1 Now Jericho3405 was straitly shut up5462 5462 because4480 6440 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 none369 went out,3318 and none369 came in.935

2 Aber der HErr3068 sprach559 zu Josua3091: Siehe7200 da, ich habe2428 Jericho3405 samt ihrem Könige4428 und Kriegsleuten1368 in deine Hand3027 gegeben5414.

2 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Joshua,3091 See,7200 I have given5414 into thine hand3027 853 Jericho,3405 and the king4428 thereof, and the mighty1368 men of valor.2428

3 Laß alle Kriegsmänner582 rings um5437 die Stadt5892 hergehen einmal259; und5892 tue6213 sechs8337 Tage3117 also.

3 And ye shall compass5437 853 the city,5892 all3605 ye men376 of war,4421 and go round about5362 853 the city5892 once.259 6471 Thus3541 shalt thou do6213 six8337 days.3117

4 Am siebenten7637 Tage3117 aber laß die Priester3548 sieben7651 Posaunen7782 des Halljahrs7782 nehmen5375 vor6440 der Lade727 her; und3548 gehet desselben siebenten7651 Tages siebenmal um5437 die Stadt5892 und7651 laß die Priester die Posaunen blasen8628.

4 And seven7651 priests3548 shall bear5375 before6440 the ark727 seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams' horns:3104 and the seventh7637 day3117 ye shall compass5437 853 the city5892 seven7651 times,6471 and the priests3548 shall blow8628 with the trumpets.7782

5 Und wenn man4900 des Halljahrs7782 Horn7161 bläset und tönet, daß ihr6963 die Posaunen höret, so soll das ganze Volk5971 ein376 groß1419 Feldgeschrei8643 machen7321, so werden8085 der Stadt5892 Mauern2346 umfallen; und das Volk5971 soll hineinfallen, ein jeglicher stracks vor sich5307;

5 And it shall come to pass,1961 that when they make a long blast4900 with the ram's3104 horn,7161 and when ye hear8085 853 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 all3605 the people5971 shall shout7321 with a great1419 shout;8643 and the wall2346 of the city5892 shall fall down5307 flat,8478 and the people5971 shall ascend up5927 every man376 straight before5048 him.

7 Zum Volk5971 aber sprach559 er: Ziehet hin und gehet5674 um5437 die Stadt5892; und wer gerüstet ist2502, gehe5674 vor6440 der Lade727 des HErrn3068 her.

7 And he said559 unto413 the people,5971 Pass on,5674 and compass5437 853 the city,5892 and let him that is armed2502 pass on5674 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD.3068

8 Da Josua3091 solches dem Volk5971 gesagt559 hatte, trugen5375 die sieben7651 Priester sieben7651 Halljahrsposaunen7782 vor6440 der Lade727 des HErrn3068 her und3548 gingen1980 und bliesen8628 die Posaunen7782; und die Lade des Bundes1285 des HErrn3068 folgte5674 ihnen nach310.

8 And it came to pass,1961 when Joshua3091 had spoken559 unto413 the people,5971 that the seven7651 priests3548 bearing5375 the seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams' horns3104 passed on5674 before6440 the LORD,3068 and blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 followed1980 310 them.

9 And the armed men2502 went1980 before6440 the priests3548 that blew8628 with the trumpets,7782 and the rearward622 came1980 after310 the ark,727 the priests going on,1980 and blowing8628 with the trumpets.7782

10 Josua3091 aber gebot6680 dem Volk5971 und sprach559: Ihr sollt kein Feldgeschrei7321 machen7321, noch eure Stimme6963 hören lassen, noch ein Wort1697 aus3318 eurem Munde6310 gehen bis auf den Tag3117, wenn ich zu8085 euch sagen559 werde: Machet ein Feldgeschrei7321! so machet dann ein Feldgeschrei.

10 And Joshua3091 had commanded6680 the people,5971 saying,559 Ye shall not3808 shout,7321 nor3808 make any noise8085 with854 your voice,6963 neither3808 shall any word1697 proceed out3318 of your mouth,4480 6310 until5704 the day3117 I bid559 you shout;7321 then shall ye shout.7321

11 Also ging935 die Lade727 des HErrn3068 rings um5437 die Stadt5892 einmal259; und kamen in das Lager4264 und blieben3885 drinnen.

