Luke

Chapter 23

1 THEN the whole company of them rose up, and brought him to Pilate;

2 And began to accuse him, saying, We found this man misleading our people, and forbidding to pay the head-tax to Caesar; and he says concerning himself that he is a King, even the Christ.

3 Pilate asked him and said, Are you the king of the Jews? He said to him, You say that.

4 Then Pilate said to the high priests and the people, I cannot find any fault against this man.

5 But they shouted and said, He has stirred up our people, teaching throughout Judaea, and beginning from Galilee even to this place.

6 When Pilate heard the name Galilee, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

7 And when he knew that he was under the jurisdiction of Herod, he sent him to Herod, because he was in Jerusalem in those days.

8 When Herod saw Jesus he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things concerning him; and he hoped to see some miracle by him.

9 And he asked him many words; but Jesus gave him no answer.

10 But the high priests and the scribes stood, and accused him bitterly.

11 And Herod and his soldiers insulted him, and mocked him, and dressed him in a scarlet robe, and sent him to Pilate.

12 And that day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other; for there was a longstanding enmity between them.

13 Then Pilate called the high priests and the leaders of the people,

14 And he said to them, You brought me this man, as if he were misleading your people; and behold, I have examined him before your own eyes, and I have found no fault in this man concerning all that you accuse him.

15 Not even has Herod; for I sent him to him; and behold, he has done nothing worthy of death.

16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

17 For there was a custom to release to them one at the feast.

18 But all the people cried out saying, Get rid of him, and release to us Bar-Abbas;

19 Who because of sedition and murder which had happened in the city, was cast into prison.

20 Again Pilate spoke to them, desiring to release Jesus.

21 But they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

22 And he said to them the third time, What evil has he done? I have found nothing in him, worthy of death; I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

23 But they persisted with loud voices, and asked to crucify him. And their voice and that of the high priests prevailed.

24 Then Pilate commanded to have their request granted.

25 So he released to them the one who because of sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they asked for; and he delivered Jesus to their will.

26 And while they took him away, they laid hold of Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming from the field, and they placed the end of the cross on him, to carry it with Jesus.

27 And many people followed him, and the women who were mourning and wailing over him.

28 But Jesus turned to them and said, O daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep over me; but weep over yourselves, and over your own children.

29 For behold, the days are coming, in which they will say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never gave birth, and the breasts that never gave suck.

30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

31 For if they do these things with the green wood, what will be done with dry wood?

32 And there were coming with him two others, malefactors, to be put to death.

33 And when they came to a place which is called The Skull, they crucified him there, and the malefactors, one on his right and one on his left.

34 And Jesus said, O Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing. And they divided his garments and cast lots over them.

35 The people stood looking on. And even the leaders of the synagogue mocked him, and said, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ, the chosen one of God.

36 And the soldiers ridiculed him, as they came near him and offered him vinegar,

37 Saying to him, If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.

38 There was also an inscription which was written over him, in Greek and Roman, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

39 Now one of the malefactors who were crucified with him, blasphemed against him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and save us also.

40 But the other rebuked him, and said to him, Do you not fear even God, for you are also in the same judgment?

41 And ours is just, for we are paid as we deserve and as we have done; but he has done nothing wrong.

42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, my Lord, when you come in your kingdom.

43 Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in Paradise. *

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and darkness fell upon the whole earth, until the ninth hour.

45 And the sun was darkened, and the door curtains of the temple were torn in the center.

46 Then Jesus cried with a loud voice and said, O my Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. He said this and passed away.

47 When the centurion saw what had happened, he praised God and said, Truly this was a righteous man.

48 And all the people who were gathered together to see this sight, when they saw what had happened, returned, beating their breasts.

49 And all the acquaintances of Jesus stood afar off, and the women who had come with him from Galilee, and they were beholding these things.

