1 時維五旬節、門徒咸集、惟一心、

2 忽自天有聲、如奮迅之風、充滿坐室、

3 遂見火焰如舌、歧而止各人上、

4 衆感聖神、克言各國方言、卽聖神所傳授者、

5 時有敬虔之猶太人、自天下諸國而來、寓耶路撒冷、

6 此聲一作、衆集聽、門徒依衆人方言而語、則駭、

7 驚奇相告曰、言者非加利利人乎、

8 乃聞其語、竟爲我各人所生之方言、何也、

9 此間、有怕提亞人、米太人、以攔人、居米所波大米、猶太、伽帕多家、本都、亞西亞、

10 弗呂家、旁非利亞、埃及、濱吉利奈之呂彼亞、諸方人、來自羅馬之旅人、或猶太、或進教者、

11 又有革哩底亞喇伯人、咸聽以我方言、述上帝大用焉、

12 於是衆奇之、猶豫相問曰、此何意耶、

13 有戲之曰、此人酣酒耳、〇

14 彼得與十一徒立、揚聲曰、猶太人、與耶路撒冷居民悉宜知之、試聽我言、

15 今方巳初、此人不醉、如爾所逆億也、

16 此卽先知約耳所言、

17 上帝曰、末日、我將以我神賦萬人、俾爾子女言未來事、幼者覲異象、老者兆於夢、

18 當日、我將以我神賦我僕婢、使之言未來事、

19 我將示奇事於天、異兆於地、若血若火若烟、

20 日變晦冥、月爲血色、而主赫顯之日將至矣、

21 凡籲主名者必得救也、

22 彼得又曰、以色列人乎、宜聽我言、爾知上帝以拿撒勒耶穌行妙用奇事異蹟、於爾中、實爲耶穌立據以示爾、

23 此人也、上帝定旨、勅命解之、爾曹果以不義之手、取而釘之死、

24 然不可久繫於死、故上帝釋而甦之、

25 蓋大闢指之曰、我觀主、恆在我前、主左右我故不震動、心喜口誦、

26 身葬而有望、

27 以爾不遺我魂於陰府、不俾爾聖者朽壞、

28 爾示我以生之道、使我於爾前喜甚、

29 兄弟乎、容我明言、先覦大闢、死而葬至今境內、其墓猶存、

30 旣爲先知、卽知上帝曾有誓言、由大闢裔、挺生基督以居其位、

31 惟彼先知、故言基督復生也、則謂其魂不遺於陰府、其身不至于朽壞、

32 此我咸證耶穌乃上帝所復生者、

33 旣高舉在上帝右、受父所許之聖神、則以此降賦、是爾曹所見所聞也、

34 夫大闢固未以身升天、〔原文無以身二字〕而當時言曰、主謂我主云、坐吾右、

35 我將以汝敵、置爾足下、

36 然則舉以色列家宜確知、爾所釘之耶穌、上帝立之爲主、爲基督矣、〇

37 衆聞此言中心如刺、問彼得及餘使徒曰、兄弟、我當何爲、

38 彼得曰、爾曹宜悔改、奉耶穌基督名領洗、俾得罪赦、如是可受聖神矣、

39 蓋所許者歸爾曹、貽於子孫、施及遠人、卽主我之上帝所召者也、

40 又以多言勸諭之曰、汝曹宜自救、離此邪世、〇

41 是日、嘉納其言者咸受洗、其數增至三千人、

42 恆受使徒之訓、交際之道、擘餅祈禱、

43 使徒多行奇事異蹟、衆敬畏之、

44 信者會同、有無相通、

45 有所需、變物產分之、

46 日日一心在殿、家擘其餅、以歡以誠而食、

47 讚美上帝、獲愛於民、主以得救之人、日增其會焉、

Chapter 2

2 And suddenly869 there came1096 a sound2279 from heaven3772 as of a rushing5342 mighty972 wind,4157 and it filled4137 all3650 the house3624 where3757 they were sitting.2521

3 And there appeared3700 to them cloven1266 tongues1100 like5616 as of fire,4442 and it sat2523 on each1538 of them.

4 And they were all537 filled4130 with the Holy40 Ghost,4151 and began756 to speak2980 with other2087 tongues,1100 as the Spirit4151 gave1325 them utterance.669

5 And there were dwelling2730 at1722 Jerusalem2419 Jews,2453 devout2126 men,435 out of every3956 nation1484 under5259 heaven.3772

10 Phrygia,5435 and Pamphylia,3828 in Egypt,125 and in the parts3313 of Libya3033 about2596 Cyrene,2957 and strangers1927 of Rome,4516 Jews2453 and proselytes,4339

11 Cretes2912 and Arabians,690 we do hear191 them speak2980 in our tongues1100 the wonderful3167 works of God.2316

12 And they were all3956 amazed,1839 and were in doubt,1280 saying3004 one243 to another,243 What5101 means2309 1511 this?5124

13 Others2087 mocking5512 said,3004 These men are full3325 of new1098 wine.1098

14 But Peter,4074 standing2476 up with the eleven,1733 lifted1869 up his voice,5456 and said669 to them, You men435 of Judaea,2453 and all537 you that dwell2730 at Jerusalem,2419 be this5124 known1110 to you, and listen1801 to my words:4487

15 For these3778 are not drunken,3184 as you suppose,5274 seeing1063 it is but the third5154 hour5610 of the day.2250

16 But this5124 is that which was spoken2046 by the prophet4396 Joel;2493

17 And it shall come1511 to pass in the last2078 days,2250 said3004 God,2316 I will pour1632 out of my Spirit4151 on all3956 flesh:4561 and your5216 sons5207 and your5216 daughters2364 shall prophesy,4395 and your5216 young3495 men3495 shall see3708 visions,3706 and your5216 old4245 men shall dream1798 dreams:1797

