Das Evangelium nach Matthäus

Kapitel 5

1 Da er305 aber1161 das1492 Volk3793 sah, ging er846 auf1519 einen Berg3735 und2532 setzte sich2523, und seine846 Jünger3101 traten zu4334 ihm.

2 Und2532 er1321 tat seinen846 Mund4750 auf455, lehrete sie und sprach3004:

3 Selig3107 sind4434, die da geistlich4151 arm sind; denn3754 das932 Himmelreich3772 ist2076 ihr846.

4 Selig3107 sind, die da Leid tragen3996; denn3754 sie846 sollen getröstet werden3870.

5 Selig3107 sind die Sanftmütigen4239; denn3754 sie846 werden das Erdreich1093 besitzen2816.

6 Selig3107 sind, die3588 da hungert3983 und2532 dürstet1372 nach der Gerechtigkeit1343; denn3754 sie846 sollen satt werden5526.

7 Selig3107 sind die Barmherzigen1655; denn3754 sie846 werden Barmherzigkeit1653 erlangen.

8 Selig3107 sind, die reines2513 Herzens2588 sind; denn3754 sie846 werden GOtt2316 schauen3700.

9 Selig3107 sind die Friedfertigen1518; denn3754 sie846 werden Gottes2316 Kinder heißen2564.

10 Selig3107 sind, die um1752 Gerechtigkeit1343 willen verfolgt werden1377; denn3754 das932 Himmelreich3772 ist2076 ihr846.

11 Selig3107 seid ihr2075, wenn3752 euch5209 die Menschen um meinetwillen1700 schmähen3679 und2532 verfolgen1377 und2532 reden2036 allerlei3956 Übles wider2596 euch5216, so sie daran lügen5574.

12 Seid fröhlich und2532 getrost21, es wird euch5216 im1722 Himmel3772 wohl4183 belohnt3408 werden1377! Denn3754 also3779 haben sie5463 verfolget die3588 Propheten4396, die vor4253 euch5216 gewesen sind.

13 Ihr5210 seid2075 das Salz217 der5259 Erde1093. Wo1437 nun das Salz217 dumm wird3471, womit soll man salzen233? Es ist2532 zu5101 nichts3762 hinfort2089 nütze2480, denn1508 daß1519 man es hinausschütte1854 und1161 lasse es die Leute444 zertreten2662.

14 Ihr5210 seid2075 das Licht5457 der Welt2889. Es mag die Stadt4172, die auf1883 einem Berge3735 liegt2749, nicht1410 verborgen sein2928.

15 Man zündet auch2532 nicht3761 ein Licht3088 an2545 und2532 setzt5087 es846 unter5259 einen Scheffel3426, sondern235 auf1722 einen Leuchter3087, so leuchtet2989 es denen allen3956, die im1909 Hause3614 sind.

16 Also3779 lasset euer5216 Licht5457 leuchten2989 vor1715 den444 Leuten, daß3704 sie eure5216 guten2570 Werke2041 sehen1492 und2532 euren5216 Vater3962 im1722 Himmel3588 preisen1392.

17 Ihr sollt nicht3361 wähnen3543, daß3754 ich kommen2064 bin2064, das Gesetz3551 oder2228 die Propheten4396 aufzulösen2647. Ich bin nicht3756 kommen2064 aufzulösen2647, sondern235 zu erfüllen4137.

18 Denn1063 ich302 sage3004 euch5213: Wahrlich281, bis daß Himmel3772 und2532 Erde1093 vergehe, wird nicht3364 vergehen3928 der1520 kleinste2503 Buchstabe noch2228 ein3391 Tüttel2762 vom575 Gesetz3551, bis daß es alles3956 geschehe1096.

19 Wer1437 nun3767 eins von diesen5130 kleinsten1646 Geboten1785 auflöset und2532 lehret1321 die Leute444 also3779, der3778 wird der Kleinste1646 heißen2564 im1722 Himmelreich932; wer302 es aber1161 tut4160 und2532 lehret1321, der wird groß3173 heißen2564 im Himmelreich3772.