11 So the ark727 of the LORD3068 compassed5437 853 the city,5892 going about5362 it once:259 6471 and they came935 into the camp,4264 and lodged3885 in the camp.4264

12 Denn Josua3091 pflegte sich7925 des Morgens1242 frühe aufzumachen; und3548 die Priester trugen5375 die Lade727 des HErrn3068.

12 And Joshua3091 rose early7925 in the morning,1242 and the priests3548 took up5375 853 the ark727 of the LORD.3068
|
|
13 So trugen5375 die sieben7651 Priester die sieben7651 Halljahrsposaunen7782 vor6440 der Lade727 des HErrn3068 her und3548 gingen1980 und1980 bliesen8628 Posaunen7782; und1980 wer gerüstet war2502, ging1980 vor6440 ihnen her, und310 der Haufe622 folgte der Lade727 des HErrn3068 und1980 blies8628 Posaunen7782.

13 And seven7651 priests3548 bearing5375 seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams' horns3104 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD3068 went on continually,1980 1980 and blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and the armed men2502 went1980 before6440 them; but the rearward622 came1980 after310 the ark727 of the LORD,3068 the priests going on,1980 and blowing8628 with the trumpets.7782

14 Des andern8145 Tages3117 gingen sie auch einmal259 um5437 die Stadt5892 und kamen wieder7725 ins Lager4264. Also taten6213 sie sechs8337 Tage3117.

14 And the second8145 day3117 they compassed5437 853 the city5892 once,259 6471 and returned7725 into the camp:4264 so3541 they did6213 six8337 days.3117

15 Am siebenten7637 Tage3117 aber, da die Morgenröte aufging, machten sie sich7925 frühe7837 auf5927 und7651 gingen nach derselben Weise4941 siebenmal7651 um5437 die Stadt5892, daß sie desselben einigen Tages3117 siebenmal um5437 die Stadt5892 kamen.

16 Und3548 am siebentenmal7637, da die Priester die Posaunen7782 bliesen8628, sprach559 Josua3091 zum Volk5971: Machet ein Feldgeschrei7321, denn der HErr3068 hat euch die Stadt5892 gegeben5414.

16 And it came to pass1961 at the seventh7637 time,6471 when the priests3548 blew8628 with the trumpets,7782 Joshua3091 said559 unto413 the people,5971 Shout;7321 for3588 the LORD3068 hath given5414 you853 the city.5892

17 Aber diese Stadt5892 und alles, was drinnen ist, soll dem HErrn3068 verbannet sein. Allein die Hure2181 Rahab7343 soll leben bleiben und alle, die mit ihr im Hause1004 sind; denn sie hat2244 die Boten4397 verborgen, die wir2421 aussandten7971.

17 And the city5892 shall be1961 accursed,2764 even it,1931 and all3605 that834 are therein, to the LORD:3068 only7535 Rahab7343 the harlot2181 shall live,2421 she1931 and all3605 that834 are with854 her in the house,1004 because3588 she hid2244 853 the messengers4397 that834 we sent.7971

18 Allein7535 hütet euch8104 vor dem Verbanneten, daß2764 ihr euch nicht2763 verbannet, so ihr des Verbanneten etwas nehmet und7760 machet das Lager4264 Israels3478 verbannet und bringet3947 es in Unglück5916.

18 And ye,859 in any wise7357 keep8104 yourselves from4480 the accursed thing,2764 lest6435 ye make yourselves accursed,2763 when ye take3947 of4480 the accursed thing,2764 and make7760 853 the camp4264 of Israel3478 a curse,2764 and trouble5916 it.

19 Aber alles6944 Silber3701 und5178 Gold2091 samt dem ehernen1270 und eisernen Geräte3627 soll dem HErrn3068 geheiliget sein, daß es zu des HErrn3068 Schatz214 komme935.
|
19 But all3605 the silver,3701 and gold,2091 and vessels3627 of brass5178 and iron,1270 are consecrated6944 unto the LORD:3068 they shall come935 into the treasury214 of the LORD.3068

20 Da3920 machte6963 das8085 Volk5971 ein376 Feldgeschrei7321 und bliesen8628 Posaunen7782. Denn als das Volk5971 den Hall der Posaunen7782 hörete, machte es ein groß1419 Feldgeschrei7321. Und die Mauern2346 fielen um, und das Volk5971 erstieg5927 die Stadt5892, ein jeglicher stracks vor sich5307. Also gewannen sie5971 die Stadt5892.

