Kapitel 4

2 Der HErr136 HErr3069 hat geschworen7650 bei seiner Heiligkeit6944: Siehe, es kommt935 die Zeit3117 über euch, daß man euch wird herausrücken mit Angeln6793 und eure Nachkommen319 mit Fischhäklein.

3 Und werdet zu den Lücken6556 hinausgehen3318, eine802 jegliche vor sich hin, und gen Harmon2038 weggeworfen werden7993, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

4 Ja, kommt935 her935 gen Bethel und treibet Sünde6586 und gen Gilgal1537, daß ihr der Sünden viel7235 machet; und bringet eure Opfer2077 des Morgens1242 und eure Zehnten4643 des dritten7969 Tages3117.

5 Und räuchert6999 vom Sauerteig2557 zum Dankopfer8426 und prediget7121 von freiwilligem Opfer5071 und verkündiget es; denn so3651 habt ihr‘s8085 gerne157, ihr Kinder1121 Israel3478, spricht5002 der HErr136 HErr3069.

6 Darum hab ich euch7725 auch in allen euren Städten5892 müßige5356 Zähne8127 gegeben5414 und Mangel2640 an Brot3899 an allen euren Orten4725. Noch bekehretet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

7 Auch hab ich den Regen1653 über euch verhalten4513, bis daß noch drei7969 Monden2320 waren zur Ernte7105; und5892 ich ließ regnen4305 über eine259 Stadt5892 und auf die andere259 ließ ich nicht regnen4305; ein259 Acker2513 ward beregnet, und der andere Acker2513, der nicht beregnet ward, verdorrete.

8 Und zogen zwo, drei7969 Städte5892 zu einer259 Stadt5892, daß sie8147 Wasser4325 trinken8354 möchten, und konnten es nicht genug7646 finden. Noch bekehretet ihr euch7725 nicht zu mir5128, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

9 Ich plagte5221 euch7725 mit dürrer Zeit3420 und mit Brandkorn7711; so fraßen398 auch die Raupen1501 alles7235, was in euren Gärten1593, Weinbergen3754, Feigenbäumen8384 und Ölbäumen2132 wuchs. Noch bekehretet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

10 Ich schickte Pestilenz1698 unter euch7725, gleicherweise wie in Ägypten4714; ich tötete2026 eure junge Mannschaft970 durchs Schwert2719 und ließ7971 eure Pferde5483 gefangen7628 wegführen; ich ließ den Gestank889 von eurem Heerlager4264 in eure Nasen gehen5927. Noch bekehretet ihr1870 euch nicht639 zu mir, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

11 Ich kehrete etliche unter euch um7725, wie GOtt430 Sodom5467 und8316 Gomorrha umkehrete, daß ihr waret wie ein Brand181, der aus dem Feuer gerissen wird5337. Noch kehretet ihr euch nicht2015 zu mir, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

12 Darum will ich dir weiter also tun6213, Israel3478. Weil6118 ich denn dir also tun6213 will, so schicke dich3559, Israel3478, und begegne7125 deinem GOtt430!

13 Denn siehe, er ist‘s, der die Berge2022 macht3335, den Wind7307 schaffet und6213 zeiget dem Menschen120, was er reden5046 soll. Er macht die Morgenröte7837 und die Finsternis5890; er tritt1869 auf den Höhen1116 der Erden776: er heißt8034 HErr3068, GOtt430 Zebaoth6635.

Chapter 4

1 HEAR this word, O vicious men of Bashan, who are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to their lords, Bring, and let us drink:

2 The LORD God has sworn by his holiness that, behold, the days are coming upon you when they shall take you away with weapons and the last of you shall be devoured.

3 And every woman shall run to the breach which is before her; and they shall be cast away to the mountain of Armenia, says the LORD.

4 Come to Beth-el and transgress; go to Gilgal and multiply transgressions; and bring your sacrifices every morning and your tithes every third day,

5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leavened bread, and vow your vows and fulfill them; for thus you have loved to do, O children of Israel, says the LORD God.

6 And I also have given you shortage of food in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet you have not returned to me, says the LORD.

7 And I also have withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city; one part was rained upon, and the other part on which it did not rain withered.

8 So the inhabitants of two or three cities gathered into one city to drink water; but they were not satisfied; yet you returned not to me, says the LORD.

9 I have smitten you with blight and mildew, and with hail stones; and many of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees were eaten by the creeping locust; and yet you did not return to me, says the LORD.

10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men with the sword, together with the spoil of your horses; and I made the stench of your camps to come up to your nostrils; yet you did not return to me, says the LORD.

11 I have overthrown you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you have become like a firebrand which is plucked out of the burning; yet you did not return to me, says the LORD.

12 Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel, at the end; and because I will do this to you, prepare, O Israel, that you might call to your God.

13 For lo, he who creates the wind and creates the mountains and declares to man what is his glory, who makes the morning darkness and walks upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, the God of hosts, is his name.
