3 Ye have not3808 left5800 853 your brethren251 these2088 many7227 days3117 unto5704 this2088 day,3117 but have kept8104 853 the charge4931 of the commandment4687 of the LORD3068 your God.430

4 And now6258 the LORD3068 your God430 hath given rest5117 unto your brethren,251 as834 he promised1696 them: therefore now6258 return6437 ye, and get1980 you unto your tents,168 and unto413 the land776 of your possession,272 which834 Moses4872 the servant5650 of the LORD3068 gave5414 you on the other side5676 Jordan.3383

5 But7535 take diligent3966 heed8104 to do6213 853 the commandment4687 and the law,8451 which834 Moses4872 the servant5650 of the LORD3068 charged6680 you, to love157 853 the LORD3068 your God,430 and to walk1980 in all3605 his ways,1870 and to keep8104 his commandments,4687 and to cleave1692 unto him, and to serve5647 him with all3605 your heart3824 and with all3605 your soul.5315

6 So Joshua3091 blessed1288 them, and sent them away:7971 and they went1980 unto413 their tents.168

7 Now to the one half2677 of the tribe7626 of Manasseh4519 Moses4872 had given5414 possession in Bashan:1316 but unto the other half2677 thereof gave5414 Joshua3091 among5973 their brethren251 on this side5676 Jordan3383 westward.3220 And when3588 Joshua3091 sent them away7971 also1571 unto413 their tents,168 then he blessed1288 them,

8 And he spoke559 unto413 them, saying,559 Return7725 with much7227 riches5233 unto413 your tents,168 and with very3966 much7227 cattle,4735 with silver,3701 and with gold,2091 and with brass,5178 and with iron,1270 and with very3966 much7235 raiment:8008 divide2505 the spoil7998 of your enemies341 with5973 your brethren.251

14 And with5973 him ten6235 princes,5387 of each chief5387 259 5387 259 house1004 a prince1 throughout all3605 the tribes4294 of Israel;3478 and each one376 was a head7218 of the house1004 of their fathers1 among the thousands505 of Israel.3478

15 And they came935 unto413 the children1121 of Reuben,7205 and to413 the children1121 of Gad,1410 and to413 the half2677 tribe7626 of Manasseh,4519 unto413 the land776 of Gilead,1568 and they spoke1696 with854 them, saying,559

16 Thus3541 saith559 the whole3605 congregation5712 of the LORD,3068 What4100 trespass4604 is this2088 that834 ye have committed4603 against the God430 of Israel,3478 to turn away7725 this day3117 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 in that ye have built1129 you an altar,4196 that ye might rebel4775 this day3117 against the LORD?3068

17 Is853 the iniquity5771 of Peor6465 too little4592 for us, from4480 which834 we are not3808 cleansed2891 until5704 this2088 day,3117 although there was1961 a plague5063 in the congregation5712 of the LORD,3068

18 But that ye859 must turn away7725 this day3117 from following4480 310 the LORD?3068 and it will be,1961 seeing ye859 rebel4775 today3117 against the LORD,3068 that tomorrow4279 he will be wroth7107 with413 the whole3605 congregation5712 of Israel.3478

19 Notwithstanding,389 if518 the land776 of your possession272 be unclean,2931 then pass ye over5674 unto413 the land776 of the possession272 of the LORD,3068 wherein834 the LORD's3068 tabernacle4908 dwelleth,7931 8033 and take possession270 among8432 us: but rebel4775 not408 against the LORD,3068 nor408 rebel4775 against us, in building1129 you an altar4196 beside4480 1107 the altar4196 of the LORD3068 our God.430

20 Did not3808 Achan5912 the son1121 of Zerah2226 commit4603 a trespass4604 in the accursed thing,2764 and wrath7110 fell1961 on5921 all3605 the congregation5712 of Israel?3478 and that1931 man376 perished1478 not3808 alone259 in his iniquity.5771

21 Then the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 and the half2677 tribe7626 of Manasseh4519 answered,6030 and said1696 unto853 the heads7218 of the thousands505 of Israel,3478

22 The LORD3068 God410 of gods,430 the LORD3068 God410 of gods,430 he1931 knoweth,3045 and Israel3478 he1931 shall know;3045 if518 it be in rebellion,4777 or if518 in transgression4604 against the LORD,3068 (save3467 us not408 this2088 day,)3117