20 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch5213: Es sei denn3754 eure5216 Gerechtigkeit1343 besser4119 denn3362 der Schriftgelehrten1122 und2532 Pharisäer5330, so werdet4052 ihr nicht3364 in1519 das932 Himmelreich3772 kommen1525.

21 Ihr habt5407 gehöret, daß3754 zu den Alten744 gesagt ist4483: Du191 sollst5407 nicht3756 töten5407; wer302 aber1161 tötet, der soll des Gerichts2920 schuldig1777 sein2071.

22 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Wer3956 mit seinem Bruder80 zürnet3710, der ist2071 des Gerichts2920 schuldig1777; wer302 aber3754 zu1519 seinem Bruder80 sagt2036: Racha4469! der ist2071 des Rats4892 schuldig1777; wer302 aber1161 sagt2036: Du Narr3474! der ist2071 des höllischen1067 Feuers4442 schuldig1777.

23 Darum wenn1437 du3767 deine4675 Gabe1435 auf1909 dem Altar2379 opferst4374 und wirst allda2546 eindenken, daß3754 dein4675 Bruder80 etwas5100 wider2596 dich4675 habe2192,

24 so laß863 allda1563 vor1715 dem Altar2379 deine4675 Gabe1435 und2532 gehe5217 zuvor hin und4412 versöhne1259 dich mit deinem Bruder80 und2532 alsdann5119 komm2064 und opfere4374 deine Gabe1435.

25 Sei2468 willfertig deinem4675 Widersacher476 bald5035, dieweil du noch3755 bei3326 ihm846 auf1519 dem Wege3598 bist1488, auf daß dich4571 der Widersacher476 nicht dermaleinst3379 überantworte3860 dem Richter2923, und2532 der Richter2923 überantworte3860 dich4571 dem Diener5257, und2532 werdest in1722 den Kerker5438 geworfen906.

26 Ich302 sage3004 dir4671: Wahrlich281, du wirst nicht3364 von1564 dannen herauskommen1831, bis du auch den letzten2078 Heller2835 bezahlest591.

27 Ihr habt gehöret, daß3754 zu den Alten744 gesagt ist4483: Du191 sollst3431 nicht3756 ehebrechen3431.

28 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Wer3956 ein Weib1135 ansiehet, ihrer846 zu991 begehren1937, der hat schon2235 mit4314 ihr846 die3754 Ehe gebrochen3431 in1722 seinem Herzen2588.

29 Ärgert4624 dich4571 aber1161 dein4675 rechtes1188 Auge3788; so1487 reiß1807 es846 aus1807 und2532 wirf‘s906 von575 dir4675. Es ist4851 dir4671 besser, daß2443 eins1520 deiner4675 Glieder3196 verderbe622, und1063 nicht2532 der4675 ganze3650 Leib4983 in1519 die Hölle1067 geworfen906 werde.

30 Ärgert4624 dich4571 deine4675 rechte1188 Hand5495, so1487 haue1581 sie846 ab, und2532 wirf906 sie von575 dir4675. Es ist4851 dir4675 besser, daß2443 eins1520 deiner4675 Glieder3196 verderbe622, und2532 nicht2532 der ganze3650 Leib4983 in1519 die Hölle1067 geworfen906 werde.

31 Es3754 ist4483 auch1161 gesagt: Wer302 sich848 von seinem Weibe1135 scheidet630, der soll ihr846 geben1325 einen Scheidebrief647.

32 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Wer302 sich848 von seinem Weibe1135 scheidet630 (es sei denn3924 um3056 Ehebruch4202), der macht4160, daß3754 sie846 die Ehe3429 bricht; und2532 wer1437 eine Abgeschiedene freiet, der bricht die Ehe3429.