18 And on1909 my servants1401 and on1909 my handmaidens1399 I will pour1632 out in those1565 days2250 of my Spirit;4151 and they shall prophesy:4395

19 And I will show1325 wonders5059 in heaven3772 above,507 and signs4592 in the earth1093 beneath;2736 blood,129 and fire,4442 and vapor822 of smoke:2586

20 The sun2246 shall be turned4762 into1519 darkness,4655 and the moon4582 into1519 blood,129 before4250 2228 the great3173 and notable2016 day2250 of the Lord2962 come:2064

21 And it shall come1511 to pass, that whoever3956 3739 shall call1941 on1941 the name3686 of the Lord2962 shall be saved.4982

22 You men435 of Israel,2475 hear191 these5128 words;3056 Jesus2424 of Nazareth,3478 a man435 approved584 of God2316 among1519 you by miracles1411 and wonders5059 and signs,4592 which3739 God2316 did4160 by him in the middle3319 of you, as you yourselves846 also2532 know:1492

23 Him, being delivered1560 by the determinate3724 counsel1012 and foreknowledge4268 of God,2316 you have taken,2983 and by wicked459 hands5495 have crucified4362 and slain:337

24 Whom3739 God2316 has raised450 up, having loosed3089 the pains5604 of death:2288 because2530 it was not possible1415 that he should be held2902 of it.

25 For David1138 speaks3004 concerning1519 him, I foresaw4308 the Lord2962 always1223 3956 before1799 my face,1799 for he is on1537 my right1188 hand, that I should not be moved:4531

26 Therefore1223 5124 did my heart2588 rejoice,2165 and my tongue1100 was glad;21 moreover2089 also2532 my flesh4561 shall rest2681 in hope:1680

27 Because3754 you will not leave1459 my soul5590 in hell,86 neither3761 will you suffer1325 your4675 Holy3741 One to see1492 corruption.1312

28 You have made1107 known1107 to me the ways3598 of life;2222 you shall make4137 me full4137 of joy2167 with your countenance.4383

29 Men435 and brothers,80 let1832 me freely3326 3954 speak2036 to you of the patriarch3966 David,1138 that he is both2532 dead5053 and buried,2290 and his sepulcher3418 is with us to this5026 day.2250

30 Therefore3767 being5225 a prophet,4396 and knowing1492 that God2316 had sworn3660 with an oath3727 to him, that of the fruit2590 of his loins,3751 according2596 to the flesh,4561 he would raise450 up Christ5547 to sit2523 on1909 his throne;2362

31 He seeing4275 this before4275 spoke2980 of the resurrection386 of Christ,5547 that his soul5590 was not left2641 in hell,86 neither3761 his flesh4561 did see1492 corruption.1312

32 This5126 Jesus2424 has God2316 raised450 up, whereof3739 we all3956 are witnesses.3144

33 Therefore3767 being by the right1188 hand of God2316 exalted,5312 and having received2983 of the Father3962 the promise1860 of the Holy40 Ghost,4151 he has shed1632 forth1632 this,5124 which3739 you now3568 see991 and hear.191

34 For David1138 is not ascended305 into1519 the heavens:3772 but he said3004 himself,846 The Lord2962 said2036 to my Lord,2962 Sit2521 you on1537 my right1188 hand,

35 Until2193 I make5087 your foes2190 your footstool.5286

36 Therefore3767 let all3956 the house3624 of Israel2474 know1097 assuredly,806 that God2316 has made4160 the same5126 Jesus,2424 whom3739 you have crucified,4717 both2532 Lord2962 and Christ.5547

37 Now1161 when they heard191 this, they were pricked2660 in their heart,2588 and said2036 to Peter4074 and to the rest3062 of the apostles,652 Men435 and brothers,80 what5101 shall we do?4160

38 Then1161 Peter4074 said5346 to them, Repent,3340 and be baptized907 every1538 one of you in the name3686 of Jesus2424 Christ5547 for the remission859 of sins,266 and you shall receive2983 the gift1431 of the Holy40 Ghost.4151

39 For the promise1860 is to you, and to your5216 children,5043 and to all3956 that are afar3112 off, even as many3745 as the LORD2962 our God2316 shall call.4341

40 And with many4119 other2087 words3056 did he testify1263 and exhort,3870 saying,3004 Save4982 yourselves from this5026 untoward4646 generation.1074

41 Then3767 they that gladly780 received588 his word3056 were baptized:907 and the same1565 day2250 there were added4369 to them about5616 three5153 thousand5153 souls.5590

42 And they continued4342 steadfastly4342 in the apostles'652 doctrine1322 and fellowship,2842 and in breaking2800 of bread,740 and in prayers.4335

43 And fear5401 came1096 on every3956 soul:5590 and many4183 wonders5059 and signs4592 were done1096 by the apostles.652

44 And all3956 that believed4100 were together,1909 3588 846 and had2192 all537 things common;2839

45 And sold4097 their possessions2933 and goods,5223 and parted1266 them to all3956 men, as every5100 man had2192 need.5532

16 此卽先知約耳所言、

16 But this5124 is that which was spoken2046 by the prophet4396 Joel;2493

17 上帝曰、末日、我將以我神賦萬人、俾爾子女言未來事、幼者覲異象、老者兆於夢、

17 And it shall come1511 to pass in the last2078 days,2250 said3004 God,2316 I will pour1632 out of my Spirit4151 on all3956 flesh:4561 and your5216 sons5207 and your5216 daughters2364 shall prophesy,4395 and your5216 young3495 men3495 shall see3708 visions,3706 and your5216 old4245 men shall dream1798 dreams:1797

18 當日、我將以我神賦我僕婢、使之言未來事、
