第3章

1 昔在西乃山、耶和華諭摩西時、摩西亞倫之紀畧、臚列如左。

2 亞倫首生拿答、次生亞庇戶、以利亞撒、以大馬、

3 亞倫諸子、咸受香膏、任爲祭司、

4 拿答亞庇戶在西乃野、燃不聖之火、以獻耶和華、故死於其前、二人無子、以利亞撒、以大馬與父亞倫同為祭司。

5 耶和華諭摩西曰、

6 可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、

7 從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會衆、守所當守、

8 守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。

9 爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使爲助理。

10 惟立亞倫及其子爲祭司、以守其職、外人近聖室、必致死亡。

11 耶和華諭摩西曰、

12 我耶和華取利未人、代以色列族初胎之男子、故利未人屬我。

13 昔在埃及、我戮其他諸冢子時、取以色列族出胎之男、首生之畜、使獻於我、故凡初胎與首生者、悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如是。

14 耶和華在西乃野、諭摩西曰、

15 利未諸丁男、循其世系宗族、自一月以上者、當核其數。

16 摩西遵耶和華命而行。

17 利未子名、臚列如左、革順、哥轄、米喇哩。

18 革順生立尼、示每。

19 哥轄生暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄。

20 米喇哩生抹利、母示、斯利未子孫、依其世系。

21 屬革順者有立尼、示每、二族、

22 其諸丁男、自一月以上、計七千五百、

23 皆當於會幕後、西向列營。

24 拉利子以利亞薩爲革順族長。

25 革順人所守者、會幕、及其蓋、幬為幕門、

26 幕帷、及壇四周之塲帷、幬為塲門、及所用之索。

27 屬哥轄者、有暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄四族、

28 其諸丁男、自一月以上、計八千六百、使守聖所、

29 皆當於會幕南向列營。

30 烏泄子以利撒反、爲哥轄族長。

31 哥轄人所守者、法匱、几案、燈臺、祭壇、香壇、與幬、及聖室器皿、用以服事者。

32 祭司亞倫子以利亞撒爲利未族諸長之冠、統理守聖室之人。

33 屬米喇哩者、有抹利母示二族、

34 其諸丁男、自一月以上、計六千二百、

35 皆當於會幕北向列營、亞庇孩子蘇列爲米喇哩族長。

36 米喇哩人所守者、會幕之板、楗、柱、座、與所用器皿、

37 及塲四周之柱、座、釘、索。

38 惟摩西亞倫及亞倫子、於會幕前、東向列營、代以色列族守其所守、護持聖室、外人近之、必致死亡。

39 摩西亞倫遵耶和華命、核利未人數、依其世系、諸丁男、自一月以上、計二萬二千。

40 耶和華諭摩西曰、以色列族丁男冢子、自一月以上者、宜核其數、

41 取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、以歸我耶和華、亦取利未人之畜、代以色列族首生之牲、以獻於我。

42 摩西循耶和華命爲以色列族之丁男冢子、核算其數、

43 依其名籍、自一月以上者、計二萬二千二百七十三。

44 耶和華諭摩西曰、

45 取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、亦取利未人之畜、代其首生之牲、使利未人悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如此。

46 以色列族初胎之男、其數較諸利未人多二百七十三、俱當以金贖之、

47 人各取二兩有半、十錢爲一兩、權衡其數、必循聖所之法。

48 當以贖金、歸亞倫及其子。

49 以色列族丁男冢子、較利未人為尤多、所贖之金、摩西取之、計六百八十二兩有半、權衡其金、悉循聖所之法。

50 併於上節

51 以奉亞倫及其子、循耶和華所命摩西而行。

Numbers

Chapter 3

1 THESE are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spoke with Moses on mount Sinai.

2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, his first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron the priest, who were anointed and consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

4 But Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office during the lifetime of Aaron their father.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.

7 And they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole congregation in the presence of the LORD before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9 And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are wholly given to him as a gift out of the children of Israel.

10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12 Behold I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that open the womb among the children of Israel; therefore the Levites shall be mine;

13 Because all the first-born are mine; for on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; they shall be mine; I am the LORD.

14 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a month old and upward, you shall number them.

16 So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.

18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

19 And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahali and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites and the family of the Shimites; these are the families of the Gershonites.

22 Their number, according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward was seven thousand and five hundred.

23 The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.

24 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Eliab.

