Chapter 11

1 And when the people5971 complained,596 it displeased7451 241 the LORD:3068 and the LORD3068 heard8085 it; and his anger639 was kindled;2734 and the fire784 of the LORD3068 burnt1197 among them, and consumed398 them that were in the uttermost parts7097 of the camp.4264

2 And the people5971 cried6817 unto413 Moses;4872 and when Moses4872 prayed6419 unto413 the LORD,3068 the fire784 was quenched.8257

3 And he called7121 the name8034 of the place4725 Taberah:8404 because3588 the fire784 of the LORD3068 burnt1197 among them.

4 And the mixed multitude628 that834 was among7130 them fell a lusting:183 8378 and the children1121 of Israel3478 also1571 wept1058 again,7725 and said,559 Who4310 shall give us flesh1320 to eat?398

5 We remember2142 853 the fish,1710 which834 we did eat398 in Egypt4714 freely;2600 853 the cucumbers,7180 and the melons,20 and the leeks,2682 and the onions,1211 and the garlic: 7762

6 But now6258 our soul5315 is dried away:3002 there is nothing369 at all,3605 beside1115 413 this manna,4478 before our eyes.5869

7 And the manna4478 was as coriander1407 seed,2233 and the color5869 thereof as the color5869 of bedellium.916

8 And the people5971 went about,7751 and gathered3950 it, and ground2912 it in mills,7347 or176 beat1743 it in a mortar,4085 and baked1310 it in pans,6517 and made6213 cakes5692 of it: and the taste2940 of it was1961 as the taste2940 of fresh3955 oil.8081

9 And when the dew2919 fell3381 upon5921 the camp4264 in the night,3915 the manna4478 fell3381 upon5921 it.

10 Then Moses4872 heard8085 853 the people5971 weep1058 throughout their families,4940 every man376 in the door6607 of his tent:168 and the anger639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 greatly;3966 Moses4872 also was displeased.5869 7451

11 And Moses4872 said559 unto413 the LORD,3068 Wherefore4100 hast thou afflicted7489 thy servant?5650 and wherefore4100 have I not3808 found4672 favor2580 in thy sight,5869 that thou layest7760 853 the burden4853 of all3605 this2088 people5971 upon5921 me?

12 Have I595 conceived2030 853 all3605 this2088 people?5971 have I595 begotten3205 them, that3588 thou shouldest say559 unto413 me, Carry5375 them in thy bosom,2436 as834 a nursing father539 beareth5375 853 the sucking child,3243 unto5921 the land127 which834 thou sworest7650 unto their fathers?1

13 Whence4480 370 should I have flesh1320 to give5414 unto all3605 this2088 people?5971 for3588 they weep1058 unto5921 me, saying,559 Give5414 us flesh,1320 that we may eat.398

14 I595 am not able3201 3808 to bear5375 853 all3605 this2088 people5971 alone,905 because3588 it is too heavy3515 for4480 me.

15 And if518 thou859 deal6213 thus3602 with me, kill2026 me, I pray thee,4994 out of hand,2026 if518 I have found4672 favor2580 in thy sight;5869 and let me not408 see7200 my wretchedness.7451

16 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Gather622 unto me seventy7657 men376 of the elders4480 2205 of Israel,3478 whom834 thou knowest3045 to be the elders2205 of the people,5971 and officers7860 over them; and bring3947 them unto413 the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 that they may stand3320 there8033 with5973 thee.

17 And I will come down3381 and talk1696 with5973 thee there:8033 and I will take680 of4480 the spirit7307 which834 is upon5921 thee, and will put7760 it upon5921 them; and they shall bear5375 the burden4853 of the people5971 with854 thee, that thou859 bear5375 it not3808 thyself alone.905

18 And say559 thou unto413 the people,5971 Sanctify yourselves6942 against tomorrow,4279 and ye shall eat398 flesh:1320 for3588 ye have wept1058 in the ears241 of the LORD,3068 saying,559 Who4310 shall give us flesh1320 to eat?398 for3588 it was well2895 with us in Egypt:4714 therefore the LORD3068 will give5414 you flesh,1320 and ye shall eat.398

19 Ye shall not3808 eat398 one259 day,3117 nor3808 two days,3117 nor3808 five2568 days,3117 neither3808 ten6235 days,3117 nor3808 twenty6242 days;3117

20 But even5704 a whole3117 month,2320 until5704 834 it come out3318 at your nostrils,4480 639 and it be1961 loathsome2214 unto you: because3282 that3588 ye have despised3988 853 the LORD3068 which834 is among7130 you, and have wept1058 before6440 him, saying,559 Why4100 2088 came we forth3318 out of Egypt?4480 4714

21 And Moses4872 said,559 The people,5971 among7130 whom834 I595 am, are six8337 hundred3967 thousand505 footmen;7273 and thou859 hast said,559 I will give5414 them flesh,1320 that they may eat398 a whole3117 month.2320

22 Shall the flocks6629 and the herds1241 be slain7819 for them, to suffice4672 them? or518 853 shall all3605 the fish1709 of the sea3220 be gathered together622 for them, to suffice4672 them?