50 There was a man named Joseph the counsellor of Arimathaea, a city of Judaea, a good and righteous man.

51 He did not agree with their wishes and their actions; and he waited for the kingdom of God.

52 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

53 And he took it down and wrapped it in fine linen, and laid it in a hewn tomb, in which no one was ever laid.

54 This was a Friday, and the sabbath was approaching.

55 The women who had come with him from Galilee were near, and they saw the tomb, and how his body was laid.

56 And they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And on the sabbath they rested, as it is commanded.

Kapitel 23

1 Und2532 der846 ganze537 Haufe4128 stund auf450 und führeten ihn846 vor1909 Pilatus4091

2 und1161 fingen an756, ihn zu verklagen2723, und2532 sprachen3004: Diesen finden2147 wir, daß1438 er846 das5126 Volk1484 abwendet1294 und verbietet2967, den Schoß5411 dem Kaiser2541 zu geben1325, und spricht3004, er sei1511 Christus5547, ein König935.

3 Pilatus4091 aber1161 fragte1905 ihn und1161 sprach3004: Bist1488 du4771 der Juden2453 König935? Er846 antwortete611 ihm846 und sprach5346: Du4771 sagest3004 es.

4 Pilatus4091 sprach2036 zu4314 den444 Hohenpriestern749 und1161 zum Volk3793: Ich finde2147 keine3762 Ursache158 an1722 diesem5129 Menschen.

5 Sie aber1161 hielten an2001 und sprachen3004: Er1321 hat das Volk2992 erreget damit, daß3754 er gelehret hat hin und her5602 im2596 ganzen3650 jüdischen2449 Lande, und hat in575 Galiläa1056 angefangen756 bis2193 hieher.

6 Da aber1161 Pilatus4091 Galiläa1056 hörete, fragte1905 er444, ob1487 er aus Galiläa1057 wäre2076,

7 Und2532 als er2076 vernahm1921, daß3754 er unter1537 des Herodes Obrigkeit1849 gehörete, übersandte er ihn zu4314 Herodes, welcher in1722 denselbigen Tagen2250 auch2532 zu1722 Jerusalem2414 war5607.

8 Da aber1161 Herodes JEsum sah1492, ward1096 er2424 sehr3029 froh5463, denn1063 er2258 hätte2309 ihn längst gerne gesehen1492; denn1223 er hatte191 viel2425 von1537 ihm gehöret und2532 hoffete, er würde ein5100 Zeichen4592 von4012 ihm sehen1492.

9 Und1161 er846 fragte1905 ihn mancherlei1722; er antwortete611 ihm aber1161 nichts3762.

10 Die846 Hohenpriester749 aber1161 und2532 Schriftgelehrten1122 stunden und verklagten2723 ihn2476 hart2159.

11 Aber1161 Herodes mit4862 seinem Hofgesinde4753 verachtete1848 und2532 verspottete1702 ihn846, legte4016 ihm846 ein weiß Kleid2066 an und sandte375 ihn wieder zu Pilatus4091.

12 Auf den3739 Tag2250 wurden1096 Pilatus4091 und2532 Herodes Freunde5384 miteinander240; denn1063 zuvor4391 waren5607 sie846 einander4314 feind.

13 Pilatus4091 aber1161 rief die Hohenpriester749 und2532 die Obersten758 und2532 das Volk2992 zusammen4779

14 und2532 sprach2036 zu4314 ihnen: Ihr846 habt diesen Menschen444 zu1722 mir3427 gebracht4374, als5613 der2596 das5126 Volk2992 abwende654. Und siehe2400, ich1473 habe ihn vor1799 euch5216 verhöret und finde2147 an dem5129 Menschen444 der Sachen keine3762, der ihr846 ihn beschuldiget2723.

15 Herodes auch2532 nicht3761; denn1063 ich habe euch5209 zu4314 ihm846 gesandt375, und235 siehe2400, man hat nichts3762 auf ihn gebracht4238, was des846 Todes2288 wert514 sei2076.

