馬太福音

第24章

1 耶穌出去［went out］，離開了聖殿［departed from the temple］；他的［his］門徒進前來，把殿宇指給他看。

2 耶穌對他們說：「你們不是看見這一切［all these things］嗎？我實在告訴你們：『將來在這裏沒有一塊石頭留在石頭上，不被拆毀了。』」

3 耶穌在橄欖山上坐著的時候［as］，門徒暗暗的到他那裏［came unto him］，說：「請告訴我們，甚麼時候有這些事？你降臨和世界的末了有甚麼預兆呢？」

4 耶穌回答他們［them］說：「總要謹慎［Take heed］，免得有人迷惑你們。

5 因為將來有許多［many］人冒我的名來，說：『我是基督』；並且要迷惑許多人。

6 你們也要聽見打仗和打仗的風聲；總不要驚慌；因為這一切［all］事是必［must］有的，只是末期還沒有到。

7 民要攻打民，國要攻打國；多處必有饑荒、瘟疫［pestilences］、地震。

8 這都是苦難［sorrows］的起頭。

9 那時，人要把你們陷在患難裏，也要殺害你們；你們又要為我的名被列國［nations］恨惡。

10 這必叫許多人厭棄［And then shall many be offended］，也要彼此陷害，彼此恨惡。

11 且有許多［many］假先知起來，要［shall］迷惑多人。

12 又［And］因不法的事增多，許多人的愛心漸漸冷淡了［the love of many shall wax cold］。

13 唯有忍耐到底的，必然得救。

14 這天國的福音要傳遍世［world］間［in］，對列國［nations］作見證；然後末期才來到。

15 「那時［when］，你們要［shall］看見先知但以理所說、那行毀壞可憎的站在聖所［holy place］，（讀這經的人須要會意；）

16 那時，在猶太的，應當逃到山上；

17 在房上的，不要下來拿家裏的東西；

18 在田裏的，也不要回去取衣服。

19 當那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的有禍了。

20 只是［But］你們應當祈求，叫你們逃走的時候，不遇見冬天或是安息日；

21 因為那時必有大災難，自從［since］世界的起頭直到今時［this time］，未有［was not］這樣的災難，後來也必沒有。

22 若不減少那些［those］日子，凡有血氣的總沒有一個得救的；只是為選民，那些［those］日子必減少了。

23 那時，若有人對你們說：『看哪［lo］，基督在這裏，或在那裏［or there］』；你們不要信。

24 因為假基督、假先知將要起來，顯大神蹟、大奇事；倘若能行，甚至［insomuch］他們要迷惑所選的民了［they shall deceive the very elect］。

25 看哪，我預先告訴你們了。

26 所以［Wherefore］若有人對你們說：『看哪，基督在荒漠［desert］裏』；你們不要出去。或說：『看哪，基督在隱秘的屋［secret chambers］中』；你們不要信。

27 因［For as］閃電從東邊發出，直照到西邊；人子降臨，也要這樣。

28 因［For］屍首在那裏，鷹也必聚在那裏。」

29 「那些日子的災難一過去，日頭就要［shall］變黑［be darkened］，月亮也不放光，眾星要從天上墜落，諸天之［of the heavens］勢都要震動；

30 那時，人子的兆頭要顯在天上；地上一切宗族［all the tribes］都要哀哭，他們要看見人子，有能力，有大榮耀，駕著天上的雲降臨。

31 他要差遣他的天使［angels］，用號筒的大聲，將他的選民，從四風［winds］，從天這邊到天那邊，都招聚了來。

32 「你們可以學個無花果樹的比喻［learn a parable of the fig tree］：當樹枝還［yet］嫩長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天近了；

