Leviticus

Chapter 18

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, I am the LORD your God.

3 You shall not do according to the doings of the land of Egypt wherein you dwelt, neither shall you do according to the doings of the land of Canaan whither I bring you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.

4 But you shall do my judgments and keep my commandments and walk in them; I am the LORD your God.

5 You shall therefore keep my commandments and my judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them; I am the LORD.

6 None of you shall be intimate with any that is near of kin to him to uncover her nakedness; I am the LORD.

7 You shall not shame your father by approaching your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

8 You shall not approach your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.

9 You shall not approach your sister, the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, whether she is begotten of your father or of another man.

10 You shall not approach your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter, because they are your own kin.

11 You shall not approach your father's wife's daughter, begotten of your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness.

12 You shall not approach your father's sister, she is your father's near kinswoman.

13 You shall not approach your mother's sister, for she is your mother's near kinswoman.

14 You shall not put to shame your father's brother; you shall not approach his wife: for she is your aunt, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

15 You shall not approach your daughter-in-law; for she is your son's wife; you shall not uncover tier nakedness.

16 You shall not approach your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness.

17 You shall not approach a woman and her daughter; neither shall you take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to uncover nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen; it is wickedness.

18 And you shall not take to wife a sister of your wife, to distress her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.

19 You shall not be intimate with a woman while she is unclean during her menstruation.

20 Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife to defile yourself with her.

21 You shall not let any of your semen be cast into a strange woman to cause her to be pregnant; neither shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; because it is an abomination.

23 Neither shall you lie with any beast to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie with it; because it is an abomination.

24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these things; for it was in all these that the nations are defiled which I am casting out before you;

25 And the land is defiled; therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it so that the land is bereaved of its inhabitants.

26 You shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither you nor any proselytes who sojourn among you

27 (For all these sins have the men of the land done who were before you, and the land is defiled);

28 Do not defile the land, lest it cast you out as it cast out the nations that were before you.

29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

30 Therefore you shall keep my ordinance, and you shall not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and you shall not defile yourselves by them; I am the LORD your God.

5 Darum sollt8104 ihr meine Satzungen2708 halten und meine Rechte4941. Denn834 welcher Mensch120 dieselben tut6213, der wird dadurch leben2425; denn ich bin der HErr3068.

6 Niemand376 soll1540 sich1320 zu seiner nächsten Blutsfreundin7607 tun7126, ihre Scham6172 zu blößen; denn ich bin der HErr3068.

7 Du sollst deines Vaters1 und deiner Mutter517 Scham6172 nicht blößen; es ist deine Mutter517, darum sollst du ihre Scham6172 nicht blößen.

8 Du sollst deines Vaters1 Weibes802 Scham6172 nicht blößen; denn es ist deines Vaters1 Scham6172.

9 Du sollst deiner Schwester269 Scham6172, die1323 deines Vaters1 oder deiner Mutter517 Tochter1323 ist, daheim1004 oder draußen2351 geboren4138, nicht blößen.

10 Du sollst deines Sohns oder deiner Tochter1121 Tochter1323 Scham6172 nicht blößen; denn es2007 ist deine Scham6172.

11 Du sollst der Tochter1323 deines Vaters1 Weibes802, die deinem Vater1 geboren4138 ist und deine Schwester269 ist, Scham6172 nicht blößen.

12 Du sollst deines Vaters1 Schwester269 Scham6172 nicht blößen; denn es ist deines Vaters1 nächste Blutsfreundin7607.

15 Du sollst deiner Schnur Scham6172 nicht blößen; denn es ist deines Sohns Weib802, darum sollst du ihre Scham6172 nicht blößen.

18 Du sollst auch deines Weibes802 Schwester269 nicht nehmen3947 neben ihr, ihre2416 Scham6172 zu blößen, ihr zuwider6887, weil sie noch lebet.

19 Du sollst nicht5079 zum Weibe802 gehen7126, weil sie ihre Krankheit hat1540, in ihrer Unreinigkeit2932 ihre Scham6172 zu blößen.

20 Du sollst auch nicht bei deines nächsten5997 Weib802 liegen, sie5414 zu besamen, damit du dich an ihr verunreinigest.

21 Du sollst auch deines Samens2233 nicht geben5414, daß es dem Molech verbrannt werde5674, daß du nicht entheiligest den Namen8034 deines Gottes430; denn ich bin der HErr3068.

22 Du sollst nicht bei Knaben2145 liegen7901 wie beim4904 Weibe802; denn es ist ein Greuel8441.

23 Du sollst auch bei keinem Tier929 liegen7903, daß du mit6440 ihm verunreiniget werdest2930. Und5414 kein Weib802 soll mit einem Tier zu schaffen haben929; denn es ist5975 ein Greuel8397.

24 Ihr sollt euch in dieser428 keinem verunreinigen2930; denn in diesem allem haben sich verunreiniget die Heiden1471, die ich vor6440 euch her will ausstoßen7971,

25 und das Land776 dadurch verunreiniget ist2930. Und ich will ihre Missetat5771 an ihnen heimsuchen6485, daß das Land776 seine Einwohner3427 ausspeie6958.

26 Darum haltet8104 meine Satzungen2708 und Rechte4941 und tut6213 dieser Greuel8441 keine, weder der Einheimische249 noch der Fremdling1616 unter8432 euch1481;

27 denn alle solche Greuel8441 haben die411 Leute582 dieses Landes776 getan6213, die vor6440 euch waren, und haben das Land776 verunreiniget;

28 auf6440 daß euch nicht auch das Land776 ausspeie6958, wenn ihr es verunreiniget, gleichwie es die Heiden1471 hat ausgespeiet, die vor euch waren.

29 Denn welche diese Greuel8441 tun6213, deren Seelen5315 sollen ausgerottet werden3772 von7130 ihrem Volk5971.

30 Darum haltet8104 meine Satzung, daß6213 ihr nicht tut6213 nach den greulichen8441 Sitten2708, die4931 vor6440 euch waren, daß ihr nicht damit verunreiniget werdet2930; denn ich bin der HErr3068, euer GOtt430.
