4 耶路撒冷女乎、我所愛之夫子酣寢、爾勿驚之、待其自寤。

5 諸婢曰、新婦自野而至、與其夫偕行、相爲依倚、不識爲誰。良人曰、在檳樹下、爾母生汝、在彼我與爾相遇、眷愛情深、甚爲感激。

6 新婦曰、願爾心懷我、手抱我、心心相印、若合符節、我愛汝甚切、至死不渝、如有他婦奪寵、我銜憾實深、雖入土猶不已、我必忿怒、烈若火焰。

7 我眷愛爾、情甚篤摯、河水汎濫、亦不能滅、雖傾家以博愛、亦不可得。

8 我之女弟、年未及筓、成婚之日、當如之何。

9 良人曰、如彼難進若城垣、我作金臺以攻之、如彼易入若門戶、我用木板以圍之。

10 新婦曰、我若城垣、我若高臺、故獲恩寵。
