1 迦哩亞子約哈難、何沙雅子耶散尼、與武士長、庶民、自尊達卑、 |
|
2 告先知耶利米云、我之庶民、昔衆今寡、爾所目覩、請爾代我遺民、祈爾之上帝耶和華、 |
|
3 示我當行途、當爲之事。 |
|
4 先知耶利米曰、應爾所請、我將祈爾之上帝耶和華、凡耶和華所應者、我必告爾、一無所隱。 |
|
5 衆告耶利米曰、凡爾之上帝耶和華命爾告我之事、我必遵行、望耶和華爲證。 |
|
6 今我請爾、諮諏我之上帝耶和華、彼所命者、無論其得我心與否、我必聽從、望得亨通。 |
|
7 十日後、耶和華復諭耶利米。 |
|
8 耶利米召迦哩亞子約哈難與武士長庶民、由尊逮卑、告之曰。 |
|
9 爾曹遣我求以色列族之上帝耶和華、今耶和華曰、 |
|
10 昔我降災、今不復行、如爾仍居於斯土、我必建造爾、栽植爾、不毀爾邦國、不拔爾根株。 |
|
11 耶和華又曰、昔爾懼巴比倫王特甚、今毋庸懼、蓋我祐爾、脫爾於其手。 |
|
12 我矜恤爾、彼亦矜恤爾、令爾安居故土。 |
|
13 惟爾曰、我不居斯土、不聽我上帝耶和華之命、 |
|
14 必往埃及、恒居於彼、不見戰鬬、不聞角音、不遇饑饉、 |
|
15 今我萬有之主耶和華以色列族之上帝、告爾猶大遺民、如爾定志、必往埃及而居、 |
|
16 則爾所懼之鋒刃饑饉、踵爾之後、在埃及遇之、令爾死亡。 |
|
17 凡定志必往埃及、欲居於彼、必遇鋒刃、饑饉、癘疫而亡、我旣降災、必不得免、靡有孑遺。 |
|
18 萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、昔我震怒、降災於耶路撒冷居民、今爾欲居埃及、我必震怒、降災於爾、且爲人咒詛駭異、受人凌侮嗟訝、不得歸於故土。 |
|
19 耶利米曰、爾曹、猶大遺民、耶和華諭爾、勿往埃及、予今日告爾、爾尚其知之。 |
|
20 昔爾請予、代爾祈禱爾之上帝耶和華、言凡我之上帝耶和華諭我、我必聽從、斯言也、非出乎誠心、 |
|
21 我之上帝耶和華遣我諭爾、今日告爾、爾不聽從、 |
|
22 必使爾於欲往居處之地、遇鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘而亡、爾當知之、無庸疑惑。 |
JeremiahChapter 42 |
|
1 THEN all the officers of the forces and Johanan the son of Kareah and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah and all the people from the young to the old came near. |
|
2 And said to Jeremiah, We beseech you, pray for us before the LORD your God, for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes see us; |
|
3 That the LORD our God may show us the way by which we may go and the thing that we may do. |
|
4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, I have heard you; behold. I will pray before the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass that whatever the LORD shall answer you. I will declare it to you; I will hide nothing from you. |
|
5 Then they said to Jeremiah, May the LORD be a true and faithful witness between us if we do not do according to the word with which the LORD your God shall send you to us. |
|
6 Whether it be good or whether it be bad, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we send you; that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. |
|
7 And it came to pass after ten days that the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet. |
|
8 Then he called Johanan the son of Kareah and all the officers of the forces that were with him and all the people from the young to the old, |
|
9 And said to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him: |
|
10 If you will dwell in this land, then I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up; for I will cease from the harm that I have done to you. |
|
11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; be not afraid of him, says the LORD, for I am with you to save you, says the LORD; and to deliver you from his hands. |
|
12 And I will show mercy to you, that he may have mercy upon you and cause you to be settled in your own land. |
|
13 But if you say, We will not dwell in this land, because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God, |
|
14 Saying, Not so; but we will go into the land of Egypt that we may not see war nor hear the sound of the trumpet nor have hunger for bread; and there will we dwell; |
|
15 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah; thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there; |
|
16 Then it shall come to pass that the sword which you fear shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine of which you are afraid shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die. |
|
17 So shall it be with all the men who set their faces to enter into Egypt to live there; they shall die by sword, by famine, and by pestilence; and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. |
|
18 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my fury have been poured out upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured out upon you, when you shall enter into Egypt; and you shall be an execration and an astonishment and a curse and a reproach; and you shall see this place no more. |
|
19 The LORD has said concerning you, O remnant of Judah: Do not go to Egypt; know certainly that I have warned you this very day. |
|
20 For you have deceived yourselves when you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us before the LORD our God, and whatever the LORD our God shall say to you declare to us and we will do it. |
|
21 And this day I have declared to you; but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God; anything for which he has sent me to you, you have not done. |
|
22 Now therefore know certainly that you shall die by sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live. |

