to send3992 chosen1586 men435 of their own company to Antioch490 with Paul3972 and Barnabas;921 namely, Judas2455 surnamed1941 Barsabas 923and Silas,4609 chief2233 men435 among1722 the brothers:80

23 And they wrote1125 letters by them after this3592 manner;3592 The apostles652 and elders4245 and brothers80 send greeting5463 to the brothers80 which3588 are of the Gentiles1484 in Antioch490 and Syria4947 and Cilicia.2791

33 And after they had tarried4160 there a space,5550 they were let630 go630 in peace1515 from the brothers80 to the apostles.

34 Notwithstanding it pleased1380 Silas4609 to abide1961 there847 still.

37 And Barnabas921 determined1011 to take4838 with them John,2491 whose3588 surname2564 was Mark.3138

38 But Paul3972 thought not good515 to take4838 him with them, who3588 departed868 from them from Pamphylia,3828 and went4905 not with them to the work.2041

39 And the contention3948 was so5620 sharp between them, that they departed673 asunder673 one240 from the other:240 and so5037 Barnabas921 took3880 Mark,3138 and sailed1602 to Cyprus;2954

40 And Paul3972 chose1951 Silas,4609 and departed,1831 being recommended3860 by the brothers80 to the grace5485 of God.2316

41 And he went1330 through1352 Syria4947 and Cilicia,2791 confirming1991 the churches.1577
