Розділ 4

1 А Ізраїлеві сини ще більше чинили зло в Господніх оча́х, а Егуд умер.

2 І передав їх Господь у руку Явіна, царя ханаанського, що царював у Гацорі. А зверхником його війська був Сісе́ра, і він сидів у Харошет-Ґаґґоїмі.

3 І кли́кали Ізраїлеві сини до Господа, бо той мав дев'ятсо́т залізних колесни́ць, і він сильно утискав Ізраїлевих синів двадцять літ.

4 А Дево́ра пророчиця, жінка Лаппідота, — вона судила Ізраїля того ча́су.

5 І сиділа вона під Дево́риною Па́льмою, між Рамою та між Бет-Елом в Єфре́мових гора́х, а Ізраїлеві сини прихо́дили до неї на суд.

6 І вона послала й покликала Бара́ка, Авіноамового сина, з Кедешу Нефтали́мового. І сказала до нього: „Ось наказав Господь, Бог Ізраїлів: Іди, зі́йдеш на го́ру Фаво́р, і ві́зьмеш з собою десять тисяч чоловіка з синів Нефтали́мових та з синів Завуло́нових.

7 А я приведу́ до тебе, до Кішонської долини, Сісе́ру, начальника Явінового ві́йська, і колесни́ці його, і натовп його, та й дам його в твою руку“.

8 І сказав до неї Бара́к: „Якщо ти пі́деш зо мною, то піду́, а якщо не пі́деш зо мною, — не піду́“.

9 А вона відказала: „Піти — піду́ з тобою, тільки не буде твоя слава на тій дорозі, якою ти пі́деш, бо в руку жінки Господь передасть Сісе́ру“. І встала Дево́ра, і пішла з Бара́ком до Кеде́шу.

10 І скликав Бара́к Завуло́на та Нефтали́ма до Кеде́шу, і пішло за ним десять тисяч чоловіка. І пішла з ним Дево́ра.

11 А кенеянин Хевер відділився від Каїна, з Ховавових синів, Мойсеєвого те́стя, і розклав намета свого аж до Елону в Цаананімі, що при Кедеші.

12 І доне́сли Сісері, що Бара́к, син Авіноамів, зійшов на го́ру Фаво́р.

13 І скликав Сісе́ра всі свої колесни́ці, дев'ятсо́т залізних колесни́ць, та ввесь народ, що з ним, з Харошет-Ґаґґоїму до кішонської долини.

14 І сказала Дево́ра до Барака: „Уставай, бо це той день, коли Господь дав Сісе́ру в твою руку. Ось Господь вийшов перед тобою“. І зійшов Барак з гори Фаво́р, а за ним десять тисяч чоловіка.

15 I Господь привів у замі́шання Сісе́ру, і всі колесни́ці та ввесь той та́бір ві́стрям меча перед Бараком. І зійшов Сісера з колесни́ці, і побіг пі́шки.

16 А Бара́к гнався за колесни́цями та за табо́ром аж до Харошет-Ґаґґоїму. І впав увесь та́бір Сісерин від ві́стря меча, — не позосталось ані одно́го.

17 А Сісе́ра втік пі́шки до намету Яїли, жінки кенеянина Хевера, бо був мир між Явіном, царем Гацору, та між домом кенеянина Хевера.

18 І вийшла Яїл навпроти Сісе́ри, і сказала до нього: „Зайди, пане мій, зайди до ме́не, — не бійся!“ І він зайшов до неї до наме́ту, і вона накрила його ки́лимом.

19 І сказав він до неї: „Напій мене трохи водою, бо я спра́гнений“. І відкрила вона молочного бурдюка́, і напоїла його, та й накрила його.

20 І сказав він до неї: „Стань при вході наме́ту. І якщо хто вві́йде й запитає тебе та скаже: Чи є тут хто? то ти відповіси: Нема“.

