Chapter 7

1 THEN there gathered unto him Pharisees and scribes, who had come from Jerusalem.

2 And they saw some of his disciples eating bread with their hands unwashed; and they reproached them.

3 For all the Jews, even the Pharisees, unless their hands are washed carefully would not eat, because they strictly observe the tradition of the elders.

4 Even the things from the market, if they are not washed, they would not eat them. And there are a great many other things, which they have accepted to obey, such as the washing of cups and pots, and copper utensils, and the bedding of dead men.

5 And the scribes and Pharisees asked him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with their hands unwashed?

6 He said to them, The prophet Isaiah well prophesied about you, O hypocrites, as it is written, This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.

7 And they worship me in vain, when they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.

8 For you have ignored the commandment of God, and you observe the tradition of men, such as the washing of cups and pots, and a great many other things like these.

9 He said to them, Well you do injustice to the commandment of God so as to sustain your own tradition.

10 For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother; and he who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.

11 But you say, If a man may say to his father or his mother, What is left over is Corban (my offering);

12 And yet you do not let him do anything for his father or mother.

13 So you dishonor the word of God for the sake of the tradition which you have established; and you do a great many like these.

14 Then Jesus called all the people and said to them, Hear me, all of you, and understand.

15 There is nothing outside of a man, if it should enter into him, which can defile him; but what goes out of him, that defiles the man.

16 Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

17 When Jesus entered into the house because of the people, his disciples asked him concerning that parable.

18 And he said to them, So even you are puzzled. Do you not know that whatever enters into a man from outside cannot defile him?

19 Because it does not enter into his heart, but into his stomach, and then is thrown out through the intestines, thereby purifying the food.

20 It is what goes out of man which defiles the man.

21 For from within, from the heart of men go out evil thoughts, such as fornication, adultery, theft, murder,

22 Extortion, wickedness, deceit, lust, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness;

23 All these evils go out from within, and they defile the man.

24 Jesus moved away from thence, and came to the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and he entered into a house, and did not want any one to know about him. And yet he could not hide himself.

25 For immediately a woman heard about him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit; and she came and fell at his feet.

26 But the woman was a heathen, from Phoenicia in Syria; and she besought him to cast out the demon from her daughter.

27 And Jesus said to her, Let the children be first filled; for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.

28 But she answered and said to him, Yes, my Lord; even the dogs eat the children's crumbs under the trays.

29 Jesus said to her, Go your way; just because of this word, the demon has gone out of your daughter.

30 So she went to her house, and found her daughter lying in bed, and the demon gone out of her.

31 Again Jesus went out from the border of Tyre and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galilee, to the border of the ten cities.

32 And they brought to him a deaf and dumb man; and they asked him to lay his hand on him.

33 So he drew him aside from the people, and put his fingers into his ears, then he spat, and touched his tongue;

34 And he looked up to heaven, and sighed, and he said to him, Ethpatakh, which means, Be opened.

35 And in that very hour his ears were opened, and the knot of his tongue was loosened, and he spoke plainly.

36 And he warned them not to tell this to any man; but the more he warned them, so much the more they published it.

37 And they were greatly astonished, saying, He does everything so well. He makes the deaf hear, and the dumb to speak.

1 Однажды собрались вокруг Него фарисеи и некоторые учители Закона из Иерусалима.

2 Они обратили внимание, что некоторые ученики Иисуса принимали пищу ритуально нечистыми, то есть неомытыми руками.

3 Фарисеи, и вообще иудеи, строго следуя обычаям своих предков, не садятся есть, не помыв установленным образом руки.

4 Они не едят ничего, принесенного с рынка, пока не совершат ритуального омовения. Ими соблюдается также и множество других установлений, как, например, о мытье чаш, кувшинов и медной посуды.

5 Поэтому фарисеи и учители Закона спросили Иисуса: — Почему Твои ученики нарушают обычаи наших предков? Почему они едят нечистыми руками?

6 Иисус ответил им: — Прав был Исаия, когда пророчествовал о вас, лицемерах: «Этот народ чтит Меня губами, но сердца их далеки от Меня.

7 Они поклоняются Мне впустую, и их учение состоит из человеческих предписаний».

8 Оставив Божью заповедь, вы соблюдаете человеческое предание.

9 Вы ловко умеете подменять заповедь Божью вашими собственными традициями.