4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, I have heard you; behold. I will pray before the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass that whatever the LORD shall answer you. I will declare it to you; I will hide nothing from you. |

5 Then they said to Jeremiah, May the LORD be a true and faithful witness between us if we do not do according to the word with which the LORD your God shall send you to us. |
|
6 今我請爾、諮諏我之上帝耶和華、彼所命者、無論其得我心與否、我必聽從、望得亨通。 |
6 Whether it be good or whether it be bad, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we send you; that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. |
|
7 十日後、耶和華復諭耶利米。 |
7 And it came to pass after ten days that the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet. |
|
8 耶利米召迦哩亞子約哈難與武士長庶民、由尊逮卑、告之曰。 |
8 Then he called Johanan the son of Kareah and all the officers of the forces that were with him and all the people from the young to the old, |
|
9 爾曹遣我求以色列族之上帝耶和華、今耶和華曰、 |
9 And said to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him: |
|
10 昔我降災、今不復行、如爾仍居於斯土、我必建造爾、栽植爾、不毀爾邦國、不拔爾根株。 |
10 If you will dwell in this land, then I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up; for I will cease from the harm that I have done to you. |
|
11 耶和華又曰、昔爾懼巴比倫王特甚、今毋庸懼、蓋我祐爾、脫爾於其手。 |
11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; be not afraid of him, says the LORD, for I am with you to save you, says the LORD; and to deliver you from his hands. |

15 今我萬有之主耶和華以色列族之上帝、告爾猶大遺民、如爾定志、必往埃及而居、 |
15 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah; thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there; |
|
16 則爾所懼之鋒刃饑饉、踵爾之後、在埃及遇之、令爾死亡。 |
16 Then it shall come to pass that the sword which you fear shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine of which you are afraid shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die. |
|
17 凡定志必往埃及、欲居於彼、必遇鋒刃、饑饉、癘疫而亡、我旣降災、必不得免、靡有孑遺。 |
17 So shall it be with all the men who set their faces to enter into Egypt to live there; they shall die by sword, by famine, and by pestilence; and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. |
|
18 萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、昔我震怒、降災於耶路撒冷居民、今爾欲居埃及、我必震怒、降災於爾、且爲人咒詛駭異、受人凌侮嗟訝、不得歸於故土。 |
18 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my fury have been poured out upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured out upon you, when you shall enter into Egypt; and you shall be an execration and an astonishment and a curse and a reproach; and you shall see this place no more. |

19 耶利米曰、爾曹、猶大遺民、耶和華諭爾、勿往埃及、予今日告爾、爾尚其知之。 |
19 The LORD has said concerning you, O remnant of Judah: Do not go to Egypt; know certainly that I have warned you this very day. |
|
20 昔爾請予、代爾祈禱爾之上帝耶和華、言凡我之上帝耶和華諭我、我必聽從、斯言也、非出乎誠心、 |
20 For you have deceived yourselves when you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us before the LORD our God, and whatever the LORD our God shall say to you declare to us and we will do it. |

21 我之上帝耶和華遣我諭爾、今日告爾、爾不聽從、 |
21 And this day I have declared to you; but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God; anything for which he has sent me to you, you have not done. |
|
22 必使爾於欲往居處之地、遇鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘而亡、爾當知之、無庸疑惑。 |
22 Now therefore know certainly that you shall die by sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live. |