23 That we have built1129 us an altar4196 to turn7725 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 or if518 to offer5927 thereon5921 burnt offering5930 or meat offering,4503 or if518 to offer6213 peace8002 offerings2077 thereon,5921 let the LORD3068 himself1931 require1245 it;

24 And if518 we have not3808 rather done6213 853 it2063 for fear4480 1674 of this thing,4480 1697 saying,559 In time to come4279 your children1121 might speak559 unto our children,1121 saying,559 What4100 have ye to do with the LORD3068 God430 of Israel?3478

25 For the LORD3068 hath made5414 853 Jordan3383 a border1366 between996 us and you, ye children1121 of Reuben7205 and children1121 of Gad;1410 ye have no369 part2506 in the LORD:3068 so shall your children1121 make853 our children1121 cease7673 from fearing3372 853 the LORD.3068

26 Therefore we said,559 Let us now4994 prepare6213 to build1129 us853 an altar,4196 not3808 for burnt5930 offering, nor3808 for sacrifice: 2077

27 But3588 that it1931 may be a witness5707 between996 us, and you, and our generations1755 after310 us, that we might do5647 853 the service5656 of the LORD3068 before6440 him with our burnt offerings,5930 and with our sacrifices,2077 and with our peace offerings;8002 that your children1121 may not3808 say559 to our children1121 in time to come,4279 Ye have no369 part2506 in the LORD.3068

28 Therefore said559 we, that it shall be,1961 when3588 they should so say559 to413 us or to413 our generations1755 in time to come,4279 that we may say559 again, Behold7200 853 the pattern8403 of the altar4196 of the LORD,3068 which834 our fathers1 made,6213 not3808 for burnt offerings,5930 nor3808 for sacrifices;2077 but3588 it1931 is a witness5707 between996 us and you.

29 God forbid2486 that we4480 should rebel4775 against the LORD,3068 and turn7725 this day3117 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 to build1129 an altar4196 for burnt offerings,5930 for meat offerings,4503 or for sacrifices,2077 beside4480 905 the altar4196 of the LORD3068 our God430 that834 is before6440 his tabernacle.4908

30 And when Phinehas6372 the priest,3548 and the princes5387 of the congregation5712 and heads7218 of the thousands505 of Israel3478 which834 were with854 him, heard8085 853 the words1697 that834 the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 and the children1121 of Manasseh4519 spoke,1696 it pleased3190 5869 them.

31 And Phinehas6372 the son1121 of Eleazar499 the priest3548 said559 unto413 the children1121 of Reuben,7205 and to413 the children1121 of Gad,1410 and to413 the children1121 of Manasseh,4519 This day3117 we perceive3045 that3588 the LORD3068 is among8432 us, because834 ye have not3808 committed4603 this2088 trespass4604 against the LORD:3068 now227 ye have delivered5337 853 the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the hand4480 3027 of the LORD.3068

32 And Phinehas6372 the son1121 of Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and the princes,5387 returned7725 from4480 854 the children1121 of Reuben,7205 and from4480 854 the children1121 of Gad,1410 out of the land4480 776 of Gilead,1568 unto413 the land776 of Canaan,3667 to413 the children1121 of Israel,3478 and brought them word again.7725 853 1697

33 And the thing1697 pleased3190 5869 the children1121 of Israel;3478 and the children1121 of Israel3478 blessed1288 God,430 and did not3808 intend559 to go up5927 against5921 them in battle,6635 to destroy7843 853 the land776 wherein834 the children1121 of Reuben7205 and Gad1410 dwelt.3427

34 And the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 called7121 the altar4196 Ed: for3588 it1931 shall be a witness5707 between996 us that3588 the LORD3068 is God.430

3 Волю ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, вы исполнили в точности, оставшись надолго среди своих братьев и не покинув их вплоть до сего дня.

4 Ныне, когда ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, даровал вашим собратьям обещанный покой, вы можете возвратиться домой, в свои наследственные владения за Иорданом, данные вам Моисеем, слугой ГОСПОДНИМ.

5 Только всегда помните о тех указаниях и наставлениях, какие вам дал Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ. С особым тщанием их исполняйте. Любите ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, живите по воле Его, исполняя всё, что Он заповедал. Будьте верны Богу и служите Ему всем своим сердцем, всею душой своей!»

6 После этого Иисус благословил их и отпустил, и они отправились домой, в свои земли.

7 Половине колена Манассии дал Моисей Башан, а другой половине и остальным израильтянам Иисус назначил земли на западном берегу Иордана. Отпуская их домой, Иисус благословил их.