23 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Is the LORD's3068 hand3027 waxed short?7114 thou shalt see7200 now6258 whether my word1697 shall come to pass7136 unto thee or518 not.3808

24 And Moses4872 went out,3318 and told1696 413 the people5971 853 the words1697 of the LORD,3068 and gathered622 the seventy7657 men376 of the elders4480 2205 of the people,5971 and set5975 them round about5439 the tabernacle.168

25 And the LORD3068 came down3381 in a cloud,6051 and spoke1696 unto413 him, and took680 of4480 the spirit7307 that834 was upon5921 him, and gave5414 it unto5921 the seventy7657 elders:376 2205 and it came to pass,1961 that, when the spirit7307 rested5117 upon5921 them, they prophesied,5012 and did not3808 cease.3254

26 But there remained7604 two8147 of the men376 in the camp,4264 the name8034 of the one259 was Eldad,419 and the name8034 of the other8145 Medad:4312 and the spirit7307 rested5117 upon5921 them; and they1992 were of them that were written,3789 but went not out3318 3808 unto the tabernacle:168 and they prophesied5012 in the camp.4264

27 And there ran7323 a young man,5288 and told5046 Moses,4872 and said,559 Eldad419 and Medad4312 do prophesy5012 in the camp.4264

28 And Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun,5126 the servant8334 of Moses,4872 one of his young men,4480 979 answered6030 and said,559 My lord113 Moses,4872 forbid3607 them.

29 And Moses4872 said559 unto him, Enviest7065 thou859 for my sake? would God4310 5414 that all3605 the LORD's3068 people5971 were prophets,5030 and that3588 the LORD3068 would put5414 853 his spirit7307 upon5921 them!

30 And Moses4872 got622 him into413 the camp,4264 he1931 and the elders2205 of Israel.3478

31 And there went forth5265 a wind7307 from4480 854 the LORD,3068 and brought1468 quails7958 from4480 the sea,3220 and let them fall5203 by5921 the camp,4264 as it were a day's3117 journey1870 on this side,3541 and as it were a day's3117 journey1870 on the other side,3541 round about5439 the camp,4264 and as it were two cubits520 high upon5921 the face6440 of the earth.776

32 And the people5971 stood up6965 all3605 that1931 day,3117 and all3605 that night,3915 and all3605 the next4283 day,3117 and they gathered622 853 the quails:7958 he that gathered least4591 gathered622 ten6235 homers:2563 and they spread them all abroad7849 7849 for themselves round about5439 the camp.4264

33 And while the flesh1320 was yet5750 between996 their teeth,8127 ere2962 it was chewed,3772 the wrath639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 against the people,5971 and the LORD3068 smote5221 the people5971 with a very3966 great7227 plague.4347

34 And he called7121 853 the name8034 of that1931 place4725 Kibroth-hattaavah:6914 because3588 there8033 they buried6912 853 the people5971 that lusted.183

35 And the people5971 journeyed5265 from Kibroth-hattaavah4480 6914 unto Hazeroth;2698 and abode1961 at Hazeroth.2698

3 И нарекли имя месту сему: Тавера {Жжение}; потому что сожигал их огонь Господень.

4 Скопище иноземцев, которые были с ними, стало обнаруживать прихоти; от чего и сыны Израилевы опять заплакали, и говорили: кто накормит нас мясом?

5 Мы помним рыбу, которую в Египте мы ели даром, огурцы, дыни, лук, репчатой лук и чеснок.

6 А ныне душа наша сохнет; нет ничего, только манна в глазах наших.

7 (Манна же была подобна кишнецовому семени, похожа видом на бдолу.

8 Народ, ходя, собирал ее, молол в жерновах или толок в ступе, варил в котле и делал из нее лепешки; вкус же ее подобен был вкусу лепешек, намазанных елеем.

9 И когда роса ложилась на стан ночью, тогда ложилась на него и манна.)

10 Моисей слышал, что народ плачет по племенам их каждый у дверей шатра своего; и сильно воспламенился гнев Господень, и прискорбно было для Моисея.

11 И сказал Моисей Господу: для чего Ты мучишь раба Твоего? И почему я не нашел милости пред очами Твоими, что Ты возложил на меня бремя всего народа сего?