33 這樣，你們看見這一切的事，也該知道日子［it］近了，正在門口了。

34 我實在告訴你們：『這世代還沒有過去，這些事都要成就。』

35 天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去。

36 「只是［But］那日子，那時辰，沒有人知道，連天上的天使［angels］也不知道，唯獨我［my］父知道。

37 但［But］挪亞的日子怎樣，人子降臨也要怎樣。

38 當洪水以前的日子，人照常吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亞進方舟的那日，

39 不知不覺洪水來了，把他們全都沖去；人子降臨也要這樣。

40 那時，兩個人在田裏；要［shall］取去一個，撇下一個。

41 兩個女人在磨子［at the mill］推磨；要［shall］取去一個，撇下一個。

42 所以，你們要警醒；因為不知道你們的主是那個時辰［what hour］來到。

43 家主若知道幾更天有賊來，就必警醒，不容人挖透他的［his］房屋，這是你們所知道的。

44 所以，你們也要預備；因為你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。

45 「那時［then］，誰是忠心有智慧［wise］的僕人，為主人所派，管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

46 他的［his］主人來到，看見他這樣行，那僕人就有福了。

47 我實在告訴你們：『主人要派他管理一切所有的。』

48 但［But］那惡僕心裏若［if］說：『我的主人必來得遲』；

49 就動手打他的同伴，又和酒醉的人一同吃喝；

50 在不昐望他［looketh not for him］的日子、不知不覺［not aware of］的時辰、那僕人的主人要來，

51 把他腰斬了［cut him asunder］，定他和偽善之人［hypocrites］同罪；在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。

Matthew

Chapter 24

1 AND Jesus went out of the temple to go away; and his disciples came up to him, and were showing him the building of the temple.

2 But he said to them, Behold, do you not see all of these? truly I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone, which will not be torn down.

3 While Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up talking among themselves, and they said to him, Tell us when these things will happen, and what is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?

4 Jesus answered and said to them, Be careful that no man deceives you.

5 For many will come in my name, and say, I am the Christ, and they will deceive many.

6 You are bound to hear of revolutions and rumors of wars; look out and do not be disturbed; for all of these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes, in different places.

8 But all these things are just the beginning of travail.

9 Then they will deliver you over to be oppressed, and they will kill you; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.

10 Then many will stumble, and they will hate one another, and betray one another.

11 And many false prophets will rise, and will mislead a great many.

12 And because of the growth of iniquity, the love of many will become cold.

13 But he who has patience to the end, he will be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all the nations; then the end will come.

15 When you see the sign of the refuse of desolation, as spoken by the prophet Daniel, accumulating in the holy place, whoever reads will understand it.

16 Then let those who are in Judaea, flee to the mountain,

17 And he who is on the roof, let him not come down to take things out of his house.

18 And he who is in the field, let him not return back to take his clothes.

19 But woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the sabbath.

21 For then will be great suffering, such as has never happened from the beginning of the world until now, and never will be again.

22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would live; but for the sake of the chosen ones those days will be shortened.

23 Then if any man should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, do not believe it.

24 For there will rise false Christs and lying prophets, and they will show signs and great wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.

25 Behold, I have told you in advance.

26 Therefore, if they should say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, do not go out; or, behold, he is in the room, do not believe it.

27 For just as the lightning comes out from the east, and is seen even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

28 For wherever the corpse is, there will the eagles gather.

29 Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the universe will be shaken.

30 Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in the sky; and then all the generations of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of the sky, with an army and great glory.

31 And he will send his angels with a large trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the universe to the other.

32 From the fig tree learn a parable. As soon as its branches become tender and bring forth leaves, you know that summer is coming.

33 So even you, when you see all these things, know that it has arrived at the door.

34 Truly I say to you, that this generation will not pass away, until all these things happen.

35 Even heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But concerning that day and that hour, no man knows, not even the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.

37 Just as in the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

38 For as the people before the flood were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark,

39 And they knew nothing until the flood came and carried them all away; such will be the coming of the Son of man.

40 Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken away and the other left.

41 Two women will be grinding at the handmill, one will be taken and the other left.

42 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know at what hour your Lord will come.

43 But know this much, that if the master of the house knew at what watch of the night the thief comes, he would keep awake and would not let his house be plundered.

44 For this reason, you also be ready, for the Son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has appointed over his household, to give them food in due time?

46 Blessed is that servant, when his Lord comes and finds him so doing.

47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all that he has.