20 So the people5971 shouted7321 when the priests blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and it came to pass,1961 when the people5971 heard8085 853 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 and the people5971 shouted7321 with a great1419 shout,8643 that the wall2346 fell down5307 flat,8478 so that the people5971 went up5927 into the city,5892 every man376 straight before5048 him, and they took3920 853 the city.5892

21 Und verbanneten alles, was in der Stadt5892 war, mit der Schärfe6310 des Schwerts2719, beide Mann376 und Weib802, jung5288 und alt2205, Ochsen7794, Schafe7716 und Esel2543.
|
21 And they utterly destroyed2763 853 all3605 that834 was in the city,5892 both man4480 376 and woman,802 young4480 5288 and old,2205 and ox,7794 and sheep,7716 and ass,2543 with the edge6310 of the sword.2719

22 Aber Josua3091 sprach559 zu den zween Männern582, die das Land776 verkundschaftet hatten7270: Gehet in das Haus1004 der Hure2181 und führet das Weib802 von3318 dannen heraus mit allem, das sie8147 hat, wie ihr935 geschworen7650 habt.
|
22 But Joshua3091 had said559 unto the two8147 men376 that had spied out7270 853 the country,776 Go into935 the harlot's802 2181 house,1004 and bring out3318 thence4480 8033 853 the woman,802 and all3605 that834 she hath, as834 ye swore7650 unto her.

23 Da gingen935 die Jünglinge5288, die Kundschafter7270, hinein und3318 führeten Rahab7343 heraus3318 samt ihrem Vater1 und Mutter517 und Brüdern251 und alles, was sie hatte, und all ihr3240 Geschlecht4940; und ließen sie draußen2351 außer dem Lager4264 Israels3478.

23 And the young men5288 that were spies7270 went in,935 and brought out3318 853 Rahab,7343 and her father,1 and her mother,517 and her brethren,251 and all3605 that834 she had; and they brought out3318 all3605 her kindred,4940 and left5117 them without4480 2351 the camp4264 of Israel.3478

24 Aber die Stadt5892 verbrannten8313 sie mit Feuer784 und alles; was drinnen war. Allein das Silber3701 und Gold2091 und eherne5178 und eiserne1270 Geräte3627 taten5414 sie zum Schatz214 in das Haus1004 des HErrn3068.

24 And they burnt8313 the city5892 with fire,784 and all3605 that834 was therein: only7535 the silver,3701 and the gold,2091 and the vessels3627 of brass5178 and of iron,1270 they put5414 into the treasury214 of the house1004 of the LORD.3068
|
|
25 Rahab2421 aber7343; die Hure2181, samt dem Hause1004 ihres Vaters1 und alles, was sie3427 hatte2244, ließ7971 Josua3091 leben. Und sie wohnete in Israel3478 bis auf7130 diesen Tag3117, darum daß sie die Boten4397 verborgen hatte, die Josua3091 zu2421 verkundschaften gesandt hatte gen Jericho3405.

25 And Joshua3091 saved2421 Rahab7343 the harlot2181 alive, and her father's1 household,1004 and all3605 that834 she had; and she dwelleth3427 in7130 Israel3478 even unto5704 this2088 day;3117 because3588 she hid2244 853 the messengers,4397 which834 Joshua3091 sent7971 to spy out7270 853 Jericho.3405

26 Zu der Zeit6256 schwur7650 Josua3091 und sprach559: Verflucht779 sei der Mann376 vor6440 dem HErrn3068; der diese Stadt5892 Jericho3405 aufrichtet6965 und bauet! Wenn er1129 ihren Grund3245 leget, das koste ihn seinen ersten Sohn1060; und wenn er ihre Tore1817 setzet, das koste ihn seinen jüngsten6810 Sohn!

26 And Joshua3091 adjured7650 them at that1931 time,6256 saying,559 Cursed779 be the man376 before6440 the LORD,3068 that834 riseth up6965 and buildeth1129 853 this2063 city5892 853 Jericho:3405 he shall lay the foundation3245 thereof in his firstborn,1060 and in his youngest6810 son shall he set up5324 the gates1817 of it.

27 Also war der HErr3068 mit Josua3091, daß man von ihm8089 sagte in allen Landen776.

27 So the LORD3068 was1961 with854 Joshua;3091 and his fame8089 was1961 noised throughout all3605 the country.776