12 Разве я носил во чреве весь народ сей, и разве я родил его, что Ты говоришь мне: неси его в недре твоем, как нянька носит ребенка, в землю, которую Ты с клятвою обещал отцам его?

13 Откуда мне взять мясо, чтобы дать всему народу сему? Ибо они плачут предо мною и говорят: дай нам есть мяса.

14 Я один не могу нести всего народа сего; потому что он тяжел для меня.

15 Когда Ты так поступаешь со мною, то лучше умертви меня, если я нашел милость пред очами Твоими, чтоб мне не видеть бедствия моего.

16 И сказал Господь Моисею: собери Мне семьдесят мужей из старейшин Израилевых, которых ты знаешь, что они старейшины и приставники его, и возьми их к скинии собрания, чтоб они стали там с тобою.

17 Я сойду и буду говорить там с тобою, и возьму от Духа, который на тебе, и возложу на них, чтоб они несли с тобою бремя народа, а не один ты носил.

18 Народу же скажи: очиститесь к завтрашнему дню, и будете есть мясо; поелику вы плакали в слух Господа, и говорили: кто накормит нас мясом; хорошо нам было в Египте: то и даст вам Господь [есть] мясо, и будете есть [мясо].

19 Не один день будете есть, не два дни, не пять дней, не десять дней и не двадцать дней;

20 Но целый месяц [будете есть], пока не пойдет из ноздрей ваших и не сделается для вас отвратительным, за то, что вы презрели Господа, Который среди вас, и плакали пред Ним, говоря: для чего бы нам выходить из Египта?

21 И сказал Моисей: шесть сот тысяч пеших в народе сем, среди которого я нахожусь: а Ты говоришь: Я дам им мясо, и будут есть целый месяц.

22 Если мелкий и крупный скот заколоть для них, достаточно ли для них будет? И если всю рыбу морскую собрать для них, достаточно ли для них будет?

23 И сказал Господь Моисею: неужели рука Господня коротка? Ныне ты увидишь, сбудется ли с тобою слово Мое, или нет?

24 Моисей вышел, и сказал народу слова Господни, и собрал семьдесят мужей из старейшин народа и поставил их около скинии.

25 Тогда сошел Господь в облаке и говорил с ним, и взял от Духа, который на нем, и дал семидесяти мужам старейшинам. И когда почил на них Дух, они стали пророчествовать, а потом перестали.

26 Двое из мужей оставались в стане; одному имя Елдад, а другому имя Модад; но и на них почил Дух; (они были из числа записанных, только не выходили к скинии,) и они пророчествовали в стане.

27 И прибежал отрок, и донес Моисею, и сказал: Елдад и Модад пророчествуют в стане.

28 В ответ на сие Иисус, сын Навин, служитель Моисея, один из избранных его, сказал: господин мой Моисей, запрети им.

29 Но Моисей сказал ему: неужели ты завидуешь? О, если бы весь народ Господень был пророками, когда бы Господь послал Духа Своего на них!

30 И возвратился Моисей в стан, он и старейшины Израилевы.

31 Тогда ветер поднялся от Господа, и принес от моря перепелов, и поверг их к стану, на путь дня по одну сторону, и на путь дня по другую сторону около стана, на два почти локтя от земли.

32 И встал народ, и весь тот день, и всю ночь, и весь следующий день собирали перепелов; кто мало собирал, тот собрал десять куч: и расклали их для себя вокруг стана.

33 Но когда мясо еще было в зубах их и не было еще съедено, гнев Господен возгорелся на народ, и поразил Господь народ весьма великою язвою.

34 И нарекли имя месту сему: Киброт-таава {Гробы прихоти}; поелику там хоронили прихотливый народ.

35 От Киброт-таавы отправился народ в Асироф, и остановился в Асирофе.

10 Моисей слышал, что народ плачет по племенам их каждый у дверей шатра своего; и сильно воспламенился гнев Господень, и прискорбно было для Моисея.

11 And Moses4872 said559 unto413 the LORD,3068 Wherefore4100 hast thou afflicted7489 thy servant?5650 and wherefore4100 have I not3808 found4672 favor2580 in thy sight,5869 that thou layest7760 853 the burden4853 of all3605 this2088 people5971 upon5921 me?

11 И сказал Моисей Господу: для чего Ты мучишь раба Твоего? И почему я не нашел милости пред очами Твоими, что Ты возложил на меня бремя всего народа сего?

13 Откуда мне взять мясо, чтобы дать всему народу сему? Ибо они плачут предо мною и говорят: дай нам есть мяса.

14 I595 am not able3201 3808 to bear5375 853 all3605 this2088 people5971 alone,905 because3588 it is too heavy3515 for4480 me.

14 Я один не могу нести всего народа сего; потому что он тяжел для меня.