10 Ведь Моисей сказал: «Почитай отца и мать» и «Кто злословит отца или мать, тот должен быть предан смерти».

11 Вы же говорите, что если человек скажет отцу или матери: «То, чем я мог бы тебе помочь, — Корбан» (то есть дар Богу),

12 то вы уже позволяете ему ничего не делать для своего отца или матери.

13 Вы отменяете Божье слово собственным преданием, которое вы установили, и многое, подобное этому, вы делаете.

14 Иисус снова подозвал к Себе народ и сказал: — Выслушайте Меня все и постарайтесь понять.

15 Ничто из того, что входит в человека извне, не может сделать его нечистым; нечистым человека делает то, что исходит из него.

16 Если у кого есть уши, чтобы слышать, пусть слышит.

17 Когда Иисус оставил толпу и вошел в дом, ученики спросили Его об этой притче.

18 — Так и вы тоже не понимаете? — сказал Он им. — Неужели вы не понимаете, что все, что входит в человека извне, не может осквернить его?

19 Оно входит не в сердце человека, а в его желудок, а потом выходит вон. (Так Он объявил чистой любую пищу.)

20 Но то, что исходит из человека, — продолжал Он, — вот это и оскверняет его.

21 Потому что изнутри, из сердца человека, исходят злые мысли, разврат, воровство, убийство,

22 супружеская неверность, жадность, злоба, коварство, распутство, зависть, клевета, надменность и безрассудство.

23 Все это зло исходит изнутри, и именно оно оскверняет человека.

24 Оттуда Иисус отправился в окрестности Тира. Он остановился в одном доме и не хотел, чтобы кто-либо знал о Его приходе, но Ему все равно не удалось сохранить это в тайне.

25 О приходе Иисуса узнала одна женщина, маленькая дочь которой была одержима нечистым духом. Эта женщина пришла и пала к Его ногам,

26 а она была язычницей, сирофиникиянкой. И она попросила Иисуса, чтобы Он изгнал демона из ее дочери.

27 Иисус сказал ей: — Пусть сначала наедятся дети, ведь нехорошо будет забрать хлеб у детей и бросить собачкам.

28 — Господи, — ответила женщина, — но ведь и собачки едят под столом крошки, которые роняют дети.

29 — За твой ответ, — сказал ей Иисус, — иди, демон вышел из твоей дочери.

30 Она пошла домой и увидела, что ее дочь лежит в постели, а демон из нее вышел.

31 Возвращаясь из окрестностей Тира, Иисус через Сидон вышел к Галилейскому озеру в области Десятиградия.

32 Там к Иисусу привели глухого и косноязычного человека и попросили возложить на него руку.

33 Иисус отвел его в сторону, вложил Свои пальцы ему в уши, затем сплюнул Себе на пальцы и прикоснулся к языку человека.

34 Потом Он поднял глаза к небу, тяжело вздохнул и сказал: — Эффата! Это означает: «Откройся!»

35 К человеку тотчас же вернулся слух, скованный язык стал двигаться, и он начал говорить ясно.

36 Иисус запретил людям рассказывать об этом исцелении. Однако чем больше Он запрещал, тем больше они рассказывали.

37 Их удивлению не было предела. — Все, что Он делает — хорошо, — говорили люди. — У Него и глухие начинают слышать, и немые — говорить!

