第2章

1 但你所講的總要合乎那純正的道理。

2 勸老年人要有節制、端莊、自守，在信心、愛心、忍耐上都要純全無疵。

3 又勸老年婦人，行為要合乎聖潔［in behaviour as becometh holiness］，不誣告人［not false accusers］，不好喝酒［given to wine］，用善道教訓人，

4 好指教少年婦人節制［sober］，愛丈夫，愛兒女，

5 謹守，貞潔，料理家務，待人有恩，順服自己的丈夫，免得神的道理被褻瀆［blasphemed］。

6 又勸少年人要謹守。

7 你自己凡事要顯出善行的榜樣；在道理［doctrine］上要正直、端莊、真誠［sincerity］。

8 言語純全，無可指責，叫那反對的人，既無處可說你們［you］的不是，便自覺羞愧。

9 勸僕人要順服自己的主人，凡事討他的喜歡，不可頂撞他，

10 不可私拿東西；要顯為忠誠，以致凡事尊榮我們救主神的道。

11 因為神救眾人的恩典已經顯明與眾人［to all men］，

12 教訓我們除去不敬虔的心和世俗的情慾，在今世自守、公義、敬虔度日，

13 等候那有福的盼望［that blessed hope］，並等候至大的神和我們［our］救主耶穌基督的榮耀顯現。

14 他為我們捨了自己，要贖我們脫離一切罪惡，又潔淨我們，特作自己的子民，熱心為善。

15 這些事你要講明，勸戒人，用各等權柄責備人；不可叫人輕看你。

4 That they may teach4994 the young3501 women to be sober,4994 to love5362 their husbands,5362 to love5388 their children,5388

5 To be discreet,4998 chaste,53 keepers3626 at3626 home,3626 good,18 obedient5293 to their own2398 husbands,435 that the word3056 of God2316 be not blasphemed.987

6 Young3501 men likewise5615 exhort3870 to be sober4993 minded.4993

7 In all3956 things showing3930 yourself4572 a pattern5179 of good2570 works:2041 in doctrine1319 showing soundness,90 gravity,4587 sincerity,861

8 Sound5199 speech,3056 that cannot176 be condemned;176 that he that is of the contrary1727 part may be ashamed,1788 having2192 no3367 evil5337 thing to say3004 of you.

9 Exhort servants1401 to be obedient5293 to their own2398 masters,1203 and to please2001 1511 them well1510 2101 in all3956 things; not answering483 again;483

10 Not purloining,3557 but showing1731 all3956 good18 fidelity;4102 that they may adorn2885 the doctrine1319 of God2316 our Savior4990 in all3956 things.

11 For the grace5485 of God2316 that brings salvation4992 has appeared2014 to all3956 men,444

12 Teaching3811 us that, denying720 ungodliness763 and worldly2886 lusts,1939 we should live2198 soberly,4996 righteously,1346 and godly,2153 in this3588 present3568 world;165