8 Он сказал им: «Вы возвращаетесь домой с великим богатством: у вас много скота, серебра, золота, меди, железа и всякой одежды. Разделите всё добытое у ваших врагов богатство со своими соплеменниками!»

9 Покинув собратьев своих в Силоме, что в Ханаане, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии направились в страну Гилад: эту землю — наследие свое — получили они во владение по велению ГОСПОДА, данному через Моисея.

10 Придя к Гелилоту, что у Иордана, в земле Ханаан, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии построили жертвенник там, близ Иордана, огромный жертвенник.

11 И тут остальные израильтяне узнали, что потомки Рувима, Гада и половина колена Манассии построили жертвенник на окраине Ханаана, в Гелилоте Иорданском, у границы Израиля.

12 Получив такое известие, вся община израильская собралась в Силоме, чтобы начать с ними войну.

13 Однако прежде израильтяне послали в страну Гилад, к потомкам Рувима, Гада и половине колена Манассии, священника Финееса, сына Элеазара.

14 Его сопровождали десять вождей общины из разных родов — представители всех колен Израиля. Каждый из них был главой рода и представлял один из кланов израильских.

16 «Так говорит вся община ГОСПОДНЯ: „Почему вы изменили Богу Израиля? Зачем отступили от ГОСПОДА? Построив ныне свой жертвенник, вы восстали против ГОСПОДА.

17 Неужели мало нам преступлений, совершенных у Пеора? Мы по сей день еще не очистились от них; грехи эти навели кару на общину ГОСПОДНЮ.

18 Теперь же вы отступаете от ГОСПОДА! Сегодня вы восстали против ГОСПОДА, а завтра гнев Его падет на всю общину израильскую.

19 Если вам кажется, что страна, которой вы владеете, осквернена, не освящена присутствием Бога, то переходите в наши земли, во владения ГОСПОДА, где находится Его Скиния, и получите надел у нас. Только не восставайте против ГОСПОДА и не вовлекайте нас в это восстание, не стройте для себя другого жертвенника, помимо жертвенника ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему.

20 Вы помните, как Ахан, сын Зераха, согрешил, присвоив то, что было предано заклятию, обречено на уничтожение? На всю общину израильскую обрушился тогда гнев Божий. Не только сам Ахан, но и другие погибли из-за его греха“».

21 Потомки Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии так ответили вождям общины Израиля:

22 «ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! Он знает, почему мы сделали это! И пусть узнает Израиль! Если мы восстали против ГОСПОДА, изменили Ему, да не будет нам пощады!

23 Если мы отступили от ГОСПОДА и построили жертвенник, чтобы возлагать на него жертвы, назначенные ко всесожжению, хлебные дары или благодарственные жертвы, пусть Сам ГОСПОДЬ воздаст нам за это!

24 Мы поступили так по иной причине. Есть у нас опасения, что в будущем ваши потомки скажут нашим потомкам: „Какое дело вам до ГОСПОДА, Бога Израилева?

25 ГОСПОДЬ сделал Иордан границей между нами и вами, потомки Рувима и Гада! Не можете вы участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ!“ И тогда по вине ваших потомков наши дети потеряют благоговение перед ГОСПОДОМ.

26 Потому и решили мы построить жертвенник, но не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв.

27 Для нас с вами и для потомков наших будет он свидетельством того, что и мы можем служить ГОСПОДУ, представ перед Ним с нашими всесожжениями и благодарственными жертвами. И в будущем у ваших потомков не будет повода сказать нашим потомкам, что те не могут участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ.

28 Мы рассудили: когда в будущем нам или детям нашим так скажут, то мы ответим: „Взгляните на это подобие жертвенника ГОСПОДНЕГО, которое поставили наши отцы. Не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв оно предназначено, оно — свидетельство для нас с вами“.

29 Да не будет даже в мыслях наших желания восстать против ГОСПОДА и, отступив от Него, построить второй жертвенник для всесожжений, хлебных даров и иных жертв, подобный тому жертвеннику ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, что стоит пред Его Скинией».

30 Выслушав потомков из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассии, священник Финеес и сопровождавшие его вожди общины сочли их ответы убедительными.

31 Потомкам Рувима, Гада и Манассии священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, сказал: «Теперь мы знаем, что ГОСПОДЬ среди нас и что вы не изменили ГОСПОДУ. Ныне вы доказали свою невиновность, и на израильтян не падет воздаяние ГОСПОДНЕ».