21 І взяла́ Яїл, жінка Хеверова, наме́тового кілка́, і взяла́ в свою руку молотка́, і підійшла тихо до нього, та й всадила того кілка́ в його скро́ню, аж у землю. А він спав, зму́чений, — і він помер.

22 А ось Барак женеться за Сісерою. І вийшла Яїл навпроти нього й сказала йому: „Іди, і я покажу́ тобі того чоловіка, що ти шукаєш“. І ввійшов він до неї, а ось Сісе́ра лежить мертвий, а кіло́к у скро́ні його!

23 Так приборкав Бог того дня Явіна, царя ханаанського, перед Ізраїлевими синами.

24 А рука Ізраїлевих синів була все тяжча над Явіном, царем ханаанським, аж поки вони вигубили Явіна, царя ханаанського.

4 And Deborah,1683 a prophetess,5031 802 the wife802 of Lapidoth,3941 she1931 judged8199 853 Israel3478 at that1931 time.6256

7 And I will draw4900 unto413 thee to413 the river5158 Kishon7028 853 Sisera,5516 the captain8269 of Jabin's2985 army,6635 with his chariots7393 and his multitude;1995 and I will deliver5414 him into thine hand.3027

8 And Barak1301 said559 unto413 her, If518 thou wilt go1980 with5973 me, then I will go:1980 but if518 thou wilt not3808 go1980 with5973 me, then I will not3808 go.1980

9 And she said,559 I will surely go1980 1980 with5973 thee: notwithstanding3808 57 the journey1870 that834 thou859 takest1980 shall not3808 be1961 for thine honor;8597 for3588 the LORD3068 shall sell4376 853 Sisera5516 into the hand3027 of a woman.802 And Deborah1683 arose,6965 and went1980 with5973 Barak1301 to Kedesh.6943

10 And Barak1301 called2199 853 Zebulun2074 and Naphtali5321 to Kedesh;6943 and he went up5927 with ten6235 thousand505 men376 at his feet:7272 and Deborah1683 went up5927 with5973 him.

11 Now Heber2268 the Kenite,7014 which was of the children4480 1121 of Hobab2246 the father-in-law2859 of Moses,4872 had severed himself6504 from the Kenites,4480 7017 and pitched5186 his tent168 unto5704 the plain436 of Zaanaim,6815 which834 is by854 Kedesh.6943

12 And they showed5046 Sisera5516 that3588 Barak1301 the son1121 of Abinoam42 was gone up5927 to mount2022 Tabor.8396

13 And Sisera5516 gathered together2199 853 all3605 his chariots,7393 even nine8672 hundred3967 chariots7393 of iron,1270 and all3605 the people5971 that834 were with854 him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles4480 2800 unto413 the river5158 of Kishon.7028

14 And Deborah1683 said559 unto413 Barak,1301 Up;6965 for3588 this2088 is the day3117 in which834 the LORD3068 hath delivered5414 853 Sisera5516 into thine hand:3027 is not3808 the LORD3068 gone out3318 before6440 thee? So Barak1301 went down3381 from mount4480 2022 Tabor,8396 and ten6235 thousand505 men376 after310 him.

15 And the LORD3068 discomfited2000 853 Sisera,5516 and all3605 his chariots,7393 and all3605 his host,4264 with the edge6310 of the sword2719 before6440 Barak;1301 so that Sisera5516 lighted down3381 off4480 5921 his chariot,4818 and fled away5127 on his feet.7272

16 But Barak1301 pursued7291 after310 the chariots,7393 and after310 the host,4264 unto5704 Harosheth of the Gentiles:2800 and all3605 the host4264 of Sisera5516 fell5307 upon the edge6310 of the sword;2719 and there was not3808 a man259 left.7604

17 Howbeit Sisera5516 fled away5127 on his feet7272 to413 the tent168 of Jael3278 the wife802 of Heber2268 the Kenite:7017 for3588 there was peace7965 between996 Jabin2985 the king4428 of Hazor2674 and the house1004 of Heber2268 the Kenite.7017

