2 And Judah3063 saw7200 there8033 a daughter1323 of a certain376 Canaanite,3669 whose name8034 was Shuah;7770 and he took3947 her, and went in935 unto413 her.

2 Und935 Juda3063 sah7200 daselbst eines Kanaaniter3669-Mannes Tochter1323, der hieß8034 Suah; und nahm3947 sie. Und da er376 sie beschlief,

3 And she conceived,2029 and bore3205 a son;1121 and he called7121 853 his name8034 Er.6147
|
3 ward sie schwanger2029 und gebar3205 einen Sohn1121, den8034 hieß7121 er Ger6147.

4 And she conceived2029 again,5750 and bore3205 a son;1121 and she called7121 853 his name8034 Onan.209
|
4 Und sie ward aber schwanger2029 und gebar3205 einen Sohn1121, den8034 hieß7121 sie Onan209.

5 And she yet again5750 conceived,3254 and bore3205 a son;1121 and called7121 853 his name8034 Shelah:7956 and he was1961 at Chezib,3580 when she bore3205 him.

5 Sie gebar3205 abermal einen Sohn1121, den hieß7121 sie Sela7956; und er war zu3254 Chesib3580, da sie ihn8034 gebar3205.

6 And Judah3063 took3947 a wife802 for Er6147 his firstborn,1060 whose name8034 was Tamar.8559

6 Und Juda3063 gab3947 seinem ersten Sohn1060 Ger6147 ein Weib802, die hieß8034 Thamar8559.
|
|
7 And Er,6147 Judah's3063 firstborn,1060 was1961 wicked7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD;3068 and the LORD3068 slew4191 him.

7 Aber er war böse7451 vor5869 dem HErrn3068; darum tötete4191 ihn der HErr3068.
|
|
8 And Judah3063 said559 unto Onan,209 Go in935 unto413 thy brother's251 wife,802 and marry2992 her, and raise up6965 seed2233 to thy brother.251
|
8 Da sprach559 Juda3063 zu Onan209: Lege dich zu deines Bruders251 Weib802 und935 nimm sie zur Ehe2992, daß du deinem Bruder251 Samen2233 erweckest6965.

9 And Onan209 knew3045 that3588 the seed2233 should not3808 be1961 his; and it came to pass,1961 when518 he went in935 unto413 his brother's251 wife,802 that he spilled7843 it on the ground,776 lest1115 that he should give5414 seed2233 to his brother.251

9 Aber da Onan209 wußte3045, daß der Same2233 nicht1115 sein935 eigen sein sollte, wenn518 er sich zu seines Bruders251 Weib802 legte5414, ließ7843 er‘s auf die Erde776 fallen und verderbete es, auf daß er seinem Bruder251 nicht Samen2233 gäbe.

10 And the thing which834 he did6213 displeased7489 5869 the LORD:3068 wherefore he slew4191 him also.1571

10 Das gefiel dem HErrn3068 übel3415, das er tat6213, und tötete4191 ihn5869 auch.

11 Then said559 Judah3063 to Tamar8559 his daughter-in-law,3618 Remain3427 a widow490 at thy father's1 house,1004 till5704 Shelah7956 my son1121 be grown:1431 for3588 he said,559 Lest peradventure6435 he1931 die4191 also,1571 as his brethren251 did. And Tamar8559 went1980 and dwelt3427 in her father's1 house.1004

11 Da sprach559 Juda3063 zu seiner Schnur Thamar8559: Bleibe3427 eine Witwe490 in deines Vaters1 Hause1004, bis mein Sohn1121 Sela7956 groß wird1431. Denn er gedachte559: Vielleicht möchte er auch sterben4191 wie seine Brüder251. Also ging Thamar8559 hin3212 und blieb3427 in ihres Vaters1 Hause1004.

12 And in process of time7235 3117 the daughter1323 of Shuah7770 Judah's3063 wife802 died;4191 and Judah3063 was comforted,5162 and went up5927 unto5921 his sheepshearers1494 6629 to Timnath,8553 he1931 and his friend7453 Hirah2437 the Adullamite.5726

12 Da nun viele Tage3117 verlaufen waren7235, starb4191 des Suah Tochter1323, Judas Weib802. Und nachdem Juda3063 ausgetrauert hatte5162, ging5927 er3063 hinauf, seine Schafe6629 zu scheren1494, gen Thimnath8553 mit seinem Hirten Hira2437 von Odollam.

