1 以色列王耶羅破暗二十七年、猶大王、亞馬謝子、烏西亞卽位、

2 乃耶路撒冷婦耶可利所出、年十有六爲王、於耶路撒冷、凡歷五十二年、

3 行善於耶和華前、於父亞馬謝所爲、是則是效、

4 惟崇邱猶不廢、民仍獻祭焚香於其上。

5 耶和華降罰王躬、使患癩疾、終身不愈、異室獨居、王子約担治理家事、以鞫兆民。

6 烏西亞事實、備載於猶大列王紀畧。

7 烏西亞旣薨、與列祖同葬、於大闢之城、子約担繼位。

8 按猶大王烏西亞王三十八年、則耶羅破暗子撒加利亞在撒馬利亞爲王、治理以色列、僅歷六月、

9 於耶和華前所行不善、濟列祖之惡、恒從尼八子耶羅破暗所爲、使以色列族陷罪。

4 Save7535 that the high places1116 were not3808 removed:5493 the people5971 sacrificed2076 and burnt incense6999 still5750 on the high places.1116

5 And the LORD3068 smote5060 853 the king,4428 so that he was1961 a leper6879 unto5704 the day3117 of his death,4194 and dwelt3427 in a several2669 house.1004 And Jotham3147 the king's4428 son1121 was over5921 the house,1004 judging8199 853 the people5971 of the land.776

18 And he did6213 that which was evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD:3068 he departed5493 not3808 all3605 his days3117 from4480 5921 the sins2403 of Jeroboam3379 the son1121 of Nebat,5028 who834 made853 Israel3478 to sin.2398

19 And Pul6322 the king4428 of Assyria804 came935 against5921 the land:776 and Menahem4505 gave5414 Pul6322 a thousand505 talents3603 of silver,3701 that his hand3027 might be1961 with854 him to confirm2388 the kingdom4467 in his hand.3027

20 And Menahem4505 exacted3318 853 the money3701 of5921 Israel,3478 even of5921 all3605 the mighty men1368 of wealth,2428 of each259 man376 fifty2572 shekels8255 of silver,3701 to give5414 to the king4428 of Assyria.804 So the king4428 of Assyria804 turned back,7725 and stayed5975 not3808 there8033 in the land.776

30 And Hoshea1954 the son1121 of Elah425 made7194 a conspiracy7195 against5921 Pekah6492 the son1121 of Remaliah,7425 and smote5221 him, and slew4191 him, and reigned4427 in his stead,8478 in the twentieth6242 year8141 of Jotham3147 the son1121 of Uzziah.5818

37 In those1992 days3117 the LORD3068 began2490 to send7971 against Judah3063 Rezin7526 the king4428 of Syria,758 and Pekah6492 the son1121 of Remaliah.7425

38 And Jotham3147 slept7901 with5973 his fathers,1 and was buried6912 with5973 his fathers1 in the city5892 of David1732 his father:1 and Ahaz271 his son1121 reigned4427 in his stead.8478
