耶利米書

第41章

1 七月間，王的大臣宗室以利沙瑪的孫子、尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利帶著十個人，來到米斯巴見亞希甘的兒子基大利。他們在米斯巴一同吃餅［bread］。

2 尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和同他來的那十個人起來，用刀殺了沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，就是巴比倫王所立為全地省長的。

3 以實瑪利又殺了在米斯巴、基大利那裏的一切猶太人和所遇見的迦勒底人［Chaldeans］並［and］兵丁。

4 他殺了基大利，無人知道。第二天［the second day］，

5 有［That there］八十人從示劍和示羅，並撒瑪利亞來，鬍鬚剃去，衣服撕裂，身體劃破，手拿供物［offerings］和香［incense］，要奉到耶和華的殿。

6 尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利出米斯巴迎接他們，隨走隨哭；遇見了他們，就對他們說：「你們可以來見亞希甘的兒子基大利。」

7 他們到了城中，尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和同著他的人就將他們殺了，拋在坑中。

8 只是他們中間有十個人對以實瑪利說：「不要殺我們；因為我們有庫在田裏［have treasures in the field］，其中有大麥、小麥、油、蜜［of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey］。」於是他住了手，沒有將他們殺在弟兄中間。

9 以實瑪利將所殺之人的屍首都拋在坑裏，是他因為基大利的緣故殺的［whom he had slain because of Gedaliah］；這坑是從前亞撒王因怕以色列王巴沙所挖的；尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利將那些被殺的人填滿了坑。

10 以實瑪利將米斯巴剩下的人，就是眾公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓，原是護衛長尼布撒．拉旦交給亞希甘的兒子基大利的，都擄去了；尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利擄了他們，要往亞捫人那裏去。

11 加利亞的兒子約哈難和同著他的眾軍長聽見尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利所行的一切惡，

12 就帶領眾人前往，要和尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利爭戰，在基遍的大水［great waters］旁遇見他。

13 以實瑪利那裏的眾人看見加利亞的兒子約哈難和同著他的眾軍長，就都歡喜。

14 這樣，以實瑪利從米斯巴所擄去的眾人都轉身歸加利亞的兒子約哈難去了。

15 尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和八個人脫離約哈難的手，逃往亞捫人那裏去了。

16 尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利殺了亞希甘的兒子基大利，從米斯巴將剩下的一切百姓、大能的戰士［mighty men of war］、婦女、孩童、太監擄到基遍之後，加利亞的兒子約哈難和同著他的眾軍長將他們都奪回來；

17 他們便起行［And they departed］，在［in］靠近伯．利恆的金罕［Chimham］寓住下，要進入埃及去，

18 因為尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利殺了巴比倫王所立為省長的亞希甘的兒子基大利，約哈難懼怕迦勒底人。

Chapter 41

1 Now it came to pass1961 in the seventh7637 month,2320 that Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 the son1121 of Elishama,476 of the seed4480 2233 royal,4410 and the princes7227 of the king,4428 even ten6235 men376 with854 him, came935 unto413 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam296 to Mizpah;4708 and there8033 they did eat398 bread3899 together3162 in Mizpah.4709

2 Then arose6965 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 and the ten6235 men376 that834 were1961 with854 him, and smote5221 853 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam296 the son1121 of Shaphan8227 with the sword,2719 and slew4191 him, whom834 the king4428 of Babylon894 had made governor6485 over the land.776

3 Ishmael3458 also slew5221 all3605 the Jews3064 that834 were1961 with854 him, even with854 Gedaliah,1436 at Mizpah,4709 and the Chaldeans3778 that834 were found4672 there,8033 and the men376 of war.4421

4 And it came to pass1961 the second8145 day3117 after he had slain4191 853 Gedaliah,1436 and no3808 man376 knew3045 it,

5 That there came935 certain376 from Shechem,4480 7927 from Shiloh,4480 7887 and from Samaria,4480 8111 even fourscore8084 men,376 having their beards2206 shaven,1548 and their clothes899 rent,7167 and having cut themselves,1413 with offerings4503 and incense3828 in their hand,3027 to bring935 them to the house1004 of the LORD.3068

6 And Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 went forth3318 from4480 Mizpah4709 to meet7125 them, weeping1058 all along as he went:1980 1980 and it came to pass,1961 as he met6298 them, he said559 unto413 them, Come935 to413 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam.296

7 And it was1961 so, when they came935 into413 the midst8432 of the city,5892 that Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 slew7819 them, and cast them into413 the midst8432 of the pit,953 he,1931 and the men376 that834 were with854 him.