48 But if a bad servant should say in his heart, My lord will delay his coming,

49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with drunkards,

50 The Lord of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.

51 And he will severely scourge him, and give him a portion like that of the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

3 耶穌在橄欖山上坐著的時候［as］，門徒暗暗的到他那裏［came unto him］，說：「請告訴我們，甚麼時候有這些事？你降臨和世界的末了有甚麼預兆呢？」	3 While Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up talking among themselves, and they said to him, Tell us when these things will happen, and what is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?
4 耶穌回答他們［them］說：「總要謹慎［Take heed］，免得有人迷惑你們。	4 Jesus answered and said to them, Be careful that no man deceives you.
5 因為將來有許多［many］人冒我的名來，說：『我是基督』；並且要迷惑許多人。	5 For many will come in my name, and say, I am the Christ, and they will deceive many.
6 你們也要聽見打仗和打仗的風聲；總不要驚慌；因為這一切［all］事是必［must］有的，只是末期還沒有到。	6 You are bound to hear of revolutions and rumors of wars; look out and do not be disturbed; for all of these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 民要攻打民，國要攻打國；多處必有饑荒、瘟疫［pestilences］、地震。	7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes, in different places.
8 這都是苦難［sorrows］的起頭。	8 But all these things are just the beginning of travail.
9 那時，人要把你們陷在患難裏，也要殺害你們；你們又要為我的名被列國［nations］恨惡。	9 Then they will deliver you over to be oppressed, and they will kill you; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
10 這必叫許多人厭棄［And then shall many be offended］，也要彼此陷害，彼此恨惡。	10 Then many will stumble, and they will hate one another, and betray one another.

19 當那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的有禍了。	19 But woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!
20 只是［But］你們應當祈求，叫你們逃走的時候，不遇見冬天或是安息日；	20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the sabbath.
21 因為那時必有大災難，自從［since］世界的起頭直到今時［this time］，未有［was not］這樣的災難，後來也必沒有。	21 For then will be great suffering, such as has never happened from the beginning of the world until now, and never will be again.
22 若不減少那些［those］日子，凡有血氣的總沒有一個得救的；只是為選民，那些［those］日子必減少了。	22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would live; but for the sake of the chosen ones those days will be shortened.
23 那時，若有人對你們說：『看哪［lo］，基督在這裏，或在那裏［or there］』；你們不要信。	23 Then if any man should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, do not believe it.
24 因為假基督、假先知將要起來，顯大神蹟、大奇事；倘若能行，甚至［insomuch］他們要迷惑所選的民了［they shall deceive the very elect］。	24 For there will rise false Christs and lying prophets, and they will show signs and great wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.
25 看哪，我預先告訴你們了。	25 Behold, I have told you in advance.
26 所以［Wherefore］若有人對你們說：『看哪，基督在荒漠［desert］裏』；你們不要出去。或說：『看哪，基督在隱秘的屋［secret chambers］中』；你們不要信。	26 Therefore, if they should say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, do not go out; or, behold, he is in the room, do not believe it.
27 因［For as］閃電從東邊發出，直照到西邊；人子降臨，也要這樣。	27 For just as the lightning comes out from the east, and is seen even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

33 這樣，你們看見這一切的事，也該知道日子［it］近了，正在門口了。	33 So even you, when you see all these things, know that it has arrived at the door.
34 我實在告訴你們：『這世代還沒有過去，這些事都要成就。』	34 Truly I say to you, that this generation will not pass away, until all these things happen.
35 天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去。	35 Even heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 「只是［But］那日子，那時辰，沒有人知道，連天上的天使［angels］也不知道，唯獨我［my］父知道。	36 But concerning that day and that hour, no man knows, not even the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.
37 但［But］挪亞的日子怎樣，人子降臨也要怎樣。	37 Just as in the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

46 他的［his］主人來到，看見他這樣行，那僕人就有福了。	46 Blessed is that servant, when his Lord comes and finds him so doing.
47 我實在告訴你們：『主人要派他管理一切所有的。』	47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all that he has.
48 但［But］那惡僕心裏若［if］說：『我的主人必來得遲』；	48 But if a bad servant should say in his heart, My lord will delay his coming,
49 就動手打他的同伴，又和酒醉的人一同吃喝；	49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with drunkards,
50 在不昐望他［looketh not for him］的日子、不知不覺［not aware of］的時辰、那僕人的主人要來，	50 The Lord of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.