33 Ihr habt weiter3825 gehört191, daß3754 zu den Alten744 gesagt ist4483: Du sollst keinen3756 falschen1964 Eid3727 tun und1161 sollst GOtt2962 deinen4675 Eid halten591.

34 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213, daß3754 ihr allerdinge nicht3361 schwören3660 sollt, weder3383 bei1722 dem Himmel3772, denn er ist2076 Gottes2316 Stuhl2362;

35 noch3383 bei1722 der Erde1093, denn3754 sie846 ist2076 seiner Füße Schemel5286; noch3383 bei1519 Jerusalem2414, denn3754 sie ist2076 eines großen3173 Königs935 Stadt4172.

36 Auch3383 sollst du nicht1410 bei deinem4675 Haupt2776 schwören3660; denn3754 du vermagst nicht3756 ein3391 einiges Haar2359 weiß3022 oder2228 schwarz3189 zu1722 machen4160.

37 Eure5216 Rede3056 aber1161 sei2077: Ja3483, ja3483; nein3756, nein3756; was darüber4053 ist2076, das5130 ist vom1537 Übel4190.

38 Ihr habt gehört191, daß3754 da2532 gesagt ist4483: Auge3788 um473 Auge3788, Zahn3599 um473 Zahn3599.

39 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213, daß ihr846 nicht3361 widerstreben436 sollt dem Übel4190, sondern235 so dir4571 jemand3748 einen Streich4474 gibt auf1909 deinen4675 rechten1188 Backen4600, dem biete4762 den andern243 auch2532 dar.

40 Und2532 so jemand mit dir4671 rechten2919 will2309 und2532 deinen4675 Rock5509 nehmen2983, dem846 laß863 auch2532 den Mantel2440.

41 Und2532 so dich4571 jemand3748 nötiget eine1520 Meile3400, so gehe5217 mit3326 ihm846 zwo.

42 Gib1325 dem, der dich4571 bittet154, und2532 wende654 dich nicht3361 von575 dem, der dir4675 abborgen1155 will2309.

43 Ihr habt gehört191, daß3754 gesagt ist4483: Du sollst deinen4675 Nächsten4139 lieben25 und2532 deinen4675 Feind2190 hassen3404.

44 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Liebet25 eure Feinde2190, segnet2127, die3588 euch5216 fluchen2672, tut4160 wohl2573 denen, die euch5209 hassen3404, bittet4336 für5228 die, so2532 euch5209 beleidigen1908 und2532 verfolgen1377,

45 auf393 daß3704 ihr Kinder seid1096 eures5216 Vaters3962 im1722 Himmel3772 Denn3754 er läßt seine Sonne2246 aufgehen393 über1909 die3588 Bösen4190 und2532 über1909 die Guten18 und2532 lässet regnen1026 über Gerechte1342 und2532 Ungerechte94.

46 Denn1063 so1437 ihr846 liebet25, die5101 euch5209 lieben25, was3588 werdet ihr für Lohn3408 haben2192? Tun4160 nicht3780 dasselbe auch2532 die Zöllner5057?

47 Und2532 so1437 ihr euch5216 nur3440 zu euren Brüdern80 freundlich tut782, was5101 tut4160 ihr Sonderliches4053? Tun4160 nicht3780 die Zöllner5057 auch2532 also3779?

48 Darum3767 sollt ihr5210 vollkommen5046 sein2071, gleichwie5618 euer5216 Vater3962 im1722 Himmel3588 vollkommen5046 ist2076.

Matthew

Chapter 5

1 WHEN Jesus saw the crowds, he went up to the mountain; and as he sat down, his disciples drew near to him.

2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, and he said,

3 Blessed are the poor in pride, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be well satisfied.

7 Blessed are the merciful, for to them shall be mercy.

8 Blessed are those who are pure in their hearts, for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are you, when they reproach you and persecute you, and speak against you every kind of bad word, falsely, for my sake,

12 Then be glad and rejoice, for your reward is increased in heaven; for in this very manner they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

13 You are indeed the salt of the earth; but if the salt should lose its savor, with what could it be salted? It would not be worth anything, but to be thrown outside and to be trodden down by men.

