2 Höret zu, alle376 Völker; merket auf, alle3162, die in dieser Zeit leben,

3 beide gemein Mann und1900 Herren, beide reich und arm miteinander.

4 Mein Mund soll von Weisheit4912 reden und mein Herz von Verstand sagen.

5 Wir wollen einen3117 guten Spruch hören und ein fein Gedicht auf der Harfe spielen.

6 Warum sollt ich mich fürchten in bösen Tagen, wenn mich die Missetat meiner Übertreter umgibt?

7 Die sich verlassen auf ihr Gut und376 trotzen auf ihren großen Reichtum3724.

8 Kann doch ein Bruder niemand erlösen6306 noch GOtt jemand versöhnen;

9 denn es kostet zu viel, ihre See LE zu erlösen, daß er‘s muß lassen2421 anstehen ewiglich5331,

10 ob er auch gleich3162 lange lebet und2428 die Grube nicht7200 siehet.

11 Denn man7121 wird sehen, daß solche Weisen doch sterben, sowohl als die7130 Toren und1004 Narren umkommen, und müssen ihr Gut andern lassen.

12 Das ist ihr Herz, daß ihre Häuser währen immerdar, ihre Wohnungen bleiben3885 für und4911 für und haben929 große Ehre3366 auf1820 Erden.

13 Dennoch können sie nicht7521 bleiben in6310 solcher Würde, sondern müssen davon wie1870 ein Vieh.

14 Dies ihr Tun ist eitel Torheit; noch loben‘s ihre Nachkommen mit7462 ihrem Munde Sela.

15 Sie5315 liegen in der Hölle7585 wie Schafe, der Tod naget sie3027; aber die Frommen werden6299 gar bald über sie3947 herrschen, und430 ihr Trotz muß vergehen, in der Hölle müssen sie bleiben.

16 Aber GOtt wird6238 meine See LE erlösen aus der Hölle Gewalt; denn er376 hat mich3372 angenommen. Sela.

17 Laß dich‘s3381 nicht3947 irren, ob einer reich wird, ob die Herrlichkeit3519 seines Hauses groß wird.

18 Denn er2416 wird nichts in seinem Sterben mitnehmen, und3190 seine Herrlichkeit wird ihm nicht3034 nachfahren.

19 sondern er1 tröstet sich7200 dieses guten Lebens und935 preiset es, wenn einer nach1755 guten Tagen trachtet.

8 (For the redemption6306 of their soul5315 is precious,3365 and it ceases2308 for ever:5769)

9 That he should still5750 live2421 for ever,5331 and not see7200 corruption.7845

10 For he sees7200 that wise2450 men die,4191 likewise the fool3684 and the brutish1197 person perish,6 and leave5800 their wealth2428 to others.312

11 Their inward7130 thought is, that their houses1004 shall continue for ever,5769 and their dwelling4908 places to all generations;1755 they call7121 their lands127 after their own names.8034

12 Nevertheless man120 being in honor3366 stays3885 not: he is like4911 the beasts929 that perish.1820

14 Like sheep6629 they are laid8371 in the grave;7585 death4194 shall feed7462 on them; and the upright3477 shall have dominion7287 over them in the morning;1242 and their beauty6736 shall consume1086 in the grave7585 from their dwelling.2073