18 And Jael3278 went out3318 to meet7125 Sisera,5516 and said559 unto413 him, Turn in,5493 my lord,113 turn in5493 to413 me; fear3372 not.408 And when he had turned in5493 unto413 her into the tent,168 she covered3680 him with a mantle.8063

19 And he said559 unto413 her, Give me, I pray thee,4994 a little4592 water4325 to drink;8248 for3588 I am thirsty.6770 And she opened6605 853 a bottle4997 of milk,2461 and gave him drink,8248 and covered3680 him.

20 Again he said559 unto413 her, Stand5975 in the door6607 of the tent,168 and it shall be,1961 when518 any man376 doth come935 and inquire7592 of thee, and say,559 Is3426 there any man376 here?6311 that thou shalt say,559 No.369

21 Then Jael3278 Heber's2268 wife802 took3947 853 a nail3489 of the tent,168 and took7760 853 a hammer4718 in her hand,3027 and went935 softly3814 unto413 him, and smote8628 853 the nail3489 into his temples,7451 and fastened6795 it into the ground:776 for he1931 was fast asleep7290 and weary.5774 So he died.4191

22 And, behold,2009 as Barak1301 pursued7291 853 Sisera,5516 Jael3278 came out3318 to meet7125 him, and said559 unto him, Come,1980 and I will show7200 thee853 the man376 whom834 thou859 seekest.1245 And when he came935 into413 her tent, behold,2009 Sisera5516 lay5307 dead,4191 and the nail3489 was in his temples.7451

23 So God430 subdued3665 on that1931 day3117 853 Jabin2985 the king4428 of Canaan3667 before6440 the children1121 of Israel.3478

24 And the hand3027 of the children1121 of Israel3478 prospered,1980 and prevailed1980 7186 against5921 Jabin2985 the king4428 of Canaan,3667 until5704 834 they had destroyed3772 853 Jabin2985 king4428 of Canaan.3667

6 І вона послала й покликала Бара́ка, Авіноамового сина, з Кедешу Нефтали́мового. І сказала до нього: „Ось наказав Господь, Бог Ізраїлів: Іди, зі́йдеш на го́ру Фаво́р, і ві́зьмеш з собою десять тисяч чоловіка з синів Нефтали́мових та з синів Завуло́нових.

7 А я приведу́ до тебе, до Кішонської долини, Сісе́ру, начальника Явінового ві́йська, і колесни́ці його, і натовп його, та й дам його в твою руку“.

7 And I will draw4900 unto413 thee to413 the river5158 Kishon7028 853 Sisera,5516 the captain8269 of Jabin's2985 army,6635 with his chariots7393 and his multitude;1995 and I will deliver5414 him into thine hand.3027

8 І сказав до неї Бара́к: „Якщо ти пі́деш зо мною, то піду́, а якщо не пі́деш зо мною, — не піду́“.

9 А вона відказала: „Піти — піду́ з тобою, тільки не буде твоя слава на тій дорозі, якою ти пі́деш, бо в руку жінки Господь передасть Сісе́ру“. І встала Дево́ра, і пішла з Бара́ком до Кеде́шу.

11 А кенеянин Хевер відділився від Каїна, з Ховавових синів, Мойсеєвого те́стя, і розклав намета свого аж до Елону в Цаананімі, що при Кедеші.

14 І сказала Дево́ра до Барака: „Уставай, бо це той день, коли Господь дав Сісе́ру в твою руку. Ось Господь вийшов перед тобою“. І зійшов Барак з гори Фаво́р, а за ним десять тисяч чоловіка.

14 And Deborah1683 said559 unto413 Barak,1301 Up;6965 for3588 this2088 is the day3117 in which834 the LORD3068 hath delivered5414 853 Sisera5516 into thine hand:3027 is not3808 the LORD3068 gone out3318 before6440 thee? So Barak1301 went down3381 from mount4480 2022 Tabor,8396 and ten6235 thousand505 men376 after310 him.