25 And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle and the tent, its covering and the curtains for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation

26 And the curtains of the court and the covering for the door of the court which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and the cords of it, and all the instruments thereof.

27 And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites and the family of the Izeharites and the family of the Hebronites and the family of the Uzzielites; these are the families of the Kohathites.

28 Their number according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, was eight thousand and six hundred, looking after the sanctuary.

29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizphan the son of Uzziel.

31 And their charge shall be the ark and the table and the candlestick and the altars and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister and the curtain of the door and all the service thereof.

32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the chief over the chiefs of the Levites and have the oversight over those who have charge of the sanctuary.

33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites and the family of the Mushites; these are the families of Merari.

34 Their number according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, was six thousand and two hundred.

35 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail; they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.

36 And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle and its bars and its pillars and its sockets and all the vessels thereof and all that pertains to it

37 And the pillars of the court round about and their sockets and their pins and their cords.

38 But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary in addition to the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

39 All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses numbered at the commandment of the LORD, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

40 And the LORD said to Moses, Number all the first-born of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 And you shall present the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.

42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel,

43 And all the first-born males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, and their number was twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.

44 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

45 Present the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine; I am the LORD.

46 And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are above the number of the Levites,

47 You shall take five shekels apiece by the poll, by the shekel of the sanctuary shall you take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs).

48 And you shall give the money wherewith the excess number of them is to be redeemed to Aaron and to his sons.

49 So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;

50 From the first-born of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary:

51 And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

4 拿答亞庇戶在西乃野、燃不聖之火、以獻耶和華、故死於其前、二人無子、以利亞撒、以大馬與父亞倫同為祭司。	4 But Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office during the lifetime of Aaron their father.
5 耶和華諭摩西曰、	5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、	6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.
7 從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會衆、守所當守、	7 And they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole congregation in the presence of the LORD before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8 守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。	8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
9 爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使爲助理。	9 And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are wholly given to him as a gift out of the children of Israel.
10 惟立亞倫及其子爲祭司、以守其職、外人近聖室、必致死亡。	10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.
11 耶和華諭摩西曰、	11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 我耶和華取利未人、代以色列族初胎之男子、故利未人屬我。	12 Behold I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that open the womb among the children of Israel; therefore the Levites shall be mine;

17 利未子名、臚列如左、革順、哥轄、米喇哩。	17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.
18 革順生立尼、示每。	18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

28 其諸丁男、自一月以上、計八千六百、使守聖所、	28 Their number according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, was eight thousand and six hundred, looking after the sanctuary.
29 皆當於會幕南向列營。	29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.
30 烏泄子以利撒反、爲哥轄族長。	30 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizphan the son of Uzziel.

39 摩西亞倫遵耶和華命、核利未人數、依其世系、諸丁男、自一月以上、計二萬二千。	39 All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses numbered at the commandment of the LORD, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
40 耶和華諭摩西曰、以色列族丁男冢子、自一月以上者、宜核其數、	40 And the LORD said to Moses, Number all the first-born of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
41 取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、以歸我耶和華、亦取利未人之畜、代以色列族首生之牲、以獻於我。	41 And you shall present the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.
42 摩西循耶和華命爲以色列族之丁男冢子、核算其數、	42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel,
43 依其名籍、自一月以上者、計二萬二千二百七十三。	43 And all the first-born males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, and their number was twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
44 耶和華諭摩西曰、	44 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、亦取利未人之畜、代其首生之牲、使利未人悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如此。	45 Present the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine; I am the LORD.
46 以色列族初胎之男、其數較諸利未人多二百七十三、俱當以金贖之、	46 And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are above the number of the Levites,
47 人各取二兩有半、十錢爲一兩、權衡其數、必循聖所之法。	47 You shall take five shekels apiece by the poll, by the shekel of the sanctuary shall you take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs).
48 當以贖金、歸亞倫及其子。	48 And you shall give the money wherewith the excess number of them is to be redeemed to Aaron and to his sons.
49 以色列族丁男冢子、較利未人為尤多、所贖之金、摩西取之、計六百八十二兩有半、權衡其金、悉循聖所之法。	49 So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;
50 併於上節	50 From the first-born of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary:
51 以奉亞倫及其子、循耶和華所命摩西而行。	51 And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
