3 The LORD3068 shall cut off3772 all3605 flattering2513 lips,8193 and the tongue3956 that speaketh1696 proud things: 1419

4 Who834 have said,559 With our tongue3956 will we prevail;1396 our lips8193 are our own: who4310 is lord113 over us?

5 For the oppression4480 7701 of the poor,6041 for the sighing4480 603 of the needy,34 now6258 will I arise,6965 saith559 the LORD;3068 I will set7896 him in safety3468 from him that puffeth6315 at him.

2 Доки, Господи, бу́деш мене забувати наза́вжди, доки будеш ховати від ме́не обличчя Своє?

3 Як довго я буду складати в душі своїй болі, у серці своїм — щодня сму́ток? Як довго мій ворог підно́ситись буде над мене?

4 Зглянься, озвися до мене, о Господи, Боже мій! Просвітли мої очі, щоб на смерть не заснув я!

5 Щоб мій не́приятель не сказав: „Я його переміг!“ Щоб мої вороги не раділи, як я захита́юсь!

6 Я надію на милість Твою поклада́ю, моє серце радіє спасі́нням Твоїм! Я буду співати Господе́ві, бо Він доброді́йство для мене вчинив.
