1 Если бы Ты, прорвав небеса, на землю спустился, перед Тобой сотряслись бы горы.
2 Горы сгорели бы в пламени словно кусты, и закипели бы словно вода. Тогда бы все враги узнали о Тебе, и страшно стало бы народам пред Тобой.
3 Ты сотворил великие дела, которых мы не ожидали. Когда Ты на землю спустился, горы в страхе затряслись перед Тобой.
4 Никто и никогда не слышал, чтобы подобное случилось! Никто и никогда не видел Бога, подобного Тебе! Кроме Тебя, нет Бога! Нет другого Бога, подобного Тебе, Который совершает великие дела для верующих в Него.
5 Ты всегда рад тем людям, которые творят добро и почитают Тебя, живя согласно Твоим заветам. Мы согрешили пред Тобой, тем самым гнев Твой вызвав, но даже несмотря на это, Ты нас спас.
6 Мы все запятнаны грехом, и даже добрые дела замараны словно старая одежда. Мы словно листья мёртвые, грехи нас от Тебя уносят словно ветер.
7 И мы не поклоняемся Тебе, не верим в Твоё имя, неведомо нам счастье следовать Тебе. И потому от нас Ты отвернулся. Мы пред Тобой беспомощны, поскольку грехами переполнены.
8 Но, Господи, Ты — наш Отец, мы — глина, а Ты — гончар наш, мы все — дело рук Твоих.
9 Не гневайся на нас и впредь, Господь, не помни вечно наши грехи. Посмотри на нас, мы же Твой народ!
10 Пусты Твои святые города, они с пустынею сравнимы, даже Сион в пустыню превратился, Иерусалим дотла опустошён.
11 Наш храм святой сгорел в огне, он дорог был для нас, там поклонялись Тебе наши отцы. Уничтожены все драгоценности, которые принадлежали нам.
12 Неужели, Господи, Ты и дальше будешь отказываться нам помогать, а также будешь молчать и наказывать нас вечно?