32 Покинув страну Гилад и потомков Рувима и Гада, священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, и вожди общины возвратились в Ханаан, к остальным израильтянам, и рассказали им обо всем, что было.

33 Их сообщение обрадовало израильтян. Они воздали Богу хвалу и больше не помышляли о войне против потомков Рувима и Гада и о разорении страны, в которой те жили.

34 Потомки Рувима и Гада дали жертвеннику название «Свидетель». Они сказали: «Он и нам, и вам будет свидетельствовать о том, что ГОСПОДЬ — наш Бог».

16 «Так говорит вся община ГОСПОДНЯ: „Почему вы изменили Богу Израиля? Зачем отступили от ГОСПОДА? Построив ныне свой жертвенник, вы восстали против ГОСПОДА.

17 Неужели мало нам преступлений, совершенных у Пеора? Мы по сей день еще не очистились от них; грехи эти навели кару на общину ГОСПОДНЮ.

18 But that ye859 must turn away7725 this day3117 from following4480 310 the LORD?3068 and it will be,1961 seeing ye859 rebel4775 today3117 against the LORD,3068 that tomorrow4279 he will be wroth7107 with413 the whole3605 congregation5712 of Israel.3478

18 Теперь же вы отступаете от ГОСПОДА! Сегодня вы восстали против ГОСПОДА, а завтра гнев Его падет на всю общину израильскую.

19 Notwithstanding,389 if518 the land776 of your possession272 be unclean,2931 then pass ye over5674 unto413 the land776 of the possession272 of the LORD,3068 wherein834 the LORD's3068 tabernacle4908 dwelleth,7931 8033 and take possession270 among8432 us: but rebel4775 not408 against the LORD,3068 nor408 rebel4775 against us, in building1129 you an altar4196 beside4480 1107 the altar4196 of the LORD3068 our God.430

19 Если вам кажется, что страна, которой вы владеете, осквернена, не освящена присутствием Бога, то переходите в наши земли, во владения ГОСПОДА, где находится Его Скиния, и получите надел у нас. Только не восставайте против ГОСПОДА и не вовлекайте нас в это восстание, не стройте для себя другого жертвенника, помимо жертвенника ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему.

20 Did not3808 Achan5912 the son1121 of Zerah2226 commit4603 a trespass4604 in the accursed thing,2764 and wrath7110 fell1961 on5921 all3605 the congregation5712 of Israel?3478 and that1931 man376 perished1478 not3808 alone259 in his iniquity.5771

20 Вы помните, как Ахан, сын Зераха, согрешил, присвоив то, что было предано заклятию, обречено на уничтожение? На всю общину израильскую обрушился тогда гнев Божий. Не только сам Ахан, но и другие погибли из-за его греха“».

21 Then the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 and the half2677 tribe7626 of Manasseh4519 answered,6030 and said1696 unto853 the heads7218 of the thousands505 of Israel,3478

21 Потомки Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии так ответили вождям общины Израиля:

22 The LORD3068 God410 of gods,430 the LORD3068 God410 of gods,430 he1931 knoweth,3045 and Israel3478 he1931 shall know;3045 if518 it be in rebellion,4777 or if518 in transgression4604 against the LORD,3068 (save3467 us not408 this2088 day,)3117

22 «ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! Он знает, почему мы сделали это! И пусть узнает Израиль! Если мы восстали против ГОСПОДА, изменили Ему, да не будет нам пощады!

23 That we have built1129 us an altar4196 to turn7725 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 or if518 to offer5927 thereon5921 burnt offering5930 or meat offering,4503 or if518 to offer6213 peace8002 offerings2077 thereon,5921 let the LORD3068 himself1931 require1245 it;

23 Если мы отступили от ГОСПОДА и построили жертвенник, чтобы возлагать на него жертвы, назначенные ко всесожжению, хлебные дары или благодарственные жертвы, пусть Сам ГОСПОДЬ воздаст нам за это!

24 Мы поступили так по иной причине. Есть у нас опасения, что в будущем ваши потомки скажут нашим потомкам: „Какое дело вам до ГОСПОДА, Бога Израилева?

25 For the LORD3068 hath made5414 853 Jordan3383 a border1366 between996 us and you, ye children1121 of Reuben7205 and children1121 of Gad;1410 ye have no369 part2506 in the LORD:3068 so shall your children1121 make853 our children1121 cease7673 from fearing3372 853 the LORD.3068

25 ГОСПОДЬ сделал Иордан границей между нами и вами, потомки Рувима и Гада! Не можете вы участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ!“ И тогда по вине ваших потомков наши дети потеряют благоговение перед ГОСПОДОМ.

