2 Errette5337 mich, mein GOtt, von meinen Feinden und582 schütze mich vor denen, so sich wider mich setzen!

3 Errette mich von den5315 Übeltätern und2403 hilf mir von den Blutgierigen!

4 Denn siehe7200, HErr, sie lauern auf5782 meine See LE; die Starken sammeln sich3559 wider7125 mich ohne meine Schuld und Missetat5771.

5 Sie6485 laufen ohne meine Schuld und3068 bereiten sich. Erwache6974 und430 begegne mir2603 und430 siehe drein!

6 Du7725, HErr, GOtt Zebaoth, GOtt Israels, wache auf und5892 suche heim alle Heiden; sei der keinem gnädig, die so verwegene Übeltäter sind! Sela.

7 Des Abends laß sie2719 wiederum auch heulen wie8193 die Hunde und5042 in6310 der Stadt umherlaufen.

8 Siehe, sie plaudern miteinander; Schwerter sind in ihren Lippen: Wer sollt es hören?

9 Aber du, HErr, wirst ihrer lachen und430 aller Heiden spotten.

10 Vor ihrer Macht halt ich mich zu dir; denn GOtt430 ist7200 mein Schutz.

11 GOtt136 erzeigt mir5128 reichlich seine Güte; GOtt läßt mich2026 meine Lust sehen an meinen Feinden.

12 Erwürge sie3920 nicht, daß6310 es1697 mein Volk nicht vergesse; zerstreue sie aber8193 mit deiner Macht, HErr, unser Schild, und2403 stoße sie hinunter!

13 Ihre Lehre ist3615 eitel Sünde, und430 verharren in ihrer Hoffart und3290 predigen eitel Fluchen und776 Widersprechen.

14 Vertilge sie ohne alle Gnade! Vertilge sie, daß sie nichts seien und5892 inne werden7725, daß GOtt Herrscher sei in Jakob, in aller Welt. Sela.

17 Ich aber will von deiner Macht singen und des Morgens rühmen deine Güte2617; denn du bist mein Schutz4869 und Zuflucht in meiner Not.

1 DELIVER me from mine enemies, O God; defend me from them that rise up against me.

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

3 For, 1o, they lie in wait for my soul; evil have they multiplied against me; not because I have transgressed or because I have sinned, O LORD.

4 They run and prepare themselves against me without considering whether I have been at fault;

5 Awake to help me, and behold, O thou LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations, and spare not any wicked transgressors.

6 They return at evening; they make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city.

7 Behold, they belch out with their mouths; swords are in their lips; for who, say they, does care?

8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the nations in derision.

9 To thee shall I give praise, O God, for thou art my defense.

10 O God, thy lovingkindness has preceded me; God has let me live to see my enemies avenged.

11 Spare them for a living example, lest my people forget; but scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O LORD my hope.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips. let them even be taken in their pride; for it is cursing and lying that they speak.

13 Consume them in thy wrath, consume them, that they be no more, that they may know that God rules over Jacob and over the ends of the earth.

14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city.

15 Let them be hungry and not be filled, neither let them find a lodging place.

16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning; for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 Unto thee, O God, will I sing; for thou art God of my refuge and the God of my mercy.
