1 耶穌語衆及門徒曰、

2 士子法利賽人、坐摩西位、

3 凡命爾守者、守之、但勿爲其所爲、以其言而不行也、

4 彼以重且難之任、縛而置人肩上、惟己則一指不肯動、

5 其行事、欲以見於人而爲之、且闊其佩經、大其衣裾、

6 喜席間上座、會堂高位、

7 市上問安、爲人稱曰、夫子、夫子、

8 然爾勿受夫子之稱、爾師尊乃一、卽基督、爾曹皆兄弟、

9 勿稱在地者爲父、爾父乃一卽、在天者、

10 亦勿受師尊之稱、爾師尊乃一、卽基督、

11 爾中大者、當爲爾役、

12 自高者降爲卑、自卑者升爲高也、〇

13 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾當人前閉天國、爾自不進、而將進者、爾不許、

14 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾幷吞嫠婦家貲、而佯爲長祈、故受罪尤重也、

15 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾周行水陸、使一人進教、旣進、又使爲地獄之人、較倍於爾也、

16 爾瞽而相者、其有禍乎、每曰、人指殿而誓、則無事、惟指殿內之金而誓、則當償之、

17 爾愚且瞽、金與殿孰大乎、亦金以殿聖耳、

18 爾又曰、人指壇而誓、則無事、惟指壇上禮物而誓、則當償之、

19 爾愚且瞽、禮物與壇孰大乎、禮物以壇聖耳、

20 故指埴而誓、是指壇及在其上者而誓也、

21 指殿而誓、是指殿及居其內者而誓也、

22 指天而誓、是指上帝座、及坐其上者而誓也、〇

23 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、蓋爾於薄荷、八角、馬芹、十輸其一、但律法之尤重者、若義、與仁、與信、爾則遺之、然爾所當行者此也、彼第不可遺耳、

24 爾瞽而相者、蚋則濾之、駝則吞之、

25 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

26 噫、法利賽人其瞽乎、先潔杯盤之內、則其外亦潔矣、〇

27 偽善之士子、法利賽人其有禍乎、爾似粉堊之塋、外見爲美、內則死骸污穢充之矣、

28 如是、爾以義外見於人、內則偽善非法充之矣、

29 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾建先知之塋、飾義人之墓、

30 每曰、若我在我祖時、則不與謀流先知之血、

31 如是、爾自證爲殺先知者之裔、

32 何不盈爾祖之量乎、

33 噫、蛇蝮之類安能逭地獄刑乎、

34 是以我遣先知、智人、士子就爾、殺者有之、釘十字架者有之、鞭於會堂者有之、在在窘逐者又有之、

35 致流義人之血於地、罪皆歸爾、自義人亞伯之血、至巴拉家子撒加利亞爾殺於殿壇間之血、

36 我誠告爾、此事必歸斯世也、

37 耶路撒冷乎、耶路撒冷乎、爾殺先知石、擊奉使者、我欲集爾赤子似母鷄集雛翼下、已幾何時、惟爾不欲、

2 Saying 3004The scribes1122 and the Pharisees5330 sit2523 in Moses'3475 seat:2515

3 All3956 therefore3767 whatever3745 302 they bid2036 you observe,5083 that observe5083 and do;4160 but do4160 not you after2596 their works:2041 for they say,3004 and do4160 not.

4 For they bind1195 heavy926 burdens5413 and grievous1418 to be borne,1418 and lay2007 them on1909 men's444 shoulders;5606 but they themselves will2309 not move2795 them with one of their fingers.1147

5 But all3956 their works2041 they do4160 for to be seen2300 of men:444 they make4115 broad4115 their phylacteries,5440 and enlarge3170 the borders2899 of their garments,2440

6 And love5368 the uppermost4411 rooms4411 at1722 feasts,1173 and the chief4410 seats4410 in the synagogues,4864

7 And greetings783 in the markets,58 and to be called2564 of men,444 Rabbi,4461 Rabbi.4461

8 But be not you called2564 Rabbi:4461 for one1520 is your5216 Master,2519 even Christ;5547 and all3956 you are brothers.80

