1 尼八子耶羅波暗十八年、亞庇雅踐猶大國位、

2 乃押沙龍女馬迦所出、在耶路撒冷爲王、凡歴三年、

3 濟殳之惡、蹈於愆尤、不效祖大闢所爲、中心誠恪、尊厥上帝耶和華、

4 緣大闢之故、上帝耶和華、使彼在耶路撒冷歴世有光、立其子繼國位、則耶路撒冷之邑、歴久不廢。

5 大闢所行、除赫人烏利亞之事而外、其餘皆行善於耶和華前、不違所命、以畢其生。

3 And he walked1980 in all3605 the sins2403 of his father,1 which834 he had done6213 before6440 him: and his heart3824 was1961 not3808 perfect8003 with5973 the LORD3068 his God,430 as the heart3824 of David1732 his father.1

4 Nevertheless3588 for David's sake4616 1732 did the LORD3068 his God430 give5414 him a lamp5216 in Jerusalem,3389 to set up6965 853 his son1121 after310 him, and to establish5975 853 Jerusalem: 3389

13 And also1571 853 Maachah4601 his mother,517 even her he removed5493 from being queen,4480 1377 because834 she had made6213 an idol4656 in a grove;842 and Asa609 destroyed3772 853 her idol,4656 and burnt8313 it by the brook5158 Kidron.6939

16 And there was1961 war4421 between996 Asa609 and Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel3478 all3605 their days.3117

17 And Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel3478 went up5927 against5921 Judah,3063 and built1129 853 Ramah,7414 that he might not1115 suffer5414 any to go out3318 or come in935 to Asa609 king4428 of Judah.3063

18 Then Asa609 took3947 853 all3605 the silver3701 and the gold2091 that were left3498 in the treasures214 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and the treasures214 of the king's4428 house,1004 and delivered5414 them into the hand3027 of his servants:5650 and king4428 Asa609 sent7971 them to413 Ben-hadad,1130 the son1121 of Tabrimon,2886 the son1121 of Hezion,2383 king4428 of Syria,758 that dwelt3427 at Damascus,1834 saying,559

19 There is a league1285 between996 me and thee, and between996 my father1 and thy father:1 behold,2009 I have sent7971 unto thee a present7810 of silver3701 and gold;2091 come1980 and break6565 853 thy league1285 with854 Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel,3478 that he may depart5927 from4480 5921 me.

20 So Ben-hadad1130 hearkened8085 unto413 king4428 Asa,609 and sent7971 853 the captains8269 of the hosts2428 which834 he had against5921 the cities5892 of Israel,3478 and smote5221 853 Ijon,5859 and Dan,1835 and Abel-beth-maachah,62 and all3605 Cinneroth,3672 with5921 all3605 the land776 of Naphtali.5321

21 And it came to pass,1961 when Baasha1201 heard8085 thereof, that he left off2308 building4480 1129 of853 Ramah,7414 and dwelt3427 in Tirzah.8656

22 Then king4428 Asa609 made a proclamation8085 throughout853 all3605 Judah;3063 none369 was exempted:5355 and they took away5375 853 the stones68 of Ramah,7414 and the timber6086 thereof, wherewith834 Baasha1201 had built;1129 and king4428 Asa609 built1129 with them853 Geba1387 of Benjamin,1144 and Mizpah.4709

27 And Baasha1201 the son1121 of Ahijah,281 of the house1004 of Issachar,3485 conspired7194 against5921 him; and Baasha1201 smote5221 him at Gibbethon,1405 which834 belonged to the Philistines;6430 for Nadab5070 and all3605 Israel3478 laid siege6696 to5921 Gibbethon.1405
