2 I589 counsel thee to keep8104 the king's4428 commandment,6310 and that in regard5921 1700 of the oath7621 of God.430

3 Eile926 nicht7451, zu6213 gehen3212 von seinem Angesicht, und5975 bleibe nicht in6440 böser Sache1697; denn2654 er tut, was ihn gelüstet.

3 Be not408 hasty926 to go1980 out of his sight:4480 6440 stand5975 not408 in an evil7451 thing;1697 for3588 he doeth6213 whatsoever3605 834 pleaseth2654 him.

4 In des Königs4428 Wort1697 ist Gewalt7983, und wer mag zu6213 ihm sagen559: Was machst du?

4 Where834 the word1697 of a king4428 is, there is power:7983 and who4310 may say559 unto him, What4100 doest6213 thou?

5 Wer das1697 Gebot4687 hält8104, der wird3820 nichts Böses7451 erfahren3045; aber eines Weisen Herz weiß3045 Zeit6256 und Weise2450.

5 Whoso keepeth8104 the commandment4687 shall feel3045 no3808 evil7451 thing:1697 and a wise man's2450 heart3820 discerneth3045 both time6256 and judgment.4941

6 Denn ein jeglich Vornehmen2656 hat seine Zeit6256 und Weise4941; denn des Unglücks7451 des Menschen120 ist3426 viel7227 bei ihm.

6 Because3588 to every3605 purpose2656 there is3426 time6256 and judgment,4941 therefore3588 the misery7451 of man120 is great7227 upon5921 him.

7 Denn er weiß3045 nicht, was gewesen ist; und wer will ihm sagen5046, was werden soll?

7 For3588 he knoweth3045 not369 that4100 which shall be:7945 1961 for3588 who4310 can tell5046 him when834 it shall be?1961

8 Ein Mensch120 hat1167 nicht Macht7989 über den Geist7307, dem Geist7307 zu wehren3607; und hat nicht Macht7983 zur Zeit3117 des Sterbens und wird nicht losgelassen4917 im Streit4421; und das gottlose7562 Wesen errettet4422 den GOttlosen nicht.

8 There is no369 man120 that hath power7989 over the spirit7307 to retain3607 853 the spirit;7307 neither369 hath he power7983 in the day3117 of death:4194 and there is no369 discharge4917 in that war;4421 neither3808 shall wickedness7562 deliver4422 853 those that are given1167 to it.

9 Das4639 habe6213 ich alles gesehen7200 und6256 gab5414 mein Herz3820 auf alle Werke, die unter der Sonne8121 geschehen. Ein Mensch120 herrschet zuzeiten über den andern zu seinem Unglück7451.

10 Und da sah7200 ich GOttlose7563, die begraben6912 waren935, die gegangen1980 waren und gewandelt in heiliger6918 Stätte4725, und waren vergessen7911 in der Stadt5892, daß sie so3651 getan6213 hatten. Das ist auch eitel1892.

10 And so3651 I saw7200 the wicked7563 buried,6912 who had come935 and gone1980 from the place4480 4725 of the holy,6918 and they were forgotten7911 in the city5892 where834 they had so3651 done:6213 this2088 is also1571 vanity.1892

11 Weil nicht bald4120 geschieht6213 ein Urteil6599 über die1121 bösen7451 Werke, dadurch wird3820 das4639 Herz der Menschen120 voll4390, Böses7451 zutun.

11 Because834 sentence against6599 an evil7451 work4639 is not369 executed6213 speedily,4120 therefore5921 3651 the heart3820 of the sons1121 of men120 is fully set4390 in them to do6213 evil.7451

12 Ob ein Sünder hundertmal3967 Böses7451 tut2398 und6213 doch lange748 lebt, so weiß3045 ich doch, daß es wohlgehen wird2896 denen, die GOtt430 fürchten3373, die sein3372 Angesicht6440 scheuen.

12 Though834 a sinner2398 do6213 evil7451 a hundred times,3967 and his days be prolonged,748 yet3588 surely1571 I589 know3045 that834 it shall be1961 well2896 with them that fear3373 God,430 which834 fear3372 before4480 6440 him:

13 Denn es wird dem GOttlosen7563 nicht wohlgehen und wie2896 ein Schatten6738 nicht lange748 leben, die sich vor3117 GOtt430 nicht fürchten3373.

13 But it shall not3808 be1961 well2896 with the wicked,7563 neither3808 shall he prolong748 his days,3117 which are as a shadow;6738 because834 he feareth3372 not369 before4480 6440 God.430

14 Es ist3426 eine Eitelkeit1892, die auf Erden776 geschieht. Es sind Gerechte6662, denen gehet es, als hätten sie5060 Werke4639 der GOttlosen7563, und6213 sind GOttlose7563, denen gehet es, als hätten sie5060 Werke der Gerechten6662. Ich sprach559: Das4639 ist3426 auch1571 eitel1892.

14 There is3426 a vanity1892 which834 is done6213 upon5921 the earth;776 that834 there be3426 just6662 men, unto whom834 413 it happeneth5060 according to the work4639 of the wicked;7563 again, there be3426 wicked7563 men, to413 whom it happeneth7945 5060 according to the work4639 of the righteous:6662 I said559 that this also2088 7945 1571 is vanity.1892

15 Darum lobte ich7623 die Freude8057, daß der Mensch120 nichts Besseres hat unter der Sonne8121 denn essen398 und trinken8354 und fröhlich2896 sein8055; und solches werde ihm3867 von der Arbeit5999 sein Leben2416 lang3117, das ihm GOtt430 gibt5414 unter der Sonne8121.

16 Ich7200 gab5414 mein Herz3820, zu6213 wissen3045 die Weisheit2451 und zu schauen7200 die Mühe6045, die auf Erden776 geschieht, daß auch einer weder Tag3117 noch Nacht3915 den Schlaf8142 siehet mit seinen Augen5869.

17 Und7945 ich5998 sah7200 alle Werke Gottes430. Denn ein Mensch120 kann3201 das4639 Werk nicht finden4672, das4639 unter834 der Sonne8121 geschieht; und je mehr der Mensch120 arbeitet zu6213 suchen1245, je weniger er findet4672. Wenn er gleich spricht559: Ich bin weise2450 und weiß3045 es, so kann3201 er‘s doch nicht finden4672.

17 Then I beheld7200 853 all3605 the work4639 of God,430 that3588 a man120 cannot3808 3201 find out4672 853 the work4639 that834 is done6213 under8478 the sun:8121 because7945 though834 a man120 labor5998 to seek it out,1245 yet he shall not3808 find4672 it; yea1571 further; though518 a wise2450 man think559 to know3045 it, yet shall he not3808 be able3201 to find4672 it.