14 You are indeed the light of the world; a city that is built upon a mountain cannot be hidden.

15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp holder, so it gives light to all who are in the house.

16 Let your light thus shine before men, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

17 Do not expect that I have come to weaken the law or the prophets; I have not come to weaken, but to fulfil.

18 For truly I tell you, Until heaven and earth pass away, not even one yoth * or a dash shall pass away from the law until all of it is fulfilled.

19 Whoever therefore tries to weaken even one of these smallest commandments, and teaches men so, he shall be regarded as small in the kingdom of heaven; but anyone who observes and teaches them, he shall be regarded as great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

21 You have heard that it was said to those who were before you, You shall not kill, and whoever kills is guilty before the court.

22 But I say to you, that whoever becomes angry with his brother for no reason, is guilty before the court: and whoever should say to his brother, Raca (which means, I spit on you) is guilty before the congregation; and whoever says to his brother, you are a nurse maid, is condemned to hell fire.

23 If it should happen therefore that while you are presenting your offering upon the altar, and right there you remember that your brother has any grievance against you,

24 Leave your offering there upon the altar, and first go and make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your offering.

25 Try to get reconciled with your accuser promptly, while you are going on the road with him; for your accuser might surrender you to the judge, and the judge would commit you to the jailer, and you will be cast into prison.

26 Truly I say to you, that you would never come out thence until you had paid the last cent.

27 You have heard that it is said, You shall not commit adultery.

28 But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman with the desire to covet her, has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

29 If your right eye should cause you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of your members, and not all your body fall into hell.

30 And if your right hand should cause you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of your members, and not all your body fall into hell.

31 It has been said that whoever divorces his wife, must give her the divorce papers.

32 But I say to you, that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is separated but not divorced, commits adultery.

33 Again you have heard it was said to them who were before you, that you shall not lie in your oaths, but entrust your oaths to the Lord.

34 But I say to you, never swear; neither by heaven, because it is God's throne;

35 Nor by the earth, for it is a stool under his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of a great king.

36 Neither shall you swear by your own head, because you cannot create in it a single black or white hair.

37 But let your words be yes, yes, and no, no; for anything which adds to these is a deception.

38 You have heard that it is said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

39 But I say to you, that you should not resist evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40 And if anyone wishes to sue you at the court and take away your shirt, let him have your robe also.

41 Whoever compels you to carry a burden for a mile, go with him two.

42 Whoever asks from you, give him; and whoever wishes to borrow from you, do not refuse him.

43 You have heard that it is said, Be kind to your friend, and hate your enemy.

44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, and bless anyone who curses you, and do good to anyone who hates you, and pray for them who carry you away by force and persecute you,

45 So that you may become sons of your Father who is in heaven, who causes his sun to shine upon the good and upon the bad, and who pours down his rain upon the just and upon the unjust.

46 For if you love only those who love you, what reward will you have? Do not even the publicans do the same thing?

47 And if you salute only your brothers, what is it more that you do? Do not even the publicans do the same thing?

48 Therefore, you become perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

23 Darum wenn1437 du3767 deine4675 Gabe1435 auf1909 dem Altar2379 opferst4374 und wirst allda2546 eindenken, daß3754 dein4675 Bruder80 etwas5100 wider2596 dich4675 habe2192,

23 If it should happen therefore that while you are presenting your offering upon the altar, and right there you remember that your brother has any grievance against you,

24 so laß863 allda1563 vor1715 dem Altar2379 deine4675 Gabe1435 und2532 gehe5217 zuvor hin und4412 versöhne1259 dich mit deinem Bruder80 und2532 alsdann5119 komm2064 und opfere4374 deine Gabe1435.