8 But ten6235 men376 were found4672 among them that said559 unto413 Ishmael,3458 Slay4191 us not:408 for3588 we have3426 treasures4301 in the field,7704 of wheat,2406 and of barley,8184 and of oil,8081 and of honey.1706 So he forbear,2308 and slew4191 them not3808 among8432 their brethren.251

9 Now the pit953 wherein834 8033 Ishmael3458 had cast7993 853 all3605 the dead bodies6297 of the men,376 whom834 he had slain5221 because3027 of Gedaliah,1436 was it1931 which834 Asa609 the king4428 had made6213 for fear4480 6440 of Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel:3478 and Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 filled4390 it with them that were slain.2491

10 Then Ishmael3458 carried away captive7617 853 all3605 the residue7611 of the people5971 that834 were in Mizpah,4709 even853 the king's4428 daughters,1323 and all3605 the people5971 that remained7604 in Mizpah,4709 whom834 Nebuzaradan5018 the captain7227 of the guard2876 had committed6485 to853 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam:296 and Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 carried them away captive,7617 and departed1980 to go over5674 to413 the Ammonites.1121 5983

11 But when Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that834 were with854 him, heard8085 of853 all3605 the evil7451 that834 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 had done,6213

12 Then they took3947 853 all3605 the men,376 and went1980 to fight3898 with5973 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 and found4672 him by413 the great7227 waters4325 that834 are in Gibeon.1391

13 Now it came to pass,1961 that when all3605 the people5971 which834 were with854 Ishmael3458 saw7200 853 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that834 were with854 him, then they were glad.8055

14 So all3605 the people5971 that834 Ishmael3458 had carried away captive7617 from4480 Mizpah4709 cast about5437 and returned,7725 and went1980 unto413 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah.7143

15 But Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 escaped4422 from4480 6440 Johanan3110 with eight8083 men,376 and went1980 to413 the Ammonites.1121 5983

16 Then took3947 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that834 were with854 him,853 all3605 the remnant7611 of the people5971 whom834 he had recovered7725 from4480 854 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 from4480 Mizpah,4709 after310 that he had slain5221 853 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam,296 even mighty1397 men376 of war,4421 and the women,802 and the children,2945 and the eunuchs,5631 whom834 he had brought again7725 from Gibeon:4480 1391

17 And they departed,1980 and dwelt3427 in the habitation1628 of Chimham,3643 which834 is by681 Bethlehem,1035 to go1980 to enter into935 Egypt,4714

18 Because4480 6440 of the Chaldeans:3778 for3588 they were afraid3372 of4480 6440 them, because3588 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 had slain5221 853 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam,296 whom834 the king4428 of Babylon894 made governor6485 in the land.776

7 他們到了城中，尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和同著他的人就將他們殺了，拋在坑中。

7 And it was1961 so, when they came935 into413 the midst8432 of the city,5892 that Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 slew7819 them, and cast them into413 the midst8432 of the pit,953 he,1931 and the men376 that834 were with854 him.

9 以實瑪利將所殺之人的屍首都拋在坑裏，是他因為基大利的緣故殺的［whom he had slain because of Gedaliah］；這坑是從前亞撒王因怕以色列王巴沙所挖的；尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利將那些被殺的人填滿了坑。

9 Now the pit953 wherein834 8033 Ishmael3458 had cast7993 853 all3605 the dead bodies6297 of the men,376 whom834 he had slain5221 because3027 of Gedaliah,1436 was it1931 which834 Asa609 the king4428 had made6213 for fear4480 6440 of Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel:3478 and Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 filled4390 it with them that were slain.2491

12 就帶領眾人前往，要和尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利爭戰，在基遍的大水［great waters］旁遇見他。

12 Then they took3947 853 all3605 the men,376 and went1980 to fight3898 with5973 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 and found4672 him by413 the great7227 waters4325 that834 are in Gibeon.1391

13 Now it came to pass,1961 that when all3605 the people5971 which834 were with854 Ishmael3458 saw7200 853 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that834 were with854 him, then they were glad.8055

14 這樣，以實瑪利從米斯巴所擄去的眾人都轉身歸加利亞的兒子約哈難去了。
