Chapter 5

1 THIS is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God created he him;

2 Male and female he created them; and God blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth;

4 And Adam lived after he had begotten Seth eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.

5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh;

7 And Seth lived after he begot Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters;

8 And all the days of Seth were pine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan;

10 And Enosh lived after he begot Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters;

11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahlalael;

13 And Cainan lived after he begot Mahlalael eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters;

14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

15 And Mahlalael lived sixty and five years, and begot Jared;

16 And Mahlalael lived after he begot Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.

17 And all the days of Mahlalael were eight hundred ninety and five years, and he died.

18 And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and he begot Enoch:

19 And Jared lived after he begot Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters;

20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years, and he died.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begot Methuselah;

22 And Enoch found favor in the presence of God three hundred years after he begot Methuselah, and begot sons and daughters;

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years;

24 And Enoch found favor in the presence of God, and disappeared; for God took him away.

25 And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech;

26 And Methuselah lived after he begot Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters;

27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.

28 And Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years, and begot a son;

29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.

30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.

31 Thus all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.

32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

2 Мужчину и женщину сотворил их, и благословил их, и нарек им имя: человек, в день сотворения их.

3 И жил Адам сто тридцать лет, и родил сына по подобию своему, по образу своему, и нарек ему имя: Сиф.

4 И было дней Адама по рождении Сифа восемь сот лет, и родил он сынов и дочерей.

5 Всех же дней жизни Адамовой было девять сот тридцать лет; и он умер.

6 И жил Сиф сто пять лет, и родил Эноса.

7 И жил Сиф по рождении Эноса восемь сот семь лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

8 Всех же дней Сифовых было девять сот двенадцать лет; и он умер.

9 И жил Энос девяносто лет, и родил Каинана.

10 И жил Энос по рождении Каинана восемь сот пятнадцать лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

11 Всех же дней Эноса было девять сот пять лет; и он умер.

12 И жил Каинан семьдесят лет, и родил Малелеила.

13 И жил Каинан по рождении Малелеила восемь сот сорок лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

14 Всех же дней Каинана было девять сот десять лет; и он умер.

15 И жил Малелеил шестьдесят пять лет; и родил Иареда.

16 И жил Малелеил по рождении Иареда восемь сот тридцать лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

17 Всех же дней Малелеила было восемь сот девяносто пять лет; и он умер.

18 И жил Иаред сто шестьдесят два года, и родил Эноха.

19 И жил Иаред по рождении Эноха восемь сот лет; и родил сынов и дочерей.

20 Всех же дней Иареда было девять сот шестьдесят два года; и он умер.

21 И жил Энох шестьдесят пять лет, и родил Мафусала.

22 И ходил Энох с Богом, по рождении Мафусала, триста лет; и родил сынов и дочерей.

23 Всех же лет Эноха было триста шестьдесят пять лет.

24 И ходил Энох с Богом; и не стало его, потому что Бог взял его.

25 И жил Мафусал сто восемьдесят семь лет; и родил Ламеха.

26 И жил Мафусал по рождении Ламеха семь сот восемьдесят два года, и родил сынов и дочерей.

27 Всех же дней Мафусала было девять сот шестьдесят девять лет; и он умер.

28 И жил Ламех сто восемьдесят два года, и родил сына.

29 И нарек ему имя: Ной, сказав: он облегчит нас от работы нашей и от изнурения рук наших при возделывании земли, которую проклял Иегова.

30 И жил Ламех по рождении Ноя пять сот девяносто пять лет; и родил сынов и дочерей.

31 Всех же дней Ламеха было семь сот семьдесят семь лет; и он умер.

32 И было Ною пять сот лет от рождения, и родил Ной Сима, Хама и Иафета.

9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan;

9 И жил Энос девяносто лет, и родил Каинана.

10 And Enosh lived after he begot Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters;

10 И жил Энос по рождении Каинана восемь сот пятнадцать лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahlalael;

12 И жил Каинан семьдесят лет, и родил Малелеила.

13 And Cainan lived after he begot Mahlalael eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters;

13 И жил Каинан по рождении Малелеила восемь сот сорок лет, и родил сынов и дочерей.

14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

15 And Mahlalael lived sixty and five years, and begot Jared;

16 And Mahlalael lived after he begot Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.

20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years, and he died.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begot Methuselah;

21 И жил Энох шестьдесят пять лет, и родил Мафусала.

22 And Enoch found favor in the presence of God three hundred years after he begot Methuselah, and begot sons and daughters;

22 И ходил Энох с Богом, по рождении Мафусала, триста лет; и родил сынов и дочерей.

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years;

24 And Enoch found favor in the presence of God, and disappeared; for God took him away.

26 And Methuselah lived after he begot Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters;

27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.

27 Всех же дней Мафусала было девять сот шестьдесят девять лет; и он умер.

28 And Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years, and begot a son;

28 И жил Ламех сто восемьдесят два года, и родил сына.