16 Darum3767 will ich ihn846 züchtigen3811 und loslassen630.

17 Denn1161 er846 mußte318 ihnen einen1520 nach2596 Gewohnheit des Festes1859 losgeben630.

18 Da schrie349 der ganze Haufe3826 und1161 sprach3004: Hinweg mit142 diesem5126 und1161 gib uns2254 Barabbas912 los630!

19 welcher war2258 um1223 eines5100 Aufruhrs4714, so in1722 der3748 Stadt4172 geschehen1096 war, und2532 um eines Mords willen5408 ins1519 Gefängnis5438 geworfen906.

20 Da3767 rief4377 Pilatus4091 abermal ihnen zu und wollte2309 JEsum2424 loslassen630.

21 Sie846 riefen2019 aber1161 und sprachen3004: Kreuzige4717, kreuzige4717 ihn!

22 Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zum drittenmal5154 zu4314 ihnen: Was5101 hat4160 denn1063 dieser3778 Übels2556 getan4160? Ich finde2147 keine3762 Ursache158 des846 Todes2288 an1722 ihm846; darum3767 will ich ihn züchtigen3811 und loslassen630.

23 Aber1161 sie lagen1945 ihm an mit großem3173 Geschrei5456 und2532 forderten, daß er846 gekreuziget würde154. Und2532 ihr846 und der Hohenpriester749 Geschrei5456 nahm überhand2729.

24 Pilatus4091 aber1161 urteilete, daß ihre846 Bitte155 geschähe1096,

25 und2532 ließ630 den los, der3739 um1223 Aufruhrs4714 und1161 Mords willen5408 war3860 ins1519 Gefängnis5438 geworfen906, um welchen sie846 baten154; aber1161 JEsum2424 übergab er846 ihrem Willen2307.

26 Und2532 als sie1949 ihn520 hinführeten, ergriffen sie846 einen5100, Simon4613 von2956 Kyrene, der kam2064 vom575 Felde68, und legten2007 das Kreuz4716 auf2007 ihn520, daß5613 er846‘s JEsu2424 nachtrüge3693.

27 Es folgete ihm846 aber1161 nach190 ein großer4183 Haufe Volks4128 und2532 Weiber1135, die3739 klageten und2532 beweineten ihn846.

28 JEsus2424 aber1161 wandte sich um4762 zu4314 ihnen und2532 sprach2036: Ihr846 Töchter2364 von Jerusalem2419, weinet2799 nicht3361 über1909 mich1691, sondern4133 weinet2799 über1909 euch1438 selbst und über1909 eure5216 Kinder5043.

29 Denn3754 siehe2400, es wird die3739 Zeit2250 kommen2064, in1722 welcher3739 man sagen2046 wird: Selig3107 sind die3739 Unfruchtbaren4723 und2532 die Leiber2836, die nicht3756 geboren1080 haben2337, und2532 die Brüste3149, die nicht3756 gesäuget haben.

30 Dann5119 werden sie anfangen756 zu sagen3004 zu den Bergen3735: Fallet4098 über1909 uns2248! und2532 zu den Hügeln1015: Decket2572 uns2248!

31 Denn3754 so1487 man das5023 tut4160 am1722 grünen5200 Holz3586, was5101 will am1722 dürren3584 werden1096?

32 Es wurden aber1161 auch2532 hingeführt71 zwei1417 andere2087 Übeltäter2557, daß sie846 mit4862 ihm abgetan würden337.

33 Und2532 als sie846 kamen565 an1909 die3588 Stätte5117 die3739 da3753 heißt2564 Schädelstätte2898, kreuzigten4717 sie1161 ihn daselbst1563 und2532 die Übeltäter2557 mit ihm, einen zur1537 Rechten1188 und3303 einen zur1537 Linken710.

