以弗所書

第2章

1 你們死在過犯罪惡之中，他叫你們活過來。

2 那時，你們在其中行事為人，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在叛逆之子心中運行的邪靈。

3 我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私慾而行［conversation］，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的求滿足［fulfilling］，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。

4 然而，神既有豐富的憐憫，因他愛我們的大愛，

5 當我們死在罪惡［sins］中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來。（你們得救是本乎恩。）

6 他又叫我們一同復活［raised us up together］，又使我們在基督耶穌裏一同坐在天上［made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus］，

7 要將他極豐富的恩典，就是他藉著基督耶穌［through Christ Jesus］向我們所施的恩慈，顯明給後來的世代看。

8 你們得救是本乎恩，也藉［through］著信；這並不是出於自己，乃是神所賜的；

9 也不是出於行為，免得有人自誇。

10 我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裏創造而成［created］的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所預定［ordained］叫我們行的。

11 所以你們應當記念：你們從前按肉體是外邦人，是稱為沒受割禮的；這名原是那些憑人手在肉身上稱為受割禮之人所起的。

12 那時，你們沒有［without］基督，在以色列國民以外，在所應許的諸約上是局外人，並且活在世上沒有盼望［hope］，沒有神。

13 你們從前遠離神的人，如今卻在基督耶穌裏，靠著基督［Christ］的血，已經得親近了。

14 他是我們的和睦［For he is our peace］，將兩下合而為一，拆毀了我們［us］中間隔斷的牆；

15 而且以自己的身體廢掉冤仇，就是那記在律法上的規條，為要將兩下藉著自己造成一個新人，如此便成就了和睦。

16 既在十字架上滅了冤仇，便藉這十字架使兩下歸為一體，與神和好了，

17 並且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人，也給那近處的人。

18 因為我們兩下藉著他被一個靈［Spirit］所感，得以進到父面前。

19 因此［therefore］，你們不再作外人和客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裏的人了；

20 並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有耶穌基督［Jesus Christ］自己為房角石，

21 全房［all the building］靠他聯絡得合式，漸漸成為主的聖殿。

22 你們也靠他同被建造，成為神藉著靈［Spirit］居住的所在。

2 Wherein1722 3757 in time4218 past you walked4043 according2596 to the course165 of this5127 world,2889 according2596 to the prince758 of the power1849 of the air,109 the spirit4151 that now3568 works1754 in the children5207 of disobedience:543

3 Among1722 whom3739 also2532 we all3956 had our conversation390 in times4218 past in the lusts1939 of our flesh,4561 fulfilling4160 the desires2307 of the flesh4561 and of the mind;1271 and were by nature5449 the children5043 of wrath,3709 even2532 as others.3062

4 But God,2316 who is rich4145 in mercy,1656 for his great4183 love26 with which3739 he loved25 us,

5 Even2532 when we were dead3498 in sins,3900 has quickened4806 us together4806 with Christ,5547 (by grace5485 you are saved;4982)

6 And has raised4891 us up together,4891 and made4776 us sit4776 together4776 in heavenly2032 places in Christ5547 Jesus:2424

7 That in the ages165 to come1904 he might show1731 the exceeding5235 riches4149 of his grace5485 in his kindness5544 toward1909 us through1722 Christ5547 Jesus.2424

8 For by grace5485 are you saved4982 through1223 faith;4102 and that not of yourselves:5216 it is the gift1435 of God:2316

9 Not of works,2041 lest2443 3361 any5100 man should boast.2744

10 For we are his workmanship,4161 created2936 in Christ5547 Jesus2424 to good18 works,2041 which3739 God2316 has before4282 ordained4282 that we should walk4043 in them.

11 Why1352 remember,3421 that you being in time4218 past Gentiles1484 in the flesh,4561 who3588 are called3004 Uncircumcision203 by that which3588 is called3004 the Circumcision4061 in the flesh4561 made5499 by hands;5499

12 That at1722 that time2540 you were without5565 Christ,5547 being aliens526 from the commonwealth4174 of Israel,2474 and strangers3581 from the covenants1242 of promise,1860 having2192 no3361 hope,1680 and without112 God112 in the world:2889

13 But now3570 in Christ5547 Jesus2424 you who3739 sometimes4218 were far3112 off3112 are made1096 near1451 by the blood129 of Christ.5547

14 For he is our peace,1515 who3739 has made4160 both297 one,1520 and has broken3089 down the middle3320 wall of partition5418 between us;

15 Having abolished2673 in his flesh4561 the enmity,2189 even the law3551 of commandments1785 contained in ordinances;1378 for to make2936 in himself1438 of two1417 one1520 new2537 man,444 so making4160 peace;1515

16 And that he might reconcile604 both297 to God2316 in one1520 body4983 by the cross,4716 having slain615 the enmity2189 thereby:1722

17 And came2064 and preached2097 peace1515 to you which3588 were afar3112 off, and to them that were near.1451

18 For through1223 him we both297 have2192 access4318 by one1520 Spirit4151 to the Father.3962

19 Now3767 therefore686 you are no3765 more3765 strangers3581 and foreigners,3941 but fellow citizens4847 with the saints,40 and of the household3609 of God;2316

20 And are built2026 on the foundation2310 of the apostles652 and prophets,4396 Jesus2424 Christ5547 himself848 being5607 the chief204 corner204 stone;

21 In whom3739 all3956 the building3619 fitly4883 framed4883 together4883 grows837 to an holy40 temple3485 in the Lord:2962

22 In whom3739 you also2532 are built4925 together4925 for an habitation2732 of God2316 through1722 the Spirit.4151