15 I Господь привів у замі́шання Сісе́ру, і всі колесни́ці та ввесь той та́бір ві́стрям меча перед Бараком. І зійшов Сісера з колесни́ці, і побіг пі́шки.

15 And the LORD3068 discomfited2000 853 Sisera,5516 and all3605 his chariots,7393 and all3605 his host,4264 with the edge6310 of the sword2719 before6440 Barak;1301 so that Sisera5516 lighted down3381 off4480 5921 his chariot,4818 and fled away5127 on his feet.7272

16 А Бара́к гнався за колесни́цями та за табо́ром аж до Харошет-Ґаґґоїму. І впав увесь та́бір Сісерин від ві́стря меча, — не позосталось ані одно́го.

16 But Barak1301 pursued7291 after310 the chariots,7393 and after310 the host,4264 unto5704 Harosheth of the Gentiles:2800 and all3605 the host4264 of Sisera5516 fell5307 upon the edge6310 of the sword;2719 and there was not3808 a man259 left.7604

17 А Сісе́ра втік пі́шки до намету Яїли, жінки кенеянина Хевера, бо був мир між Явіном, царем Гацору, та між домом кенеянина Хевера.

17 Howbeit Sisera5516 fled away5127 on his feet7272 to413 the tent168 of Jael3278 the wife802 of Heber2268 the Kenite:7017 for3588 there was peace7965 between996 Jabin2985 the king4428 of Hazor2674 and the house1004 of Heber2268 the Kenite.7017

18 І вийшла Яїл навпроти Сісе́ри, і сказала до нього: „Зайди, пане мій, зайди до ме́не, — не бійся!“ І він зайшов до неї до наме́ту, і вона накрила його ки́лимом.

18 And Jael3278 went out3318 to meet7125 Sisera,5516 and said559 unto413 him, Turn in,5493 my lord,113 turn in5493 to413 me; fear3372 not.408 And when he had turned in5493 unto413 her into the tent,168 she covered3680 him with a mantle.8063

19 І сказав він до неї: „Напій мене трохи водою, бо я спра́гнений“. І відкрила вона молочного бурдюка́, і напоїла його, та й накрила його.

20 І сказав він до неї: „Стань при вході наме́ту. І якщо хто вві́йде й запитає тебе та скаже: Чи є тут хто? то ти відповіси: Нема“.

20 Again he said559 unto413 her, Stand5975 in the door6607 of the tent,168 and it shall be,1961 when518 any man376 doth come935 and inquire7592 of thee, and say,559 Is3426 there any man376 here?6311 that thou shalt say,559 No.369

21 І взяла́ Яїл, жінка Хеверова, наме́тового кілка́, і взяла́ в свою руку молотка́, і підійшла тихо до нього, та й всадила того кілка́ в його скро́ню, аж у землю. А він спав, зму́чений, — і він помер.

21 Then Jael3278 Heber's2268 wife802 took3947 853 a nail3489 of the tent,168 and took7760 853 a hammer4718 in her hand,3027 and went935 softly3814 unto413 him, and smote8628 853 the nail3489 into his temples,7451 and fastened6795 it into the ground:776 for he1931 was fast asleep7290 and weary.5774 So he died.4191

23 Так приборкав Бог того дня Явіна, царя ханаанського, перед Ізраїлевими синами.

24 А рука Ізраїлевих синів була все тяжча над Явіном, царем ханаанським, аж поки вони вигубили Явіна, царя ханаанського.

24 And the hand3027 of the children1121 of Israel3478 prospered,1980 and prevailed1980 7186 against5921 Jabin2985 the king4428 of Canaan,3667 until5704 834 they had destroyed3772 853 Jabin2985 king4428 of Canaan.3667