34 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach3004: Vater3962, vergib863 ihnen; denn1063 sie846 wissen nicht3756 was5101 sie tun4160. Und1161 sie teileten seine846 Kleider2440 und warfen906 das1492 Los2819 darum.

35 Und2532 das Volk2992 stund und sah2334 zu. Und die Obersten758 samt4862 ihnen spotteten1592 sein und sprachen3004: Er846 hat andern243 geholfen4982, er helfe4982 sich1438 selber, ist2476 er Christ, der Auserwählte1588 Gottes5547!

36 Es verspotteten1702 ihn auch2532 die Kriegsknechte4757, traten zu4334 ihm846 und1161 brachten4374 ihm846 Essig3690

37 und2532 sprachen3004: Bist1488 du4771 der Juden2453 König935, so1487 hilf4982 dir selber4572.

38 Es war2258 auch2532 oben über1909 ihm846 geschrieben1125 die Überschrift1923 mit griechischen1673 und1161 lateinischen und2532 ebräischen Buchstaben1121: Dies3778 ist2532 der2076 Juden2453 König935.

39 Aber1161 der1520 Übeltäter2557 einer, die da gehenkt waren2910, lästerte987 ihn846 und2532 sprach3004: Bist1488 du4771 Christus5547, so1487 hilf4982 dir selbst4572 und uns2248!

40 Da antwortete611 der846 andere2087, strafte2008 ihn846 und1161 sprach3004: Und3754 du4771 fürchtest5399 dich5399 auch nicht3761 vor GOtt2316, der du doch in1722 gleicher Verdammnis2917 bist1488?

41 Und2532 zwar3303 wir2249 sind billig darinnen; denn1063 wir empfangen, was3739 unsere Taten4238 wert514 sind; dieser3778 aber1161 hat618 nichts3762 Ungeschicktes824 gehandelt4238.

42 Und2532 sprach3004 zu JEsu2424: HErr2962, gedenke3415 an mich3450 wenn3752 du in1722 dein4675 Reich932 kommst2064!

43 Und2532 JEsus2424 sprach2036 zu1722 ihm846: Wahrlich281, ich sage3004 dir4671, heute4594 wirst du mit3326 mir1700 im Paradies3857 sein2071.

44 Und1161 es war2258 um5616 die sechste1623 Stunde5610. Und es ward1096 eine Finsternis4655 über das ganze3650 Land1093 bis2193 an1909 die neunte1766 Stunde5610.

45 Und2532 die Sonne2246 verlor ihren Schein4654, und2532 der Vorhang2665 des Tempels3485 zerriß4977 mitten3319 entzwei.

46 Und2532 JEsus2424 rief5455 laut3173 und2532 sprach2036: Vater3962, ich befehle3908 meinen3450 Geist4151 in1519 deine4675 Hände5495! Und als er das5023 gesagt2036, verschied1606 er.

47 Da aber1161 der Hauptmann1543 sah1492, was da geschah; preisete er3778 GOtt2316 und sprach3004: Fürwahr3689, dieser ist1392 ein frommer1342 Mensch444 gewesen1096!

48 Und2532 alles Volk3793, das3956 dabei war4836 und zusah, da sie sahen2334, was da geschah1096, schlugen5180 sich an1909 ihre1438 Brust4738 und wandten wieder5290 um.

49 Es stunden aber1161 alle3956 seine846 Verwandten von575 ferne3113 und2532 die Weiber1135, die ihm846 aus Galiläa1056 waren nachgefolget, und sahen3708 das alles5023.

50 Und2532 siehe2400, ein Mann435 mit2532 Namen3686 Joseph2501, ein Ratsherr1010, der war5225 ein guter18, frommer1342 Mann435;

51 der3778 hatte nicht3756 bewilliget in ihren846 Rat1012 und2532 Handel4234; der846 war2258 von575 Arimathia707, der Stadt4172 der Juden, der auch2532 auf4327 das3739 Reich932 Gottes2316 wartete:

52 der3778 ging zu4334 Pilatus4091 und bat154 um den Leib4983 JEsu2424

53 und2532 nahm2507 ihn846 ab2507, wickelte1794 ihn846 in1722 Leinwand4616 und2532 legte5087 ihn846 in ein gehauen Grab3418, darinnen niemand3756 je3764 gelegen2749 war2258.

