Chapter 20

1 ON the first day of the week, early in the morning, while it was yet dark, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb; and she saw that the stone was removed from the tomb.

2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, They have taken our Lord out of that tomb, and I do not know where they have laid him.

3 So Simon and the other disciple went out, and came to the tomb.

4 And they were both running together; but that disciple outran Simon, and came first to the tomb.

5 And he looked in and saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter in.

6 Then Simon came after him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying,

7 And the burial napkin which was bound around his head, was not with the linen cloths, but was wrapped up and put in a place by itself.

8 Then the other disciple who had come first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

9 For they did yet not understand from the scripture, that he had to rise from the dead.

10 So the disciples went away again to their lodging place.

11 But Mary was standing near the tomb weeping; and as she wept, she looked into the tomb;

12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

14 She said this and turned around, and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? and whom do you want? She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, My lord, if you are the one who has taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will go and take him away.

16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned around and said to him in Hebrew, Rabbuli! which means, My Teacher!

17 Jesus said to her, Do not come near me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

18 Then Mary of Magdala came and brought glad tidings to the disciples, that she had seen our Lord and that he had told her these things.

19 When it was evening on that first day of the week, and the doors were shut where the disciples were staying for fear of the Jews, Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you.

20 He said this, and then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw our Lord.

21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you; just as my Father has sent me, so I send you.

22 And when he had said these things, he gave them courage and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

23 If you forgive a man his sins, they shall be forgiven to him; and if you hold a man's sins, they are held.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called the Twin, was not there with them when Jesus came.

25 And the disciples said to him, We have seen our Lord. He said to them, Unless I see in his hands the places of the nails, and put my fingers in them, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 Eight days later, the disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, when the doors were locked, and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be with you.

27 Then he said to Thomas, Bring your finger here, and see my hands; and bring your hand and put it into my side; and do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.

28 Thomas answered and said to him, O my Lord and my God!

29 Jesus said to him, Now you believe, because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen me, and have believed.

30 Many other miracles Jesus did in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

31 Even these are written, so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and when you believe you shall have life everlasting in his name.

1 В первый день недели, рано утром, когда ещё было темно, Мария Магдалина пришла к гробнице и увидела, что камень отодвинут от входа.

2 Она тотчас же побежала к Симону Петру и к другому ученику, которого Иисус любил, и сказала им: «Господа унесли из гробницы, и мы не знаем, куда Его положили!»

3 Тогда Пётр и другой ученик сразу же отправились к гробнице.

4 Оба они бежали, но другой ученик опередил Петра и прибежал к гробнице первым.

5 Наклонившись, он увидел лежавшие там полосы льняной ткани, но не вошёл вовнутрь.

6 В это время подоспел и Симон Пётр, бежавший вслед за ним, и вошёл в гробницу. Он увидел куски ткани, лежавшие там,

7 и погребальный платок, покрывавший голову Иисуса. Платок не лежал вместе с льняной тканью, а был свёрнут и положен в стороне.

8 Тогда другой ученик, который первым пришёл к гробнице, вошёл вовнутрь, увидел это и поверил.

9 Они всё ещё не понимали Писаний, в которых было сказано, что Иисус должен воскреснуть из мёртвых.

10 После этого ученики разошлись по домам,

11 а Мария осталась стоять перед гробницей. Рыдая, она наклонилась и заглянула в гробницу.

12 Там она увидела двух Ангелов, одетых в белое: один из них сидел в изголовье, а другой — в ногах у того места, где раньше лежало тело Иисуса.

13 Ангелы спросили Марию: «Женщина, почему ты плачешь?» Тогда женщина ответила им: «Моего Господа унесли, и я не знаю, где Его положили».

14 Сказав это, она обернулась и увидела, что позади неё стоит Иисус. Однако Мария не знала, что это был Иисус.

15 Иисус спросил её: «Женщина, почему ты плачешь? Кого ты ищешь?» Думая, что это садовник, она ответила Ему: «Господин, если ты вынес Его отсюда, то скажи мне, где ты положил Его, и я пойду, и заберу Его».

16 Иисус сказал ей: «Мария!» Она обернулась и воскликнула ему по-еврейски: «Раввуни!» — что означает «Учитель!»

17 Иисус повелел: «Не держи Меня, так как Я ещё не вознёсся к Отцу. Но пойди к братьям Моим и скажи им: „Я возвращаюсь к Отцу Моему и вашему, и к Богу Моему и вашему”».

18 Мария Магдалина пошла и возвестила ученикам, что видела Господа, и пересказала всё, что Он говорил ей.

19 Вечером того же первого дня недели ученики Иисуса собрались вместе и крепко заперли двери из страха перед иудейскими предводителями. Пришёл Иисус и, став среди них, сказал: «Мир вам!»

20 Сказав это, Он показал им Свои руки и рёбра. Ученики были рады увидеть Господа.

21 И снова Иисус сказал им: «Мир вам! Как Отец послал Меня, так и Я посылаю вас».

22 После этих слов Он дохнул на них и сказал: «Примите Святого Духа.

23 Грехи, которые вы простите людям, простятся им, а грехи, которые вы не простите, им не простятся».

24 Однако одного из двенадцати, Фомы, по прозванию Близнец, не было среди них, когда приходил Иисус.

25 Другие ученики стали говорить ему: «Мы видели Господа!» Он же сказал им: «Пока я сам не увижу следы от гвоздей у Него на руках и пока не вложу палец свой в раны от гвоздей, и пока не вложу руку свою в рану на боку, не поверю!»

