2 Ибо долготы дней, лет жизни и мира они прибавят тебе.

3 Благость и истина да не оставляют тебя, навяжи их себе на шею, начертай их на скрижали сердца своего;

4 И приобретешь милость и разум добрый в очах Бога и человека.

5 Надейся на Иегову всем сердцем твоим, а на разум свой не опирайся.

6 На всех путях твоих познавай Его; и Он уравняет стези твои.

7 Не будь мудрецом в глазах своих; благоговей пред Иеговою, и удаляйся от зла.

8 Исцеление будет телу твоему, и окропление костям твоим.

9 Чти Иегову от имения твоего, и от начатка всякого прибытка твоего:

10 И наполнены будут житницы твои изобилием, и виноградный сок через края польют подточильные чаны твои.

11 Наказания Иеговы не отвергай, сын мой; и не скучай учением Его.

12 Ибо Иегова учит того, кого любит; и как отец добра желает сыну.

13 Блажен человек, нашедший премудрость; и человек, произносящий разумение.

14 Ибо торговля ею превосходнее торговли серебром; и выгода от нее больше, нежели от золота.

15 Она дороже жемчугов, и все драгоценности твои не сравняются с нею.

16 Долгота дней в правой руке ее; в левой руке ее - богатство и слава.

17 Пути ее - пути прекрасные, и все стези ее - мир.

18 Она есть древо жизни для ухватившихся за нее; и держащийся ее соделывается блаженным.

19 Иегова премудростью основал землю, поставил небеса разумом.

20 По Его ведению расторглись бездны, и облака кропят росою.

21 Сын мой, пусть не отходят они от глаз твоих; храни у себя здравомыслие и рассудительность.

22 И они будут жизнью душе твоей, и благодатью устам твоим.

23 Тогда безопасно будешь идти путем твоим; и нога твоя не поткнется.

24 Когда ляжешь спать, ничего не будешь бояться: но уснешь, и будет приятен сон твой;

25 Не будешь страшиться внезапного ужаса, и бури беззаконных, когда она придет.

26 Ибо Иегова будет опорою твоею, и сохранит ногу твою от петли.

27 Не отказывай в благодеянии, кому оно нужно, когда в руке твоей есть сила сделать.

28 Не говори другу твоему: `поди, и приди опять. И завтра дам`; тогда как есть у тебя.

29 Не куй на ближнего твоего зла, когда он в уповании живет с тобою.

30 Не заводи с человеком тяжбы без причины, когда он не сделал тебе зла.

31 Не завидуй человеку обиды, и не избери для себя какой-либо из дорог его,

32 Ибо противен Иегове лукавец, и с праводушными откровенность Его.

33 Проклятие Иеговы в доме беззаконного, а жилище праведных Он благословляет.

34 Если коварным и Он ставит ковы, то смиренным дает благодать.

35 Мудрые наследуют славу, а глупые вынимают жребий бесчестия.