15 Когда Ты так поступаешь со мною, то лучше умертви меня, если я нашел милость пред очами Твоими, чтоб мне не видеть бедствия моего.

16 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Gather622 unto me seventy7657 men376 of the elders4480 2205 of Israel,3478 whom834 thou knowest3045 to be the elders2205 of the people,5971 and officers7860 over them; and bring3947 them unto413 the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 that they may stand3320 there8033 with5973 thee.

16 И сказал Господь Моисею: собери Мне семьдесят мужей из старейшин Израилевых, которых ты знаешь, что они старейшины и приставники его, и возьми их к скинии собрания, чтоб они стали там с тобою.

17 And I will come down3381 and talk1696 with5973 thee there:8033 and I will take680 of4480 the spirit7307 which834 is upon5921 thee, and will put7760 it upon5921 them; and they shall bear5375 the burden4853 of the people5971 with854 thee, that thou859 bear5375 it not3808 thyself alone.905

17 Я сойду и буду говорить там с тобою, и возьму от Духа, который на тебе, и возложу на них, чтоб они несли с тобою бремя народа, а не один ты носил.

18 Народу же скажи: очиститесь к завтрашнему дню, и будете есть мясо; поелику вы плакали в слух Господа, и говорили: кто накормит нас мясом; хорошо нам было в Египте: то и даст вам Господь [есть] мясо, и будете есть [мясо].

19 Не один день будете есть, не два дни, не пять дней, не десять дней и не двадцать дней;

20 Но целый месяц [будете есть], пока не пойдет из ноздрей ваших и не сделается для вас отвратительным, за то, что вы презрели Господа, Который среди вас, и плакали пред Ним, говоря: для чего бы нам выходить из Египта?

21 And Moses4872 said,559 The people,5971 among7130 whom834 I595 am, are six8337 hundred3967 thousand505 footmen;7273 and thou859 hast said,559 I will give5414 them flesh,1320 that they may eat398 a whole3117 month.2320

21 И сказал Моисей: шесть сот тысяч пеших в народе сем, среди которого я нахожусь: а Ты говоришь: Я дам им мясо, и будут есть целый месяц.

23 И сказал Господь Моисею: неужели рука Господня коротка? Ныне ты увидишь, сбудется ли с тобою слово Мое, или нет?

24 Моисей вышел, и сказал народу слова Господни, и собрал семьдесят мужей из старейшин народа и поставил их около скинии.

29 Но Моисей сказал ему: неужели ты завидуешь? О, если бы весь народ Господень был пророками, когда бы Господь послал Духа Своего на них!

30 And Moses4872 got622 him into413 the camp,4264 he1931 and the elders2205 of Israel.3478

30 И возвратился Моисей в стан, он и старейшины Израилевы.

31 And there went forth5265 a wind7307 from4480 854 the LORD,3068 and brought1468 quails7958 from4480 the sea,3220 and let them fall5203 by5921 the camp,4264 as it were a day's3117 journey1870 on this side,3541 and as it were a day's3117 journey1870 on the other side,3541 round about5439 the camp,4264 and as it were two cubits520 high upon5921 the face6440 of the earth.776

31 Тогда ветер поднялся от Господа, и принес от моря перепелов, и поверг их к стану, на путь дня по одну сторону, и на путь дня по другую сторону около стана, на два почти локтя от земли.

32 And the people5971 stood up6965 all3605 that1931 day,3117 and all3605 that night,3915 and all3605 the next4283 day,3117 and they gathered622 853 the quails:7958 he that gathered least4591 gathered622 ten6235 homers:2563 and they spread them all abroad7849 7849 for themselves round about5439 the camp.4264

32 И встал народ, и весь тот день, и всю ночь, и весь следующий день собирали перепелов; кто мало собирал, тот собрал десять куч: и расклали их для себя вокруг стана.

33 And while the flesh1320 was yet5750 between996 their teeth,8127 ere2962 it was chewed,3772 the wrath639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 against the people,5971 and the LORD3068 smote5221 the people5971 with a very3966 great7227 plague.4347

33 Но когда мясо еще было в зубах их и не было еще съедено, гнев Господен возгорелся на народ, и поразил Господь народ весьма великою язвою.

34 And he called7121 853 the name8034 of that1931 place4725 Kibroth-hattaavah:6914 because3588 there8033 they buried6912 853 the people5971 that lusted.183

34 И нарекли имя месту сему: Киброт-таава {Гробы прихоти}; поелику там хоронили прихотливый народ.

35 And the people5971 journeyed5265 from Kibroth-hattaavah4480 6914 unto Hazeroth;2698 and abode1961 at Hazeroth.2698

35 От Киброт-таавы отправился народ в Асироф, и остановился в Асирофе.
