3 For3588 the enemy341 hath persecuted7291 my soul;5315 he hath smitten1792 my life2416 down to the ground;776 he hath made me to dwell3427 in darkness,4285 as those that have been long5769 dead.4191

2 Благодетель мой и ограда моя, убежище мое и избавитель мой, щит мой, Тот, на Которого я уповаю, Который подчиняет мне народ мой.

3 Господи! что есть человек, что Ты знаешь его, и сын смертного, что обращаешь на него внимание?

4 Человек подобен дуновению; дни его, как тень преходящая.

5 Господи! преклони Твои небеса, и сниди; коснись гор, и воздымятся.

6 Блесни молниею, и рассей их; пусти стрелы Твои, и рассыпь их.

7 Простри с высоты руку Твою, избавь меня и извлеки меня из вод многих, из руки иноплеменных,

8 Коих уста говорят суетное, коих десница есть десница лжи.

9 Боже! новую песнь воспою Тебе, на десятиструнной псалтири буду бряцать Тебе,

10 Дающий спасение царям, и Давида, раба Своего, избавляющий от лютого меча.

11 Избавь меня, и исторгни меня из руки иноплеменных, коих уста говорят суетное, и коих десница есть десница лжи.

12 Сыны наши да будут как растения, возросшие в юношеской свежести; дочери наши, как столпы изящной работы в строении чертога;
