Глава 8

1 Не Премудрость ли взывает к вам? Не здравомыслия ли голос громкий

2 звучит с вершин холмов? У дорог и на перепутьях стоит Премудрость;

3 подле ворот, у входа в город восклицает она:

4 «К вам, о люди, я взываю, к роду человеческому — мой призыв!

5 О несмышленые, научитесь же проницательности, и вы, люди глупые, — пониманию.

6 Внимайте мне: о самом главном я буду говорить, на устах моих — правда,

7 язык мой истину изрекает, устам моим ненавистна неправда.

8 Все речи мои — праведны, нет в них ни кривды, ни лукавства.

9 Понятны они человеку разумному, тому, кто ищет знание, — ясны.

10 Наставление мое серебру предпочтите, а знание — золоту отборному,

11 ибо мудрость лучше жемчугов, не сравнится с ней никакая прихоть.

12 Я — Премудрость, с проницательностью неразлучна; обладаю прозорливостью и знанием.

13 Благоговение пред ГОСПОДОМ — в непримиримости к злу. Спесь и гордыню, лживый язык и злые поступки я ненавижу.

14 У меня совет, у меня и удача, со мной здравомыслие и сила.

15 Цари мною царствуют и правители слагают законы справедливые,

16 владыки мною правят, вожди и все, кто правый суд вершит.

17 Кто возлюбил меня, того и я люблю, и кто взыскует меня, меня обретет.

18 Со мною слава и богатство, праведность и долгое благоденствие.

19 Плод мой прекраснее золота, золота самого чистого, и дохода от меня гораздо больше, чем от серебра отборного.

20 По пути праведности я иду, по стезям справедливости,

21 чтобы одарить благом любящих меня и сокровищницы их наполнить.

22 ГОСПОДЬ обладал мною в начале пути Своего, прежде деяний Своих искони.

23 Я существую вечно, изначально, прежде, чем земля обрела свое бытие.

24 Я родилась, когда не было еще первоначальной бездны и источников ее, исторгающих воду,

25 прежде чем были воздвигнуты горы, прежде холмов я возникла.

26 Тогда еще не создал Он ни земли, ни полей, ни первых пылинок вселенной.

27 Когда Он утверждал небеса, я была там. Когда Он чертил круг по поверхности бездны,

28 когда водружал облака сверху, укрощал источники бездны,

29 указывал морю предел его, который воды его переступить не могут, когда закладывал основания земли,

30 я была при Нем искусной художницей, ликованием Его была ежедневным, перед Ним я радовалась непрестанно.

31 Радовалась я всему Его обитаемому миру, ликовала о всем роде людском.

32 И теперь, дети, послушайте меня! Благо тем, кто держится моего пути!

33 Внимайте наставленью — и вы будете мудры, не пренебрегайте им.

34 Благо тому, кто меня слушает, кто у дверей моих все дни проводит, стоит на страже у порога моего.

35 Кто обрел меня — обрел жизнь и снискал благосклонность ГОСПОДА.

36 А кто против меня грешит — себе самому вредит. Все ненавидящие меня смерть возлюбили».

4 To you, O men,376 I call;7121 and my voice6963 is to the sons1121 of man.120

5 O you simple,6612 understand995 wisdom:6195 and, you fools,3684 be you of an understanding995 heart.3820

6 Hear;8085 for I will speak1696 of excellent5057 things; and the opening4669 of my lips8193 shall be right4339 things.

7 For my mouth2441 shall speak1897 truth;571 and wickedness7562 is an abomination8441 to my lips.8193

31 Rejoicing7832 in the habitable8398 part of his earth;776 and my delights8191 were with the sons1121 of men.120

12 Я — Премудрость, с проницательностью неразлучна; обладаю прозорливостью и знанием.

13 Благоговение пред ГОСПОДОМ — в непримиримости к злу. Спесь и гордыню, лживый язык и злые поступки я ненавижу.
