Глава 1

1 Притчи Соломона, сына Давидова, Царя Израилева:

2 Чтобы познать премудрость и образованность, чтобы изучить изречения разума,

3 Принять правило здравого смысла, верности, и правосудия, и благонравия,

4 Чтобы неопытным дать прозорливость, юноше - знание и рассудительность,

5 Послушает мудрый, и умножит сведения, - и разумный приобретет советы;

6 Чтобы разуметь притчу, и слово замысловатое, беседы мудрых и загадочные изречения их.

7 Страх Иеговы есть начало знания; премудрость и образованность глупые презирают.

8 Слушай, сын мой, наставление отца твоего; и не отвергай учение матери твоей.

9 Ибо это венец благодати для головы твоей, и ожерелье для шеи твоей.

10 Сын мой, если будут уговаривать тебя законопреступники, то не соизволяй.

11 Если скажут: `иди с нами, будем строить ковы, ради кровопролития; будем скрытно уловлять безмездно-невинного;

12 `Будем глотать их живыми, как преисподняя, и целыми, как отходят в могилу;

13 `Наберем всякого драгоценного имущества; наполним домы свои добычею.

14 `Жребий свой будешь бросать посреди нас; у всех нас будет один кошелек`.

15 Сын мой, не ходи по одной с ними дороге; удержи ногу свою от стези их.

16 Ибо ноги их к злу бегут, когда спешат, чтобы проливать кровь.

17 Ибо та сеть без пользы расстилается, которую расстилают в глазах всех, имеющих крылья;

18 И они на свою гибель коварствуют, скрытно ставят сети душам своим.

19 Таковы пути всякого, алчущего корысти; она лишает жизни того, кто предан ей.

20 Премудрость восклицает на улице, на площадях возвышает голос свой;

21 При начале многолюдных проповедует; у входа в ворота, в городе говорит речь свою:

22 `Невежды, доколе будете любить невежество? И развратные, долго ли разврат будет нравиться им? И глупые, долго ли будут ненавидеть ведение?

23 `Обратитесь к Моему учению; Се! рекою проливаю вам Дух Мой, возвещаю вам слова Мои.

24 Поелику взываю, и отрицаетесь; простираю руку Мою, и нет внимающего;

25 `И презираете всякий совет Мой, и учения Моего не желаете:

26 `То и Я посмеюсь вашей беде; поругаюсь, когда придет ужас ваш,

27 `Когда придет как буря ужас ваш, и гибель ваша как вихрь принесется, когда придет на вас скорбь и горе.

28 `Тогда будут звать Меня, и не отвечу; с утра будут искать Меня, и не найдут Меня,

29 `За то, что они возненавидели ведение, и не избрали страха Иеговы;

30 `Не возжелали совета Моего; презирали всякое учение Мое.

31 `И будут есть плоды пути своего, и насыщаться своими вымыслами.

32 `Так! непокорность невежд убьет их, и беспечность глупых погубит их.

33 `А слушающий Меня живет безопасно и мирно, не страшась зла`.

Proverbs

Chapter 1

1 THE proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

3 To receive discipline, reverence, righteousness, and justice, and equity;

4 To give subtlety to the simple, to the young men knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will listen and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to leadership;

6 To understand proverbs and figures of speech; the words of the wise and their dark sayings.

7 The reverence of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise knowledge and instruction.

8 Hear, my son, the ordinance of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother;

9 For they shall be an ornament of grace for your head and a necklace about your neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice you, consent not.

11 If they say to you, Come with us, let us lie in wait to shed blood, let us lie in wait for the innocent, wrongfully;

12 Let us swallow them up alive, as Sheol swallows the living, and whole as those who go down into the pit;

13 We shall find all his wealth and precious things, we shall fill our houses with spoil;

14 Cast in your lot with us; let us all have one purse;

15 My son, do not walk in the way with them; but refrain your foot from their path;

16 For their feet run to evil, they make haste to shed blood.

17 Surely in deceit is the net spread in the sight of any bird.

18 And they lie in wait, they hide themselves to shed blood.

19 Such are the ways of all who practice iniquity, who take away the life of their owners.

20 Wisdom is glorified in the market places; she raises her voice in the streets:

21 She preaches in the chief places of the concourse; in the openings of the gates of the city, she utters her words, saying,

22 How long, you simple ones, will you love childishness? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

23 If you will turn to my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words to you.

24 For I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and you did not listen:

25 But you have despised all my counsels, and you were not pleased with my reproof.

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will rejoice when terror and sudden destruction come upon you;

27 When your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish come upon you,

28 Then they shall call upon me, but I will not answer them; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me;

29 Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the worship of the LORD.