54 Und2532 es war2258 der Rüsttag3904, und2532 der Sabbat2250 brach an2020.

55 Es846 folgeten aber1161 die3748 Weiber1135 nach, die mit4905 ihm846 kommen waren2258 aus1537 Galiläa1056, und2532 beschaueten das Grab3419, und2532 wie5613 sein Leib4983 gelegt5087 ward.

56 Sie kehreten aber1161 um5290 und2532 bereiteten2090 Spezerei759 und2532 Salben3464. Und den3303 Sabbat4521 über waren sie stille nach2596 dem Gesetz1785.

13 Pilatus4091 aber1161 rief die Hohenpriester749 und2532 die Obersten758 und2532 das Volk2992 zusammen4779

14 And he said to them, You brought me this man, as if he were misleading your people; and behold, I have examined him before your own eyes, and I have found no fault in this man concerning all that you accuse him.

22 And he said to them the third time, What evil has he done? I have found nothing in him, worthy of death; I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

22 Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zum drittenmal5154 zu4314 ihnen: Was5101 hat4160 denn1063 dieser3778 Übels2556 getan4160? Ich finde2147 keine3762 Ursache158 des846 Todes2288 an1722 ihm846; darum3767 will ich ihn züchtigen3811 und loslassen630.

23 But they persisted with loud voices, and asked to crucify him. And their voice and that of the high priests prevailed.

23 Aber1161 sie lagen1945 ihm an mit großem3173 Geschrei5456 und2532 forderten, daß er846 gekreuziget würde154. Und2532 ihr846 und der Hohenpriester749 Geschrei5456 nahm überhand2729.

24 Then Pilate commanded to have their request granted.

24 Pilatus4091 aber1161 urteilete, daß ihre846 Bitte155 geschähe1096,

25 So he released to them the one who because of sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they asked for; and he delivered Jesus to their will.

25 und2532 ließ630 den los, der3739 um1223 Aufruhrs4714 und1161 Mords willen5408 war3860 ins1519 Gefängnis5438 geworfen906, um welchen sie846 baten154; aber1161 JEsum2424 übergab er846 ihrem Willen2307.

26 And while they took him away, they laid hold of Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming from the field, and they placed the end of the cross on him, to carry it with Jesus.

26 Und2532 als sie1949 ihn520 hinführeten, ergriffen sie846 einen5100, Simon4613 von2956 Kyrene, der kam2064 vom575 Felde68, und legten2007 das Kreuz4716 auf2007 ihn520, daß5613 er846‘s JEsu2424 nachtrüge3693.

27 And many people followed him, and the women who were mourning and wailing over him.

27 Es folgete ihm846 aber1161 nach190 ein großer4183 Haufe Volks4128 und2532 Weiber1135, die3739 klageten und2532 beweineten ihn846.

28 But Jesus turned to them and said, O daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep over me; but weep over yourselves, and over your own children.

28 JEsus2424 aber1161 wandte sich um4762 zu4314 ihnen und2532 sprach2036: Ihr846 Töchter2364 von Jerusalem2419, weinet2799 nicht3361 über1909 mich1691, sondern4133 weinet2799 über1909 euch1438 selbst und über1909 eure5216 Kinder5043.

29 For behold, the days are coming, in which they will say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never gave birth, and the breasts that never gave suck.

29 Denn3754 siehe2400, es wird die3739 Zeit2250 kommen2064, in1722 welcher3739 man sagen2046 wird: Selig3107 sind die3739 Unfruchtbaren4723 und2532 die Leiber2836, die nicht3756 geboren1080 haben2337, und2532 die Brüste3149, die nicht3756 gesäuget haben.