13 And it was told5046 Tamar,8559 saying,559 Behold2009 thy father-in-law2524 goeth up5927 to Timnath8553 to shear1494 his sheep.6629

13 Da ward der Thamar8559 angesagt5046: Siehe, dein Schwäher gehet hinauf5927 gen Thimnath8553, seine Schafe6629 zu scheren1494.

14 And she put5493 her widow's491 garments899 off from4480 5921 her, and covered3680 her with a veil,6809 and wrapped herself,5968 and sat3427 in an open5879 place,6607 which834 is by5921 the way1870 to Timnath;8553 for3588 she saw7200 that3588 Shelah7956 was grown,1431 and she1931 was not3808 given5414 unto him to wife.802

14 Da legte sie5493 die Witwenkleider491 von sich3680, die sie5493 trug, deckte sich3427 mit einem Mantel6809 und verhüllete sich und setzte5414 sich vor5869 die Tür6607 heraus an899 dem Wege1870 gen Thimnath8553; denn sie sah7200, daß Sela7956 war groß1431 worden, und sie ward5968 ihm nicht zum Weibe802 gegeben.

15 When Judah3063 saw7200 her, he thought2803 her to be a harlot;2181 because3588 she had covered3680 her face.6440

15 Da sie nun Juda3063 sah7200, meinete er2803, es wäre eine Hure2181, denn sie hatte ihr Angesicht6440 verdecket.

16 And he turned5186 unto413 her by413 the way,1870 and said,559 Go to,3051 I pray thee,4994 let me come in935 unto413 thee; (for3588 he knew3045 not3808 that3588 she1931 was his daughter-in-law.)3618 And she said,559 What4100 wilt thou give5414 me, that3588 thou mayest come in935 unto413 me?

16 Und935 machte sich5186 zu3051 ihr935 am Wege1870 und sprach559: Lieber, laß mich bei dir liegen. Denn er wußte3045 nicht, daß sie559 seine Schnur wäre. Sie antwortete: Was willst du mir geben5414, daß du bei mir liegest?

17 And he said,559 I595 will send7971 thee a kid1423 5795 from4480 the flock.6629 And she said,559 Wilt thou give5414 me a pledge,6162 till5704 thou send7971 it?

17 Er sprach559: Ich will dir einen Ziegenbock von der Herde6629 senden7971. Sie559 antwortete: So gib5414 mir ein Pfand6162, bis daß du mir‘s sendest7971.

18 And he said,559 What4100 pledge6162 shall I give5414 thee? And she said,559 Thy signet,2368 and thy bracelets,6616 and thy staff4294 that834 is in thine hand.3027 And he gave5414 it her, and came in935 unto413 her, and she conceived2029 by him.

18 Er sprach559: Was834 willst du für ein Pfand6162, das ich dir gebe? Sie559 antwortete: Deinen Ring2368 und deine Schnur6616 und deinen Stab4294, den du in den Händen3027 hast5414; Da gab5414 er‘s ihr935 und lag bei ihr; und sie ward von ihm schwanger2029.

19 And she arose,6965 and went away,1980 and laid by5493 her veil6809 from4480 5921 her, and put on3847 the garments899 of her widowhood.491

19 Und sie5493 machte sich auf6965 und ging hin und legte3847 den Mantel6809 ab und zog3212 ihre Witwenkleider491 an899.

20 And Judah3063 sent7971 853 the kid1423 5795 by the hand3027 of his friend7453 the Adullamite,5726 to receive3947 his pledge6162 from the woman's802 hand:4480 3027 but he found4672 her not.3808

20 Juda3063 aber sandte7971 den Ziegenbock5795 durch seinen7453 Hirten von3027 Odollam, daß er das Pfand6162 wieder holete von3027 dem Weibe802; und er fand4672 sie3947 nicht.

21 Then he asked7592 853 the men376 of that place,4725 saying,559 Where346 is the harlot,6948 that1931 was openly5879 by5921 the way side?1870 And they said,559 There was1961 no3808 harlot6948 in this2088 place.

21 Da2088 fragte7592 er die Leute582 desselbigen Orts und5869 sprach559: Wo4725 ist die Hure6948, die außen am Wege1870 saß? Sie559 antworteten: Es ist keine Hure6948 dagewesen.