26 Через неделю ученики Иисуса снова собрались в том же месте, и Фома был среди них. Хотя двери и были заперты, вошёл Иисус, стал среди них и обратился к ним с такими словами: «Мир вам!»

27 Потом Он сказал Фоме: «Вложи сюда палец. Посмотри на Мои руки. Протяни руку и вложи её в рану у Меня на боку. Перестань сомневаться и поверь!»

28 Фома ответил Ему: «Господь Мой и Бог Мой!»

29 Иисус сказал ему: «Ты поверил, потому что увидел Меня? Блаженны те, кто веруют, не видя».

30 Много ещё других знамений, которые не записаны в этой книге, совершил Иисус в присутствии Своих учеников.

31 Но эти знамения описаны, чтобы вы поверили, что Иисус есть Христос, Сын Божий, и, чтобы поверив, вы имели жизнь во имя Его.

2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, They have taken our Lord out of that tomb, and I do not know where they have laid him.

2 Она тотчас же побежала к Симону Петру и к другому ученику, которого Иисус любил, и сказала им: «Господа унесли из гробницы, и мы не знаем, куда Его положили!»

3 So Simon and the other disciple went out, and came to the tomb.

3 Тогда Пётр и другой ученик сразу же отправились к гробнице.

4 And they were both running together; but that disciple outran Simon, and came first to the tomb.

4 Оба они бежали, но другой ученик опередил Петра и прибежал к гробнице первым.

5 And he looked in and saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter in.

6 Then Simon came after him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying,

7 And the burial napkin which was bound around his head, was not with the linen cloths, but was wrapped up and put in a place by itself.

7 и погребальный платок, покрывавший голову Иисуса. Платок не лежал вместе с льняной тканью, а был свёрнут и положен в стороне.

8 Then the other disciple who had come first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

8 Тогда другой ученик, который первым пришёл к гробнице, вошёл вовнутрь, увидел это и поверил.

9 For they did yet not understand from the scripture, that he had to rise from the dead.

9 Они всё ещё не понимали Писаний, в которых было сказано, что Иисус должен воскреснуть из мёртвых.

10 So the disciples went away again to their lodging place.

10 После этого ученики разошлись по домам,

11 But Mary was standing near the tomb weeping; and as she wept, she looked into the tomb;

12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

13 Ангелы спросили Марию: «Женщина, почему ты плачешь?» Тогда женщина ответила им: «Моего Господа унесли, и я не знаю, где Его положили».

14 She said this and turned around, and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

14 Сказав это, она обернулась и увидела, что позади неё стоит Иисус. Однако Мария не знала, что это был Иисус.

15 Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? and whom do you want? She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, My lord, if you are the one who has taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will go and take him away.

15 Иисус спросил её: «Женщина, почему ты плачешь? Кого ты ищешь?» Думая, что это садовник, она ответила Ему: «Господин, если ты вынес Его отсюда, то скажи мне, где ты положил Его, и я пойду, и заберу Его».

16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned around and said to him in Hebrew, Rabbuli! which means, My Teacher!

16 Иисус сказал ей: «Мария!» Она обернулась и воскликнула ему по-еврейски: «Раввуни!» — что означает «Учитель!»

17 Jesus said to her, Do not come near me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

17 Иисус повелел: «Не держи Меня, так как Я ещё не вознёсся к Отцу. Но пойди к братьям Моим и скажи им: „Я возвращаюсь к Отцу Моему и вашему, и к Богу Моему и вашему”».

18 Then Mary of Magdala came and brought glad tidings to the disciples, that she had seen our Lord and that he had told her these things.

18 Мария Магдалина пошла и возвестила ученикам, что видела Господа, и пересказала всё, что Он говорил ей.

19 When it was evening on that first day of the week, and the doors were shut where the disciples were staying for fear of the Jews, Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you.

19 Вечером того же первого дня недели ученики Иисуса собрались вместе и крепко заперли двери из страха перед иудейскими предводителями. Пришёл Иисус и, став среди них, сказал: «Мир вам!»

20 He said this, and then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw our Lord.

26 Eight days later, the disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, when the doors were locked, and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be with you.

26 Через неделю ученики Иисуса снова собрались в том же месте, и Фома был среди них. Хотя двери и были заперты, вошёл Иисус, стал среди них и обратился к ним с такими словами: «Мир вам!»

27 Then he said to Thomas, Bring your finger here, and see my hands; and bring your hand and put it into my side; and do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.

27 Потом Он сказал Фоме: «Вложи сюда палец. Посмотри на Мои руки. Протяни руку и вложи её в рану у Меня на боку. Перестань сомневаться и поверь!»

28 Thomas answered and said to him, O my Lord and my God!

28 Фома ответил Ему: «Господь Мой и Бог Мой!»

29 Jesus said to him, Now you believe, because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen me, and have believed.

29 Иисус сказал ему: «Ты поверил, потому что увидел Меня? Блаженны те, кто веруют, не видя».

30 Many other miracles Jesus did in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

30 Много ещё других знамений, которые не записаны в этой книге, совершил Иисус в присутствии Своих учеников.

31 Even these are written, so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and when you believe you shall have life everlasting in his name.

31 Но эти знамения описаны, чтобы вы поверили, что Иисус есть Христос, Сын Божий, и, чтобы поверив, вы имели жизнь во имя Его.