30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

30 Dann5119 werden sie anfangen756 zu sagen3004 zu den Bergen3735: Fallet4098 über1909 uns2248! und2532 zu den Hügeln1015: Decket2572 uns2248!

31 For if they do these things with the green wood, what will be done with dry wood?

31 Denn3754 so1487 man das5023 tut4160 am1722 grünen5200 Holz3586, was5101 will am1722 dürren3584 werden1096?

32 And there were coming with him two others, malefactors, to be put to death.

32 Es wurden aber1161 auch2532 hingeführt71 zwei1417 andere2087 Übeltäter2557, daß sie846 mit4862 ihm abgetan würden337.

33 And when they came to a place which is called The Skull, they crucified him there, and the malefactors, one on his right and one on his left.

33 Und2532 als sie846 kamen565 an1909 die3588 Stätte5117 die3739 da3753 heißt2564 Schädelstätte2898, kreuzigten4717 sie1161 ihn daselbst1563 und2532 die Übeltäter2557 mit ihm, einen zur1537 Rechten1188 und3303 einen zur1537 Linken710.

34 And Jesus said, O Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing. And they divided his garments and cast lots over them.

34 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach3004: Vater3962, vergib863 ihnen; denn1063 sie846 wissen nicht3756 was5101 sie tun4160. Und1161 sie teileten seine846 Kleider2440 und warfen906 das1492 Los2819 darum.

35 The people stood looking on. And even the leaders of the synagogue mocked him, and said, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ, the chosen one of God.

35 Und2532 das Volk2992 stund und sah2334 zu. Und die Obersten758 samt4862 ihnen spotteten1592 sein und sprachen3004: Er846 hat andern243 geholfen4982, er helfe4982 sich1438 selber, ist2476 er Christ, der Auserwählte1588 Gottes5547!

36 And the soldiers ridiculed him, as they came near him and offered him vinegar,

36 Es verspotteten1702 ihn auch2532 die Kriegsknechte4757, traten zu4334 ihm846 und1161 brachten4374 ihm846 Essig3690

37 Saying to him, If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.

37 und2532 sprachen3004: Bist1488 du4771 der Juden2453 König935, so1487 hilf4982 dir selber4572.

38 There was also an inscription which was written over him, in Greek and Roman, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38 Es war2258 auch2532 oben über1909 ihm846 geschrieben1125 die Überschrift1923 mit griechischen1673 und1161 lateinischen und2532 ebräischen Buchstaben1121: Dies3778 ist2532 der2076 Juden2453 König935.

39 Now one of the malefactors who were crucified with him, blasphemed against him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and save us also.

39 Aber1161 der1520 Übeltäter2557 einer, die da gehenkt waren2910, lästerte987 ihn846 und2532 sprach3004: Bist1488 du4771 Christus5547, so1487 hilf4982 dir selbst4572 und uns2248!

40 But the other rebuked him, and said to him, Do you not fear even God, for you are also in the same judgment?

40 Da antwortete611 der846 andere2087, strafte2008 ihn846 und1161 sprach3004: Und3754 du4771 fürchtest5399 dich5399 auch nicht3761 vor GOtt2316, der du doch in1722 gleicher Verdammnis2917 bist1488?

41 And ours is just, for we are paid as we deserve and as we have done; but he has done nothing wrong.

41 Und2532 zwar3303 wir2249 sind billig darinnen; denn1063 wir empfangen, was3739 unsere Taten4238 wert514 sind; dieser3778 aber1161 hat618 nichts3762 Ungeschicktes824 gehandelt4238.

42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, my Lord, when you come in your kingdom.

42 Und2532 sprach3004 zu JEsu2424: HErr2962, gedenke3415 an mich3450 wenn3752 du in1722 dein4675 Reich932 kommst2064!

43 Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in Paradise. *

43 Und2532 JEsus2424 sprach2036 zu1722 ihm846: Wahrlich281, ich sage3004 dir4671, heute4594 wirst du mit3326 mir1700 im Paradies3857 sein2071.

