4 For1063 they bind1195 heavy926 burdens5413 and2532 grievous to be borne,1419 and2532 lay2007 them on1909 men's444 shoulders;5606 but1161 they themselves will2309 not3756 move2795 them846 with one of their848 fingers.1147

5 But1161 all3956 their848 works2041 they do4160 for to be seen2300 of men: 444 they1161 make broad4115 their848 phylacteries,5440 and2532 enlarge3170 the3588 borders2899 of their848 garments,2440

6 And5037 love5368 the3588 uppermost rooms4411 at1722 feasts,1173 and2532 the3588 chief seats4410 in1722 the3588 synagogues,4864

7 And2532 greetings783 in1722 the3588 markets,58 and2532 to be called2564 of5259 men,444 Rabbi,4461 Rabbi.4461

8 But1161 be not3361 ye5210 called2564 Rabbi: 4461 for1063 one1520 is2076 your5216 Master,2519 even Christ;5547 and1161 all3956 ye5210 are2075 brethren.80

9 And2532 call2564 no3361 man your5216 father3962 upon1909 the3588 earth: 1093 for1063 one1520 is2076 your5216 Father,3962 which3588 is in1722 heaven.3772

10 Neither3366 be ye called2564 masters: 2519 for1063 one1520 is2076 your5216 Master,2519 even Christ.5547

11 But1161 he that is greatest3187 among you5216 shall be2071 your5216 servant.1249

12 And1161 whosoever3748 shall exalt5312 himself1438 shall be abased;5013 and2532 he3748 that shall humble5013 himself1438 shall be exalted.5312

13 But1161 woe3759 unto you,5213 scribes1122 and2532 Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for3754 ye shut up2808 the3588 kingdom932 of heaven3772 against1715 men: 444 for1063 ye5210 neither3756 go in1525 yourselves, neither3761 suffer863 ye them that are entering1525 to go in.1525

14 1161 Woe3759 unto you,5213 scribes1122 and2532 Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for3754 ye devour2719 widows'5503 houses,3614 and2532 for a pretence4392 make long prayer: 4336 3117 therefore1223 5124 ye shall receive2983 the greater4056 damnation.2917

17 Ye fools3474 and2532 blind: 5185 for1063 whether5101 is2076 greater,3187 the3588 gold,5557 or2228 the3588 temple3485 that sanctifieth37 the3588 gold?5557

18 And,2532 Whosoever3739 1437 shall swear3660 by1722 the3588 altar,2379 it is2076 nothing;3762 but1161 whosoever3739 302 sweareth3660 by1722 the3588 gift1435 that3588 is upon1883 it,846 he is guilty.3784

19 Ye fools3474 and2532 blind: 5185 for1063 whether5101 is greater,3187 the3588 gift,1435 or2228 the3588 altar2379 that sanctifieth37 the3588 gift1435

20 Whoso therefore shall swear3660 3767 by1722 the3588 altar,2379 sweareth3660 by1722 it,846 and2532 by1722 all things3956 thereon.1883 846

21 And whoso shall swear3660 by1722 the3588 temple,3485 sweareth3660 by1722 it,846 and2532 by1722 him that dwelleth therein.2730 846

23 Woe3759 unto you,5213 scribes1122 and2532 Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for1063 ye pay tithe586 of mint2238 and2532 anise432 and2532 cummin,2951 and2532 have omitted863 the3588 weightier926 matters of the3588 law,3551 judgment,2920 2532 mercy,1656 and2532 faith: 4102 these5023 ought1163 ye to have done,4160 and not3361 to leave863 the other2548 undone.863

24 Ye blind5185 guides,3595 which strain1368 at a gnat,2971 and1161 swallow2666 a camel.2574

26 Thou blind5185 Pharisee,5330 cleanse2511 first4412 that3588 which is within1787 the3588 cup4221 and2532 platter,3953 that2443 the3588 outside1622 of them846 may be1096 clean2513 also.2532

27 Woe3759 unto you,5213 scribes1122 and2532 Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for3754 ye are like unto3945 whited2867 sepulchers,5028 which3748 indeed3303 appear5316 beautiful5611 outward,1855 but1161 are within full1073 2081 of dead3498 men's bones,3747 and2532 of all3956 uncleanness.167

28 Even so3779 ye5210 also2532 outwardly1855 3303 appear5316 righteous1342 unto men,444 but1161 within2081 ye are2075 full3324 of hypocrisy5272 and2532 iniquity.458

29 Woe3759 unto you,5213 scribes1122 and2532 Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 because3754 ye build3618 the3588 tombs5028 of the3588 prophets,4396 and2532 garnish2885 the3588 sepulchers3419 of the3588 righteous,1342

30 And2532 say,3004 If1487 we had been2258 in1722 the3588 days2250 of our2257 fathers,3962 we would not3756 have been2258 302 partakers2844 with them846 in1722 the3588 blood129 of the3588 prophets.4396