24 Leave your offering there upon the altar, and first go and make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your offering.

25 Sei2468 willfertig deinem4675 Widersacher476 bald5035, dieweil du noch3755 bei3326 ihm846 auf1519 dem Wege3598 bist1488, auf daß dich4571 der Widersacher476 nicht dermaleinst3379 überantworte3860 dem Richter2923, und2532 der Richter2923 überantworte3860 dich4571 dem Diener5257, und2532 werdest in1722 den Kerker5438 geworfen906.

25 Try to get reconciled with your accuser promptly, while you are going on the road with him; for your accuser might surrender you to the judge, and the judge would commit you to the jailer, and you will be cast into prison.

26 Ich302 sage3004 dir4671: Wahrlich281, du wirst nicht3364 von1564 dannen herauskommen1831, bis du auch den letzten2078 Heller2835 bezahlest591.

26 Truly I say to you, that you would never come out thence until you had paid the last cent.

27 Ihr habt gehöret, daß3754 zu den Alten744 gesagt ist4483: Du191 sollst3431 nicht3756 ehebrechen3431.

27 You have heard that it is said, You shall not commit adultery.

28 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Wer3956 ein Weib1135 ansiehet, ihrer846 zu991 begehren1937, der hat schon2235 mit4314 ihr846 die3754 Ehe gebrochen3431 in1722 seinem Herzen2588.

28 But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman with the desire to covet her, has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

29 Ärgert4624 dich4571 aber1161 dein4675 rechtes1188 Auge3788; so1487 reiß1807 es846 aus1807 und2532 wirf‘s906 von575 dir4675. Es ist4851 dir4671 besser, daß2443 eins1520 deiner4675 Glieder3196 verderbe622, und1063 nicht2532 der4675 ganze3650 Leib4983 in1519 die Hölle1067 geworfen906 werde.

29 If your right eye should cause you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of your members, and not all your body fall into hell.

30 Ärgert4624 dich4571 deine4675 rechte1188 Hand5495, so1487 haue1581 sie846 ab, und2532 wirf906 sie von575 dir4675. Es ist4851 dir4675 besser, daß2443 eins1520 deiner4675 Glieder3196 verderbe622, und2532 nicht2532 der ganze3650 Leib4983 in1519 die Hölle1067 geworfen906 werde.

30 And if your right hand should cause you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of your members, and not all your body fall into hell.

31 Es3754 ist4483 auch1161 gesagt: Wer302 sich848 von seinem Weibe1135 scheidet630, der soll ihr846 geben1325 einen Scheidebrief647.

31 It has been said that whoever divorces his wife, must give her the divorce papers.

32 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Wer302 sich848 von seinem Weibe1135 scheidet630 (es sei denn3924 um3056 Ehebruch4202), der macht4160, daß3754 sie846 die Ehe3429 bricht; und2532 wer1437 eine Abgeschiedene freiet, der bricht die Ehe3429.

32 But I say to you, that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is separated but not divorced, commits adultery.

33 Ihr habt weiter3825 gehört191, daß3754 zu den Alten744 gesagt ist4483: Du sollst keinen3756 falschen1964 Eid3727 tun und1161 sollst GOtt2962 deinen4675 Eid halten591.

33 Again you have heard it was said to them who were before you, that you shall not lie in your oaths, but entrust your oaths to the Lord.

34 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213, daß3754 ihr allerdinge nicht3361 schwören3660 sollt, weder3383 bei1722 dem Himmel3772, denn er ist2076 Gottes2316 Stuhl2362;

34 But I say to you, never swear; neither by heaven, because it is God's throne;

35 noch3383 bei1722 der Erde1093, denn3754 sie846 ist2076 seiner Füße Schemel5286; noch3383 bei1519 Jerusalem2414, denn3754 sie ist2076 eines großen3173 Königs935 Stadt4172.