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and darkness fell upon the whole earth, until the ninth hour.

44 Und1161 es war2258 um5616 die sechste1623 Stunde5610. Und es ward1096 eine Finsternis4655 über das ganze3650 Land1093 bis2193 an1909 die neunte1766 Stunde5610.

45 And the sun was darkened, and the door curtains of the temple were torn in the center.

45 Und2532 die Sonne2246 verlor ihren Schein4654, und2532 der Vorhang2665 des Tempels3485 zerriß4977 mitten3319 entzwei.

46 Then Jesus cried with a loud voice and said, O my Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. He said this and passed away.

46 Und2532 JEsus2424 rief5455 laut3173 und2532 sprach2036: Vater3962, ich befehle3908 meinen3450 Geist4151 in1519 deine4675 Hände5495! Und als er das5023 gesagt2036, verschied1606 er.

47 When the centurion saw what had happened, he praised God and said, Truly this was a righteous man.

47 Da aber1161 der Hauptmann1543 sah1492, was da geschah; preisete er3778 GOtt2316 und sprach3004: Fürwahr3689, dieser ist1392 ein frommer1342 Mensch444 gewesen1096!

48 And all the people who were gathered together to see this sight, when they saw what had happened, returned, beating their breasts.

48 Und2532 alles Volk3793, das3956 dabei war4836 und zusah, da sie sahen2334, was da geschah1096, schlugen5180 sich an1909 ihre1438 Brust4738 und wandten wieder5290 um.

49 And all the acquaintances of Jesus stood afar off, and the women who had come with him from Galilee, and they were beholding these things.

49 Es stunden aber1161 alle3956 seine846 Verwandten von575 ferne3113 und2532 die Weiber1135, die ihm846 aus Galiläa1056 waren nachgefolget, und sahen3708 das alles5023.

50 There was a man named Joseph the counsellor of Arimathaea, a city of Judaea, a good and righteous man.

50 Und2532 siehe2400, ein Mann435 mit2532 Namen3686 Joseph2501, ein Ratsherr1010, der war5225 ein guter18, frommer1342 Mann435;

51 He did not agree with their wishes and their actions; and he waited for the kingdom of God.

51 der3778 hatte nicht3756 bewilliget in ihren846 Rat1012 und2532 Handel4234; der846 war2258 von575 Arimathia707, der Stadt4172 der Juden, der auch2532 auf4327 das3739 Reich932 Gottes2316 wartete:

52 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

52 der3778 ging zu4334 Pilatus4091 und bat154 um den Leib4983 JEsu2424

53 And he took it down and wrapped it in fine linen, and laid it in a hewn tomb, in which no one was ever laid.

53 und2532 nahm2507 ihn846 ab2507, wickelte1794 ihn846 in1722 Leinwand4616 und2532 legte5087 ihn846 in ein gehauen Grab3418, darinnen niemand3756 je3764 gelegen2749 war2258.

54 This was a Friday, and the sabbath was approaching.

54 Und2532 es war2258 der Rüsttag3904, und2532 der Sabbat2250 brach an2020.

55 The women who had come with him from Galilee were near, and they saw the tomb, and how his body was laid.

55 Es846 folgeten aber1161 die3748 Weiber1135 nach, die mit4905 ihm846 kommen waren2258 aus1537 Galiläa1056, und2532 beschaueten das Grab3419, und2532 wie5613 sein Leib4983 gelegt5087 ward.

56 And they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And on the sabbath they rested, as it is commanded.

56 Sie kehreten aber1161 um5290 und2532 bereiteten2090 Spezerei759 und2532 Salben3464. Und den3303 Sabbat4521 über waren sie stille nach2596 dem Gesetz1785.
