2 Коли труд своїх рук будеш їсти, — блаже́н ти, і до́бре тобі! |
|
3 Твоя жінка в кута́х твого дому — як та виногра́дина плі́дна, твої діти навко́ло твого стола́ — немов саджанці́ ті оли́вкові! |
|
4 Оце так буде поблагосло́влений муж, що боїться він Господа! |
|
5 Нехай поблагосло́вить тебе Господь із Сіо́ну, — і побачиш добро́ Єрусалиму по всі́ дні свого життя, |
|
6 і побачиш ону́ків своїх! Мир на Ізраїля! |

1 EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain. |
|
2 It is in vain for those who rise up early, who sit up late; they eat the bread of sorrows, for so he gives in sleep to his beloved. |
|
3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb is a reward. |
|
4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. |
|
5 Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; he shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with enemies in the gate. |

1 EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain. |

2 Коли труд своїх рук будеш їсти, — блаже́н ти, і до́бре тобі! |
2 It is in vain for those who rise up early, who sit up late; they eat the bread of sorrows, for so he gives in sleep to his beloved. |
