1 Ask7592 ye of the LORD4480 3068 rain4306 in the time6256 of the latter rain;4456 so the LORD3068 shall make6213 bright clouds,2385 and give5414 them showers1653 of rain,4306 to every one376 grass6212 in the field.7704

1 So bittet7592 nun vom HErrn3068 Spätregen4306, so wird der HErr3068 Gewölke machen6213 und6256 euch Regen4306 genug geben5414 zu allem Gewächs6212 auf dem376 Felde7704.

2 For3588 the idols8655 have spoken1696 vanity,205 and the diviners7080 have seen2372 a lie,8267 and have told1696 false7723 dreams;2472 they comfort5162 in vain:1892 therefore5921 3651 they went their way5265 as3644 a flock,6629 they were troubled,6031 because3588 there was no369 shepherd.7462

2 Denn die Götzen8655 reden1696 eitel1892 Mühe205, und die Wahrsager7080 sehen2372 eitel Lüge8267 und reden1696 vergebliche Träume2472, und ihr Trösten5162 ist nichts7723; darum gehen sie5265 in der Irre wie eine Herde6629 und sind verschmachtet6031, weil kein Hirte7462 da ist.

3 Mine anger639 was kindled2734 against5921 the shepherds,7462 and I punished6485 5921 the goats:6260 for3588 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 hath visited6485 853 his flock5739 853 the house1004 of Judah,3063 and hath made7760 them as his goodly1935 horse5483 in the battle.4421

3 Mein Zorn639 ist7760 ergrimmet über6485 die Hirten7462, und ich will die Böcke6260 heimsuchen; denn der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635 wird6485 seine Herde5739 heimsuchen, nämlich das Haus1004 Juda3063, und wird sie zurichten wie ein geschmückt1935 Roß5483 zum Streit4421.

4 Out of4480 him came forth3318 the corner,6438 out of4480 him the nail,3489 out of4480 him the battle4421 bow,7198 out of4480 him every3605 oppressor5065 together.3162

4 Die Ecken6438, Nägel3489, Streitbogen4421 und Treiber sollen alle7198 von3318 ihnen5065 wegkommen

5 And they shall be1961 as mighty1368 men, which tread down947 their enemies in the mire2916 of the streets2351 in the battle:4421 and they shall fight,3898 because3588 the LORD3068 is with5973 them, and the riders7392 on horses5483 shall be confounded.954
|
5 und3068 sollen dennoch sein wie die Riesen, die den Kot2916 auf der Gasse2351 treten947 im Streit3898, und sollen streiten4421; denn der HErr1368 wird mit ihnen sein, daß die Reiter7392 zuschanden werden3001.

6 And I will strengthen1396 853 the house1004 of Judah,3063 and I will save3467 the house1004 of Joseph,3130 and I will bring them again7725 to place them; for3588 I have mercy upon7355 them: and they shall be1961 as though834 I had not3808 cast them off:2186 for3588 I589 am the LORD3068 their God,430 and will hear6030 them.

6 Und ich will das Haus1004 Juda3063 stärken1396 und das Haus1004 Joseph3130 erretten3467 und will sie wieder einsetzen, denn ich erbarme7355 mich ihrer; und sollen sein, wie sie waren, da834 ich sie nicht verstoßen hatte2186. Denn ich, der HErr3068, ihr3427 GOtt430, will sie erhören6030.

7 And they of Ephraim669 shall be1961 like a mighty1368 man, and their heart3820 shall rejoice8055 as through3644 wine:3196 yea, their children1121 shall see7200 it, and be glad;8055 their heart3820 shall rejoice1523 in the LORD.3068
|
7 Und Ephraim669 soll7200 sein8055 wie ein Riese1368, und ihr Herz3820 soll fröhlich1523 werden wie vom Wein3196; dazu ihre Kinder1121 sollen‘s sehen und sich freuen8055, daß ihr Herz3820 am HErrn3068 fröhlich sei.

8 I will hiss8319 for them, and gather6908 them; for3588 I have redeemed6299 them: and they shall increase7235 as3644 they have increased.7235

8 Ich will zu ihnen blasen und sie8319 sammeln6908, denn ich will sie erlösen6299; und sollen sich mehren7235, wie sie sich zuvor gemehret haben.

9 And I will sow2232 them among the people:5971 and they shall remember2142 me in far countries;4801 and they shall live2421 with854 their children,1121 and turn again.7725
|
9 Und ich will7725 sie unter die Völker5971 säen2232, daß sie mein gedenken2142 in fernen4801 Landen; und sollen mit ihren Kindern1121 leben2421 und wiederkommen.

10 I will bring them again7725 also out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 and gather6908 them out of Assyria;4480 804 and I will bring935 them into413 the land776 of Gilead1568 and Lebanon;3844 and place shall not3808 be found4672 for them.

10 Denn ich will7725 sie wiederbringen aus Ägyptenland4714 und776 will935 sie sammeln6908 aus Assyrien804 und will sie ins Land776 Gilead1568 und Libanon3844 bringen, daß man nicht Raum für sie finden4672 wird.

11 And he shall pass5674 through the sea3220 with affliction,6869 and shall smite5221 the waves1530 in the sea,3220 and all3605 the deeps4688 of the river2975 shall dry up:3001 and the pride1347 of Assyria804 shall be brought down,3381 and the scepter7626 of Egypt4714 shall depart away.5493

11 Und er wird durchs Meer3220 der Angst6869 gehen5674 und die3381 Wellen1530 im Meer3220 schlagen5221, daß alle Tiefen4688 des Wassers2975 vertrocknen werden3001. Da soll denn geniedriget werden5493 die Pracht1347 zu Assyrien804, und das Zepter7626 in Ägypten4714 soll aufhören.

12 And I will strengthen1396 them in the LORD;3068 and they shall walk up and down1980 in his name,8034 saith5002 the LORD.3068

12 Ich will sie stärken1396 in dem HErrn3068, daß sie sollen1980 wandeln in seinem Namen8034, spricht5002 der HErr3068.