35 Nor by the earth, for it is a stool under his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of a great king.

36 Auch3383 sollst du nicht1410 bei deinem4675 Haupt2776 schwören3660; denn3754 du vermagst nicht3756 ein3391 einiges Haar2359 weiß3022 oder2228 schwarz3189 zu1722 machen4160.

36 Neither shall you swear by your own head, because you cannot create in it a single black or white hair.

37 Eure5216 Rede3056 aber1161 sei2077: Ja3483, ja3483; nein3756, nein3756; was darüber4053 ist2076, das5130 ist vom1537 Übel4190.

37 But let your words be yes, yes, and no, no; for anything which adds to these is a deception.

38 Ihr habt gehört191, daß3754 da2532 gesagt ist4483: Auge3788 um473 Auge3788, Zahn3599 um473 Zahn3599.

38 You have heard that it is said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

39 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213, daß ihr846 nicht3361 widerstreben436 sollt dem Übel4190, sondern235 so dir4571 jemand3748 einen Streich4474 gibt auf1909 deinen4675 rechten1188 Backen4600, dem biete4762 den andern243 auch2532 dar.

39 But I say to you, that you should not resist evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40 Und2532 so jemand mit dir4671 rechten2919 will2309 und2532 deinen4675 Rock5509 nehmen2983, dem846 laß863 auch2532 den Mantel2440.

40 And if anyone wishes to sue you at the court and take away your shirt, let him have your robe also.

41 Und2532 so dich4571 jemand3748 nötiget eine1520 Meile3400, so gehe5217 mit3326 ihm846 zwo.

41 Whoever compels you to carry a burden for a mile, go with him two.

42 Gib1325 dem, der dich4571 bittet154, und2532 wende654 dich nicht3361 von575 dem, der dir4675 abborgen1155 will2309.

42 Whoever asks from you, give him; and whoever wishes to borrow from you, do not refuse him.

43 Ihr habt gehört191, daß3754 gesagt ist4483: Du sollst deinen4675 Nächsten4139 lieben25 und2532 deinen4675 Feind2190 hassen3404.

43 You have heard that it is said, Be kind to your friend, and hate your enemy.

44 Ich1473 aber1161 sage3004 euch5213: Liebet25 eure Feinde2190, segnet2127, die3588 euch5216 fluchen2672, tut4160 wohl2573 denen, die euch5209 hassen3404, bittet4336 für5228 die, so2532 euch5209 beleidigen1908 und2532 verfolgen1377,

44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, and bless anyone who curses you, and do good to anyone who hates you, and pray for them who carry you away by force and persecute you,

45 auf393 daß3704 ihr Kinder seid1096 eures5216 Vaters3962 im1722 Himmel3772 Denn3754 er läßt seine Sonne2246 aufgehen393 über1909 die3588 Bösen4190 und2532 über1909 die Guten18 und2532 lässet regnen1026 über Gerechte1342 und2532 Ungerechte94.

45 So that you may become sons of your Father who is in heaven, who causes his sun to shine upon the good and upon the bad, and who pours down his rain upon the just and upon the unjust.

46 Denn1063 so1437 ihr846 liebet25, die5101 euch5209 lieben25, was3588 werdet ihr für Lohn3408 haben2192? Tun4160 nicht3780 dasselbe auch2532 die Zöllner5057?

46 For if you love only those who love you, what reward will you have? Do not even the publicans do the same thing?

47 Und2532 so1437 ihr euch5216 nur3440 zu euren Brüdern80 freundlich tut782, was5101 tut4160 ihr Sonderliches4053? Tun4160 nicht3780 die Zöllner5057 auch2532 also3779?

47 And if you salute only your brothers, what is it more that you do? Do not even the publicans do the same thing?

48 Darum3767 sollt ihr5210 vollkommen5046 sein2071, gleichwie5618 euer5216 Vater3962 im1722 Himmel3588 vollkommen5046 ist2076.

48 Therefore, you become perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