22 And he returned7725 to413 Judah,3063 and said,559 I cannot3808 find4672 her; and also1571 the men376 of the place4725 said,559 that there was1961 no3808 harlot6948 in this2088 place.
|
22 Und er kam wieder7725 zu Juda3063 und sprach559: Ich habe4672 sie nicht3808 funden; dazu sagen559 die Leute582 desselben Orts4725, es sei keine Hure6948 dagewesen.

|
23 And Judah3063 said,559 Let her take3947 it to her, lest6435 we be1961 shamed:937 behold,2009 I sent7971 this2088 kid,1423 and thou859 hast not3808 found4672 her.
|
23 Juda3063 sprach559: Sie hab‘s ihr, sie kann uns doch ja nicht Schande nachsagen937; denn ich habe4672 den Bock1423 gesandt7971, so hast3947 du sie nicht funden.
|

24 And it came to pass1961 about three4480 7969 months2320 after, that it was told5046 Judah,3063 saying,559 Tamar8559 thy daughter-in-law3618 hath played the harlot;2181 and also,1571 behold,2009 she is with child2030 by whoredom.2183 And Judah3063 said,559 Bring her forth,3318 and let her be burnt.8313

24 Über drei7969 Monden2320 ward Juda3063 angesagt5046: Deine Schnur Thamar8559 hat gehuret; dazu siehe, sie559 ist von3318 Hurerei2181 schwanger2030 worden. Juda3063 sprach559: Bringet sie hervor, daß sie verbrannt werde8313.

25 When she1931 was brought forth,3318 she1931 sent7971 to413 her father-in-law,2524 saying,559 By the man,376 whose834 these428 are, am I595 with child:2030 and she said,559 Discern,5234 I pray thee,4994 whose4310 are these,428 the signet,2858 and bracelets,6616 and staff.4294

25 Und da man sie hervorbrachte, schickte7971 sie zu ihrem Schwäher und sprach559: Von3318 dem Manne376 bin ich schwanger2030, des dies ist. Und sprach559: Kennest du5234 auch, wes dieser Ring2858 und diese Schnur6616 und dieser Stab4294 ist?

26 And Judah3063 acknowledged5234 them, and said,559 She hath been more righteous6663 than4480 I; because3588 that5921 3651 I gave5414 her not3808 to Shelah7956 my son.1121 And he knew3045 her again3254 no3808 more.5750

26 Juda3063 erkannte5234 es und sprach559: Sie ist3045 gerechter6663 denn ich; denn ich habe sie nicht3254 gegeben5414 meinem Sohn1121 Sela7956. Doch beschlief er sie nicht mehr.

27 And it came to pass1961 in the time6256 of her travail,3205 that, behold,2009 twins8380 were in her womb.990

27 Und da6256 sie gebären3205 sollte, wurden Zwillinge8380 in ihrem Leibe990 erfunden.

28 And it came to pass,1961 when she travailed,3205 that the one put out5414 his hand:3027 and the midwife3205 took3947 and bound7194 upon5921 his hand3027 a scarlet thread,8144 saying,559 This2088 came out3318 first.7223

28 Und als sie jetzt gebar3205, tat5414 sich3027 eine Hand3027 heraus. Da nahm3947 die Wehmutter und band7194 einen roten8144 Faden darum und sprach559: Der wird der erste7223 herauskommen3318.

29 And it came to pass,1961 as he drew back7725 his hand,3027 that, behold,2009 his brother251 came out:3318 and she said,559 How4100 hast thou broken forth?6555 this breach6556 be upon5921 thee: therefore his name8034 was called7121 Pharez.6557

29 Da aber der seine Hand3027 wieder7725 hinein zog, kam sein Bruder251 heraus3318; und sie7121 sprach559: Warum hast du um deinetwillen solchen Riß6556 gerissen6555? Und man hieß8034 ihn Perez6557.

30 And afterward310 came out3318 his brother,251 that834 had the scarlet thread8144 upon5921 his hand:3027 and his name8034 was called7121 Zarah.2226
|
30 Danach kam sein Bruder251 heraus3318, der den roten8144 Faden um seine Hand3027 hatte. Und310 man7121 hieß8034 ihn Serah2226.
