第2章

1 你要寫信給以弗所教會的天使［angel］，說：「那右手拿著七星、在七個金燭臺［candlesticks］中間行走的，說：

2 『我知道你的行為、勞碌、忍耐，也知道你是何等［how］不能容忍惡人。你也曾試驗那自稱為使徒卻不是使徒的，看出他們是說謊話［liars］的來。

3 你也能負重［borne］，又能［and］忍耐，曾為我的名勞苦，並不乏倦。

4 然而我有要責備你的［have somewhat against thee］，因為［because］你把你的最愛［thy first love］離棄了。

5 所以，應當回想你是從那裏墜落的，並要悔改，行起初所行的事。你若不悔改，我就快［quickly］臨到你那裏，把你的燭臺［candlestick］從原處挪去。

6 然而你還有一件可取的事，就是你恨惡尼哥拉一黨人所行的［deeds］，這也是我所恨惡的。

7 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，我必將神樂園中生命樹的果子賜給他吃。』」

8 你要寫信給士每拿教會的天使［angel］，說：「那首先的、末後的、死過又活著［is alive］的，說：

9 『我知道你的行為［thy works］、你的患難、你的貧窮，（你卻是富足的），我［I］也知道那自稱是猶太人所說的褻瀆［blasphemy］話，其實他們不是猶太人，乃是撒但之會［the synagogue of］的人。

10 你必［shalt］要受的苦你都［none of］不用怕。看哪［behold］，魔鬼要把你們中間幾個人下在監裏，叫你們被試煉，你們必受患難十日。你務要至死忠心，我就賜給你生命的冠冕［a crown of life］。

11 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，必不受第二次死的害。』」

12 你要寫信給別迦摩教會的天使［angel］，說：「那有兩刃利劍的，說：

13 『我知道你的行為［thy works］，又［and］知道你所居之處［where thou dwellest］，就是有撒但座位之處；當我忠心的殉道者［martyr］安提帕在你們中間，撒但所住之地方被殺的那些日子［those days］，你還堅守我的名，沒有棄絕我的道。

14 然而，有幾件事我要責備你，因為在你那裏有人持住［hold］巴蘭的道理［doctrine］；這巴蘭曾教導巴勒將絆腳石放在以色列人面前，叫他們吃祭偶像之物，犯［commit］姦淫的事。

15 你那裏也有人照樣持住［hold］我所恨惡的［which thing I hate］尼哥拉一黨人的道理［doctrine］。

16 所以，你當悔改；若不悔改，我就快臨到你那裏，又要［and will］用我口中的劍攻擊他們。

17 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，我必將那隱藏的嗎哪賜給他，並賜他一塊白石，石裏［in］寫著新名；除了那領受的以外，沒有人能認識。』」

18 你要寫信給推雅推喇教會的天使［angel］，說：「那眼目如火燄、腳像精［fine］銅的神之子說：

19 『我知道你的行為、愛心、信心、勤勞、和你的［and thy］忍耐、並你的行為［and thy works］；又知道在末後的，比在起初的更多［and the last to be more than the first］。

20 然而，有幾件事［a few things］我要責備你，因為［because］你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導並引誘我的僕人犯姦淫［to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication］，吃祭偶像之物。

21 我曾給她悔改她淫行［her fornication］的機會，她卻不悔改［repented not］。

22 看哪，我要叫她病臥在床。那些與她姦淫［commit adultery］的人，若不悔改他們［their］所行的，我也要叫他們同受大災難［great tribulation］。

23 我又要殺死她的兒女［children］，叫眾教會知道，我是那察看人肺腑心腸的，並要照你們的行為待［give］你們各人。

24 至於你們並［and］推雅推喇其餘的人，就是一切不從那道理［doctrine］、不曉得他們素常所說撒但深奧之理的人，我告訴你們，我不將別的擔子放在你們身上。

25 但你們已經有的，總要持守，直等到我來。

26 那得勝又持定我所作的工［keepeth my works］到底的，我要賜給他權柄制伏列國；

27 他必用鐵杖轄管［rule］他們；他們必［shall they］如同陶匠［potter］的瓦器被打得粉碎，像我從我父領受的權柄一樣。

28 我又要把晨星賜給他。

29 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽。』」

Revelation

Chapter 2

1 TO the angel * of the church of Eph'esus write: These things says the Omnipotent; who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2 I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot endure those who are ungodly: you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and you have found them liars:

3 And you have patience, and you have borne burdens for my name's sake, and have not wearied.

4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love.

5 Remember therefore from whence you have fallen and repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you very soon, and I will remove your candlestick from its place except you repent.

6 But this you have in your favour, you hate the works of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes, which I also hate.

7 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God.

8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive:

9 I know your works and your suffering and poverty, but you are rich, and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan.

10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

11 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

12 And to the angel of the church in Per'gamos write: These things says he who has the sharp two-edged sword;

13 I know your works and where you dwell even where Satan's seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit adultery.

15 And also you have those among you who hold to the teaching of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes.

16 Repent; or else I will come to you very soon, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thya- ti'ra write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like unto a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass from Lebanon;

19 I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

21 And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication.

22 Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works.

24 But I say unto you, the rest of you in Thy-a-ti'ra, those of you who do not have this doctrine, and those who have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will not put upon you another burden.

25 But hold fast to that which you already have till I come.

26 And he who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him I will give authority over the nations:

27 And he shall shepherd them with a rod of iron; like the vessels of the potter, they shall be shattered: even as I was disciplined by my Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.

4 然而我有要責備你的［have somewhat against thee］，因為［because］你把你的最愛［thy first love］離棄了。	4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love.
5 所以，應當回想你是從那裏墜落的，並要悔改，行起初所行的事。你若不悔改，我就快［quickly］臨到你那裏，把你的燭臺［candlestick］從原處挪去。	5 Remember therefore from whence you have fallen and repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you very soon, and I will remove your candlestick from its place except you repent.
6 然而你還有一件可取的事，就是你恨惡尼哥拉一黨人所行的［deeds］，這也是我所恨惡的。	6 But this you have in your favour, you hate the works of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes, which I also hate.
7 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，我必將神樂園中生命樹的果子賜給他吃。』」	7 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God.

10 你必［shalt］要受的苦你都［none of］不用怕。看哪［behold］，魔鬼要把你們中間幾個人下在監裏，叫你們被試煉，你們必受患難十日。你務要至死忠心，我就賜給你生命的冠冕［a crown of life］。	10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.
11 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，必不受第二次死的害。』」	11 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.
12 你要寫信給別迦摩教會的天使［angel］，說：「那有兩刃利劍的，說：	12 And to the angel of the church in Per'gamos write: These things says he who has the sharp two-edged sword;

17 靈［Spirit］向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽；得勝的，我必將那隱藏的嗎哪賜給他，並賜他一塊白石，石裏［in］寫著新名；除了那領受的以外，沒有人能認識。』」	17 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.

20 然而，有幾件事［a few things］我要責備你，因為［because］你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導並引誘我的僕人犯姦淫［to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication］，吃祭偶像之物。	20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 我曾給她悔改她淫行［her fornication］的機會，她卻不悔改［repented not］。	21 And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication.
22 看哪，我要叫她病臥在床。那些與她姦淫［commit adultery］的人，若不悔改他們［their］所行的，我也要叫他們同受大災難［great tribulation］。	22 Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