30 They were not pleased with my counsels; they rejected all of my reproof.

31 Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own ways and be filled with their own devices.

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the error of the weak-minded men shall destroy them.

33 But he who listens to me shall live in hope, and shall refrain from many evils.

1 Притчи Соломона, сына Давидова, Царя Израилева:	1 THE proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
2 Чтобы познать премудрость и образованность, чтобы изучить изречения разума,	2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 Принять правило здравого смысла, верности, и правосудия, и благонравия,	3 To receive discipline, reverence, righteousness, and justice, and equity;
4 Чтобы неопытным дать прозорливость, юноше - знание и рассудительность,	4 To give subtlety to the simple, to the young men knowledge and discretion.
5 Послушает мудрый, и умножит сведения, - и разумный приобретет советы;	5 A wise man will listen and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to leadership;
6 Чтобы разуметь притчу, и слово замысловатое, беседы мудрых и загадочные изречения их.	6 To understand proverbs and figures of speech; the words of the wise and their dark sayings.

8 Слушай, сын мой, наставление отца твоего; и не отвергай учение матери твоей.	8 Hear, my son, the ordinance of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother;

10 Сын мой, если будут уговаривать тебя законопреступники, то не соизволяй.	10 My son, if sinners entice you, consent not.
11 Если скажут: `иди с нами, будем строить ковы, ради кровопролития; будем скрытно уловлять безмездно-невинного;	11 If they say to you, Come with us, let us lie in wait to shed blood, let us lie in wait for the innocent, wrongfully;
12 `Будем глотать их живыми, как преисподняя, и целыми, как отходят в могилу;	12 Let us swallow them up alive, as Sheol swallows the living, and whole as those who go down into the pit;

15 Сын мой, не ходи по одной с ними дороге; удержи ногу свою от стези их.	15 My son, do not walk in the way with them; but refrain your foot from their path;
16 Ибо ноги их к злу бегут, когда спешат, чтобы проливать кровь.	16 For their feet run to evil, they make haste to shed blood.
17 Ибо та сеть без пользы расстилается, которую расстилают в глазах всех, имеющих крылья;	17 Surely in deceit is the net spread in the sight of any bird.
18 И они на свою гибель коварствуют, скрытно ставят сети душам своим.	18 And they lie in wait, they hide themselves to shed blood.
19 Таковы пути всякого, алчущего корысти; она лишает жизни того, кто предан ей.	19 Such are the ways of all who practice iniquity, who take away the life of their owners.

22 `Невежды, доколе будете любить невежество? И развратные, долго ли разврат будет нравиться им? И глупые, долго ли будут ненавидеть ведение?	22 How long, you simple ones, will you love childishness? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 `Обратитесь к Моему учению; Се! рекою проливаю вам Дух Мой, возвещаю вам слова Мои.	23 If you will turn to my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words to you.
24 Поелику взываю, и отрицаетесь; простираю руку Мою, и нет внимающего;	24 For I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and you did not listen:
25 `И презираете всякий совет Мой, и учения Моего не желаете:	25 But you have despised all my counsels, and you were not pleased with my reproof.
26 `То и Я посмеюсь вашей беде; поругаюсь, когда придет ужас ваш,	26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will rejoice when terror and sudden destruction come upon you;
27 `Когда придет как буря ужас ваш, и гибель ваша как вихрь принесется, когда придет на вас скорбь и горе.	27 When your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish come upon you,
28 `Тогда будут звать Меня, и не отвечу; с утра будут искать Меня, и не найдут Меня,	28 Then they shall call upon me, but I will not answer them; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me;
29 `За то, что они возненавидели ведение, и не избрали страха Иеговы;	29 Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the worship of the LORD.
30 `Не возжелали совета Моего; презирали всякое учение Мое.	30 They were not pleased with my counsels; they rejected all of my reproof.
31 `И будут есть плоды пути своего, и насыщаться своими вымыслами.	31 Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own ways and be filled with their own devices.
32 `Так! непокорность невежд убьет их, и беспечность глупых погубит их.	32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the error of the weak-minded men shall destroy them.
33 `А слушающий Меня живет безопасно и мирно, не страшась зла`.	33 But he who listens to me shall live in hope, and shall refrain from many evils.