26 Therefore we said,559 Let us now4994 prepare6213 to build1129 us853 an altar,4196 not3808 for burnt5930 offering, nor3808 for sacrifice: 2077

26 Потому и решили мы построить жертвенник, но не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв.

27 But3588 that it1931 may be a witness5707 between996 us, and you, and our generations1755 after310 us, that we might do5647 853 the service5656 of the LORD3068 before6440 him with our burnt offerings,5930 and with our sacrifices,2077 and with our peace offerings;8002 that your children1121 may not3808 say559 to our children1121 in time to come,4279 Ye have no369 part2506 in the LORD.3068

27 Для нас с вами и для потомков наших будет он свидетельством того, что и мы можем служить ГОСПОДУ, представ перед Ним с нашими всесожжениями и благодарственными жертвами. И в будущем у ваших потомков не будет повода сказать нашим потомкам, что те не могут участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ.

28 Therefore said559 we, that it shall be,1961 when3588 they should so say559 to413 us or to413 our generations1755 in time to come,4279 that we may say559 again, Behold7200 853 the pattern8403 of the altar4196 of the LORD,3068 which834 our fathers1 made,6213 not3808 for burnt offerings,5930 nor3808 for sacrifices;2077 but3588 it1931 is a witness5707 between996 us and you.

28 Мы рассудили: когда в будущем нам или детям нашим так скажут, то мы ответим: „Взгляните на это подобие жертвенника ГОСПОДНЕГО, которое поставили наши отцы. Не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв оно предназначено, оно — свидетельство для нас с вами“.

29 Да не будет даже в мыслях наших желания восстать против ГОСПОДА и, отступив от Него, построить второй жертвенник для всесожжений, хлебных даров и иных жертв, подобный тому жертвеннику ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, что стоит пред Его Скинией».

30 And when Phinehas6372 the priest,3548 and the princes5387 of the congregation5712 and heads7218 of the thousands505 of Israel3478 which834 were with854 him, heard8085 853 the words1697 that834 the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 and the children1121 of Manasseh4519 spoke,1696 it pleased3190 5869 them.

30 Выслушав потомков из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассии, священник Финеес и сопровождавшие его вожди общины сочли их ответы убедительными.

31 And Phinehas6372 the son1121 of Eleazar499 the priest3548 said559 unto413 the children1121 of Reuben,7205 and to413 the children1121 of Gad,1410 and to413 the children1121 of Manasseh,4519 This day3117 we perceive3045 that3588 the LORD3068 is among8432 us, because834 ye have not3808 committed4603 this2088 trespass4604 against the LORD:3068 now227 ye have delivered5337 853 the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the hand4480 3027 of the LORD.3068

31 Потомкам Рувима, Гада и Манассии священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, сказал: «Теперь мы знаем, что ГОСПОДЬ среди нас и что вы не изменили ГОСПОДУ. Ныне вы доказали свою невиновность, и на израильтян не падет воздаяние ГОСПОДНЕ».

32 And Phinehas6372 the son1121 of Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and the princes,5387 returned7725 from4480 854 the children1121 of Reuben,7205 and from4480 854 the children1121 of Gad,1410 out of the land4480 776 of Gilead,1568 unto413 the land776 of Canaan,3667 to413 the children1121 of Israel,3478 and brought them word again.7725 853 1697

32 Покинув страну Гилад и потомков Рувима и Гада, священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, и вожди общины возвратились в Ханаан, к остальным израильтянам, и рассказали им обо всем, что было.

33 And the thing1697 pleased3190 5869 the children1121 of Israel;3478 and the children1121 of Israel3478 blessed1288 God,430 and did not3808 intend559 to go up5927 against5921 them in battle,6635 to destroy7843 853 the land776 wherein834 the children1121 of Reuben7205 and Gad1410 dwelt.3427

33 Их сообщение обрадовало израильтян. Они воздали Богу хвалу и больше не помышляли о войне против потомков Рувима и Гада и о разорении страны, в которой те жили.

34 And the children1121 of Reuben7205 and the children1121 of Gad1410 called7121 the altar4196 Ed: for3588 it1931 shall be a witness5707 between996 us that3588 the LORD3068 is God.430

34 Потомки Рувима и Гада дали жертвеннику название «Свидетель». Они сказали: «Он и нам, и вам будет свидетельствовать о том, что ГОСПОДЬ — наш Бог».
