2 О помощи просил я Бога, Тебе молился я, о Боже. Услышь меня, молю!

3 К Тебе я прихожу с бедою, к Тебе всю ночь я поднимаю руки, но утешения нет душе.

4 Все мысли о Тебе, но стон нет сил сдержать, душа изнемогает. Селах

5 Ты мне и глаз сомкнуть не дал, хотел я слово вымолвить, но в огорчении я ничего не смог сказать.

6 Я размышлял о днях, давно уже прошедших.

7 Я ночью песни свои вспомнил, и что случилось, пытался осознать. Затем себя спросил я:

8 «Навечно ли Господь покинул нас, вернёт ли Он доброту Свою?

9 Неужели навсегда прошла Его неизмеримая любовь? Услышим ли Его опять?

10 Неужели Он забыл о милосердии и вместо сострадания в гневе обратился к нам?» Селах

11 Затем подумал я: «Вот мысль, которая меня тревожит: „Неужели Бог покинул нас?”»

12 Я не забуду о делах Господних, об исполненных Им чудесах.
