Psalm 129

1 MY oppressors have been many from my youth, may Israel now say;

2 My oppressors have been many from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 They have scourged me upon my back; they have made long their oppression.

4 The LORD is righteous; he will cut asunder the cord of the wicked.

5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 Let them be as the grass upon the house tops, which pulls out and withers when the wind strikes it,

7 Wherewith the reaper fills not his hand, nor he who binds sheaves his bosom.

8 Neither do they who pass by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.

1 Песнь восхождения. Из глубины взываю к Тебе, Господи.

2 Господи! услышь глас мой. Да будут уши Твои внимательны к воплю молений моих.

3 Ежели на беззакония взирать будешь, Господи: Господи, кто устоит?

4 Но у Тебя прощение, дабы благоговели к Тебе.

5 Ожидаю Господа; ожидает душа моя, уповаю на слово Его.

6 Душа моя ожидает Господа паче стражей утренних, стрегущих утром.

7 Да ожидает Израиль Господа; ибо у Господа милость, и великое у него искупление.

8 И Он искупит Израиля от всех беззаконий его.