9 And call2564 no3361 man your5216 father3962 on the earth:1093 for one1520 is your5216 Father,3962 which3588 is in heaven.3772

10 Neither3366 be you called2564 masters:2519 for one1520 is your5216 Master,2519 even Christ.5547

11 But he that is greatest3187 among you shall be your5216 servant.1249

12 And whoever3748 shall exalt5312 himself1438 shall be abased;5013 and he that shall humble5013 himself1438 shall be exalted.5312

13 But woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you shut2808 up the kingdom932 of heaven3772 against1715 men:444 for you neither3761 go1525 in yourselves, neither3756 suffer863 you them that are entering1525 to go1525 in.

14 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you devour2719 widows'5503 houses,3614 and for a pretense4392 make4336 long3117 prayer:4336 therefore1223 5124 you shall receive2983 the greater4055 damnation.2917

15 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you compass4013 sea2281 and land3584 to make4160 one1520 proselyte,4339 and when3752 he is made,1096 you make4160 him twofold1366 more the child5207 of hell1067 than yourselves.5216

16 Woe3759 to you, you blind5185 guides,3595 which3588 say,3004 Whoever3739 302 shall swear3660 by the temple,3485 it is nothing;3762 but whoever3739 302 shall swear3660 by the gold5557 of the temple,3485 he is a debtor!3784

17 You fools3474 and blind:5185 for whether5101 is greater,3187 the gold,5557 or2228 the temple3485 that sanctifies37 the gold?5557

18 And, Whoever3739 1437 shall swear3660 by the altar,2379 it is nothing;3762 but whoever3739 302 swears3660 by the gift1435 that is on it, he is guilty.3784

19 You fools3474 and blind:5185 for whether5101 is greater,3187 the gift,1435 or2228 the altar2379 that sanctifies37 the gift?1435

20 Whoever3588 therefore3767 shall swear3660 by the altar,2379 swears3660 by it, and by all3956 things thereon.1883 846

21 And whoever3588 shall swear3660 by the temple,3485 swears3660 by it, and by him that dwells2730 therein.

22 And he that shall swear3660 by heaven,3772 swears3660 by the throne2362 of God,2316 and by him that sits2521 thereon.1883 846

23 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you pay586 tithe586 of mint2238 and anise432 and cummin,2951 and have omitted863 the weightier926 matters of the law,3551 judgment,2920 mercy,1656 and faith:4102 these5023 ought1163 you to have done,4160 and not to leave863 the other2548 undone.

24 You blind5185 guides,3595 which3588 strain1368 at1368 a gnat,2971 and swallow2666 a camel.2574

25 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you make2511 clean2511 the outside1855 of the cup4221 and of the platter,3953 but within2081 they are full1073 of extortion724 and excess.192

26 You blind5185 Pharisee,5330 cleanse2511 first4412 that which3588 is within1787 the cup4221 and platter,3953 that the outside1622 of them may be clean2513 also.2532

27 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you are like3945 to white washed2867 sepulchers,5028 which3748 indeed3303 appear5316 beautiful5611 outward,1855 but are within2081 full1073 of dead3498 men's bones,3747 and of all3956 uncleanness.167

28 Even so3779 you also2532 outwardly1855 appear5316 righteous1342 to men,444 but within2081 you are full3324 of hypocrisy5272 and iniquity.458

29 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 because3754 you build3618 the tombs5028 of the prophets,4396 and garnish2885 the sepulchers3419 of the righteous,1342

30 And say,3004 If1487 we had been2258 in the days2250 of our fathers,3962 we would not have been2258 partakers2844 with them in the blood129 of the prophets.4396

31 Why5620 you be witnesses3140 to yourselves,1438 that you are the children5207 of them which killed5407 the prophets.4396

