1 EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain.

2 It is in vain for those who rise up early, who sit up late; they eat the bread of sorrows, for so he gives in sleep to his beloved.

3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb is a reward.

4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; he shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with enemies in the gate.

1 Песнь восхождения. [1] Блажен всякий, боящийся Господа и ходящий Его путями.

2 Ты будешь есть плоды труда своих рук; блажен ты и процветание будет у тебя.

3 Жена твоя будет как плодовитая лоза в твоем доме, твои дети будут как ветви олив вокруг твоего стола.

4 Так будет благословлен человек, боящийся Господа.

5 Да благословит тебя Господь с Сиона, да увидишь ты процветание Иерусалима во все дни своей жизни
