Глава 15

1 Кроткий ответ отвращает ярость; а грубое слово усиливает гнев.

2 Язык мудрых дает ведению приятность; а уста глупых источают глупость.

3 На всяком месте очи Иеговы; они видят злых и добрых.

4 Врачующий язык есть древо жизни; а разврат в нем - крушение в духе.

5 Глупый презирает наставление отца своего, а кто держится увещания, тот будет благоразумен.

6 В доме праведного много имения; а в прибытке нечестивого есть беспокойное нечто.

7 Уста умных сыплют ведение; а сердце глупых - совсем не то.

8 Жертва беззаконных противна Иегове; а молитва праведников приятна Ему.

9 Противен Иегове путь беззаконного; а ищущего праведности Он любит.

10 Злое наказание тому, кто оставит стезю; умрет ненавидящий обличение.

11 Преисподняя и Аввадон - пред Иеговою, тем паче - сердца сынов человеческих.

12 Распутный не любит, чтоб учили его; к мудрым не ходит.

13 Веселое сердце делает и лицо веселым; а при кручине сердца упадает дух.

14 Сердце разумного ищет ведения; а уста глупых услаждаются глупостью.

15 Все дни несчастного горестны; а у кого сердце весело, у того всегда пир.

16 Лучше немногое со страхом Иеговы, нежели большое сокровище, и при нем беспокойство.

17 Лучше поданная зелень на стол, и при ней дружба, нежели откормленный бык, и при нем неприязнь.

18 Вспыльчивый пробуждает раздор; а долготерпеливый утишает распрю.

19 Дорога ленивого, как терновый плетень; а стезя праводушных ровна.

20 Мудрый сын радует отца; а глупый человек не уважает матери своей.

21 Малоумному забавою служит глупое, а человек с разумом ходит прямо.

22 Без совещания предприятия разрушаются; а при множестве советников устоят.

23 Радость человека в ответе уст его; и слово во время свое, как хорошо!

24 Путь жизни умного есть шествие вверх, чтоб удалиться от преисподней, внизу лежащей.

25 Дом гордых разрушит Иегова, а межу вдовы крепко хранит.

26 Противны Иегове злые замыслы, а слова дружелюбия чисты.

27 Корыстолюбец расстроивает дом свой; а не любящий подарков живет благополучно.

28 Сердце праведного подумав отвечает; а уста беззаконных рекою льют худое.

29 Далек Иегова от беззаконных, а молитву праведных слышит.

30 Свет очей радует сердце; добрая весть утучняет кости.

31 Ухо слушающее учение жизни будет пребывать среди мудрых.

32 Отвергающий образование презирает душу свою, а слушающий увещания приобретает мудрое сердце.

33 Страх Иеговы есть наука премудрости; и славе предтеча смирение.
