1 西底家王遣馬其亞子巴述、祭司馬西雅子西番雅、見耶利米而告之曰、 |
|
2 巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒攻我、爾爲我禱耶和華、庶幾耶和華仍顯異蹟、俾不攻予、時耶利米奉耶和華命、 |
|
3 告之曰、爾當奏西底家、云、 |
|
4 以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、巴比倫王、及迦勒底人、環繞爾邑、爾雖與戰、我必使爾倒戈、使迦勒底人入於斯邑。 |
|
5 我忿怒殊烈、必以巨力大能攻爾。 |
|
6 斯邑之民人牲畜、必降瘟疫以擊之、俾其死亡。 |
|
7 耶和華曰、嗣後猶大王西底家、與邑中所遺之臣民、不戮於鋒刃、斃於瘟疫、死於饑饉者、我必付之於敵人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、俾以鋒刃殺戮、不加矜恤。 |
|
8 耶和華又告民曰、今日我以生道死道、置於爾前、 |
|
9 凡居斯邑者、必遇鋒刃饑饉、瘟疫而亡。凡出邑外、歸誠所攻爾之迦勒底人者、則得保其生命。 |
|
10 耶和華又曰、斯邑也、我必降以禍災、不錫以福祉、付之於巴比倫王手、使之焚燬。 |
|
11 猶大王宗室、宜聽我言、我耶和華、使大闢後裔、夙秉公義、凡受暴者、爾其援手、如爾作惡、我怒震烈、若火炎炎、撲滅無人。 |
|

13 耶和華曰、爾居陵谷、處平原、據巖穴以爲家、自謂無人干犯、無人入室、我耶和華攻爾、視爾所行而加刑罰、燃火於林、四面焚燬。 |

JeremiahChapter 21 |
|
1 THE word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashur the son of Melchiah and Zephaniah the son of Maasiah, the priests, saying, |
|
2 Enquire of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us; perhaps the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, and cause the enemy to withdraw from us. |
|
3 Then said Jeremiah to them, Thus shall you say to Zedekiah: |
|
4 Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Behold, I will destroy the weapons of war which are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon and against the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the city, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. |
|
5 And I myself will fight against you with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm, even in anger and in great wrath. |
|
6 And in great wrath will I smite the inhabitants of this city, both men and beasts; they shall die of a great pestilence. |
|
7 And afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants and the people that are left in this city, from the sword and from the pestilence and from the famine into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their lives; and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; and he shall not spare them, neither have pity nor have mercy upon them. |

8 And to this people you shall say, Thus says the LORD: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. |
|
9 He who abides in this city shall die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who surrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you, he shall live, and he shall save his life. |
|
10 For I have set my face against this city for evil and not for good, says the LORD; it shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. |
|
11 And concerning the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear the word of the LORD, O house of David; thus says the LORD: |
|
12 Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is oppressed from the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. |
|
13 Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O you who are hidden below the plain, says the LORD, who say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? |
|
14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, says the LORD, and I will kindle a fire in its villages, and it shall devour all things round about it. |

4 以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、巴比倫王、及迦勒底人、環繞爾邑、爾雖與戰、我必使爾倒戈、使迦勒底人入於斯邑。 |
4 Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Behold, I will destroy the weapons of war which are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon and against the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the city, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. |

8 And to this people you shall say, Thus says the LORD: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. |

9 凡居斯邑者、必遇鋒刃饑饉、瘟疫而亡。凡出邑外、歸誠所攻爾之迦勒底人者、則得保其生命。 |
9 He who abides in this city shall die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who surrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you, he shall live, and he shall save his life. |