32 Fill4137 you up then2532 the measure3358 of your5216 fathers.3962

33 You serpents,3789 you generation1081 of vipers,2191 how4459 can you escape5343 575 the damnation2920 of hell?1067

34 Why,1223 5124 behold,2400 I send649 to you prophets,4396 and wise4680 men, and scribes:1122 and some of them you shall kill615 and crucify;4717 and some of them shall you whip3146 in your5216 synagogues,4864 and persecute1377 them from city4172 to city:4172

35 That on you may come2064 all3956 the righteous1342 blood129 shed1632 on the earth,1093 from the blood129 of righteous1342 Abel6 to the blood129 of Zacharias2197 son5207 of Barachias,914 whom3739 you slew5407 between3342 the temple3485 and the altar.2379

36 Truly281 I say3004 to you, All3956 these5023 things shall come2240 on this5026 generation.1074

37 O Jerusalem,2419 Jerusalem,2419 you that kill615 the prophets,4396 and stone3036 them which are sent649 to you, how often4212 would2309 I have gathered1996 your children5043 together,1996 even3739 5158 as a hen3733 gathers1996 her chickens3556 under5259 her wings,4420 and you would2309 not!

38 Behold,2400 your5216 house3624 is left863 to you desolate.2048

39 For I say3004 to you, You shall not see1492 me from now on,575 737 till2193 you shall say,2036 Blessed2127 is he that comes2064 in the name3686 of the Lord.2962

14 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾幷吞嫠婦家貲、而佯爲長祈、故受罪尤重也、

14 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you devour2719 widows'5503 houses,3614 and for a pretense4392 make4336 long3117 prayer:4336 therefore1223 5124 you shall receive2983 the greater4055 damnation.2917

15 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾周行水陸、使一人進教、旣進、又使爲地獄之人、較倍於爾也、

15 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you compass4013 sea2281 and land3584 to make4160 one1520 proselyte,4339 and when3752 he is made,1096 you make4160 him twofold1366 more the child5207 of hell1067 than yourselves.5216

16 爾瞽而相者、其有禍乎、每曰、人指殿而誓、則無事、惟指殿內之金而誓、則當償之、

16 Woe3759 to you, you blind5185 guides,3595 which3588 say,3004 Whoever3739 302 shall swear3660 by the temple,3485 it is nothing;3762 but whoever3739 302 shall swear3660 by the gold5557 of the temple,3485 he is a debtor!3784

17 爾愚且瞽、金與殿孰大乎、亦金以殿聖耳、

17 You fools3474 and blind:5185 for whether5101 is greater,3187 the gold,5557 or2228 the temple3485 that sanctifies37 the gold?5557

18 爾又曰、人指壇而誓、則無事、惟指壇上禮物而誓、則當償之、

18 And, Whoever3739 1437 shall swear3660 by the altar,2379 it is nothing;3762 but whoever3739 302 swears3660 by the gift1435 that is on it, he is guilty.3784

19 爾愚且瞽、禮物與壇孰大乎、禮物以壇聖耳、

19 You fools3474 and blind:5185 for whether5101 is greater,3187 the gift,1435 or2228 the altar2379 that sanctifies37 the gift?1435

20 故指埴而誓、是指壇及在其上者而誓也、

20 Whoever3588 therefore3767 shall swear3660 by the altar,2379 swears3660 by it, and by all3956 things thereon.1883 846

21 指殿而誓、是指殿及居其內者而誓也、

21 And whoever3588 shall swear3660 by the temple,3485 swears3660 by it, and by him that dwells2730 therein.

22 指天而誓、是指上帝座、及坐其上者而誓也、〇

29 偽善之士子、法利賽人、其有禍乎、以爾建先知之塋、飾義人之墓、

29 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 because3754 you build3618 the tombs5028 of the prophets,4396 and garnish2885 the sepulchers3419 of the righteous,1342

30 每曰、若我在我祖時、則不與謀流先知之血、
