4 If518 thy children1121 have sinned2398 against him, and he have cast them away7971 for3027 their transgression;6588

5 If518 thou859 wouldest seek unto God quickly,7836 413 410 and make thy supplication2603 to413 the Almighty;7706

4 Haben deine Söhne1121 vor ihm gesündiget, so hat2398 er7971 sie3027 verstoßen um ihrer Missetat6588 willen.

5 So du aber dich beizeiten7836 zu GOtt410 tust und dem Allmächtigen7706 flehest,

6 und du so rein2134 und fromm3477 bist, so wird er aufwachen5782 zu dir und wird wieder aufrichten7999 die Wohnung5116 um deiner Gerechtigkeit6664 willen;

7 und was du zuerst7225 wenig4705 gehabt hast, wird7685 hernach319 fast zunehmen.

12 Sonst wenn‘s noch in6440 der Blüte3 ist, ehe es3001 abgehauen wird6998, verdorret es, ehe denn man Heu2682 machet.

13 So geht es734 allen denen, die Gottes410 vergessen7911, und die Hoffnung8615 der Heuchler2611 wird verloren6 sein.

14 Denn seine Zuversicht3689 vergehet, und1004 seine Hoffnung4009 ist eine Spinnwebe5908.