1 THEN there gathered unto him Pharisees and scribes, who had come from Jerusalem.	1 Однажды собрались вокруг Него фарисеи и некоторые учители Закона из Иерусалима.
2 And they saw some of his disciples eating bread with their hands unwashed; and they reproached them.	2 Они обратили внимание, что некоторые ученики Иисуса принимали пищу ритуально нечистыми, то есть неомытыми руками.
3 For all the Jews, even the Pharisees, unless their hands are washed carefully would not eat, because they strictly observe the tradition of the elders.	3 Фарисеи, и вообще иудеи, строго следуя обычаям своих предков, не садятся есть, не помыв установленным образом руки.
4 Even the things from the market, if they are not washed, they would not eat them. 5 And the scribes and Pharisees asked him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with their hands unwashed?	5 Поэтому фарисеи и учители Закона спросили Иисуса: — Почему Твои ученики нарушают обычаи наших предков? Почему они едят нечистыми руками?
6 He said to them, The prophet Isaiah well prophesied about you, O hypocrites, as it is written, This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.	6 Иисус ответил им: — Прав был Исаия, когда пророчествовал о вас, лицемерах: «Этот народ чтит Меня губами, но сердца их далеки от Меня.
7 And they worship me in vain, when they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.	7 Они поклоняются Мне впустую, и их учение состоит из человеческих предписаний».
8 For you have ignored the commandment of God, and you observe the tradition of men, such as the washing of cups and pots, and a great many other things like these.	8 Оставив Божью заповедь, вы соблюдаете человеческое предание.
9 He said to them, Well you do injustice to the commandment of God so as to sustain your own tradition.	9 Вы ловко умеете подменять заповедь Божью вашими собственными традициями.
10 For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother; and he who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.	10 Ведь Моисей сказал: «Почитай отца и мать» и «Кто злословит отца или мать, тот должен быть предан смерти».
11 But you say, If a man may say to his father or his mother, What is left over is Corban (my offering);	11 Вы же говорите, что если человек скажет отцу или матери: «То, чем я мог бы тебе помочь, — Корбан» (то есть дар Богу),
12 And yet you do not let him do anything for his father or mother.	12 то вы уже позволяете ему ничего не делать для своего отца или матери.
13 So you dishonor the word of God for the sake of the tradition which you have established; and you do a great many like these.	13 Вы отменяете Божье слово собственным преданием, которое вы установили, и многое, подобное этому, вы делаете.
14 Then Jesus called all the people and said to them, Hear me, all of you, and understand.	14 Иисус снова подозвал к Себе народ и сказал: — Выслушайте Меня все и постарайтесь понять.
15 There is nothing outside of a man, if it should enter into him, which can defile him; but what goes out of him, that defiles the man.	15 Ничто из того, что входит в человека извне, не может сделать его нечистым; нечистым человека делает то, что исходит из него.
16 Who has ears to hear, let him hear.	16 Если у кого есть уши, чтобы слышать, пусть слышит.
17 When Jesus entered into the house because of the people, his disciples asked him concerning that parable.	17 Когда Иисус оставил толпу и вошел в дом, ученики спросили Его об этой притче.
18 And he said to them, So even you are puzzled. Do you not know that whatever enters into a man from outside cannot defile him?	18 — Так и вы тоже не понимаете? — сказал Он им. — Неужели вы не понимаете, что все, что входит в человека извне, не может осквернить его?
19 Because it does not enter into his heart, but into his stomach, and then is thrown out through the intestines, thereby purifying the food.	19 Оно входит не в сердце человека, а в его желудок, а потом выходит вон. (Так Он объявил чистой любую пищу.)
20 It is what goes out of man which defiles the man.	20 Но то, что исходит из человека, — продолжал Он, — вот это и оскверняет его.
21 For from within, from the heart of men go out evil thoughts, such as fornication, adultery, theft, murder,	21 Потому что изнутри, из сердца человека, исходят злые мысли, разврат, воровство, убийство,
22 Extortion, wickedness, deceit, lust, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness;	22 супружеская неверность, жадность, злоба, коварство, распутство, зависть, клевета, надменность и безрассудство.
23 All these evils go out from within, and they defile the man.	23 Все это зло исходит изнутри, и именно оно оскверняет человека.
24 Jesus moved away from thence, and came to the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and he entered into a house, and did not want any one to know about him. And yet he could not hide himself.	24 Оттуда Иисус отправился в окрестности Тира. Он остановился в одном доме и не хотел, чтобы кто-либо знал о Его приходе, но Ему все равно не удалось сохранить это в тайне.
25 For immediately a woman heard about him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit; and she came and fell at his feet.	25 О приходе Иисуса узнала одна женщина, маленькая дочь которой была одержима нечистым духом. Эта женщина пришла и пала к Его ногам,
26 But the woman was a heathen, from Phoenicia in Syria; and she besought him to cast out the demon from her daughter.	26 а она была язычницей, сирофиникиянкой. И она попросила Иисуса, чтобы Он изгнал демона из ее дочери.

37 And they were greatly astonished, saying, He does everything so well. He makes the deaf hear, and the dumb to speak.	37 Их удивлению не было предела. — Все, что Он делает — хорошо, — говорили люди. — У Него и глухие начинают слышать, и немые — говорить!
