Chapter 22

2 And if518 thy brother251 be not3808 nigh7138 unto413 thee, or if thou know3045 him not,3808 then thou shalt bring622 it unto413 8432 thine own house,1004 and it shall be1961 with5973 thee until5704 thy brother251 seek after1875 it, and thou shalt restore7725 it to him again.

3 In like manner3651 shalt thou do6213 with his ass;2543 and so3651 shalt thou do6213 with his raiment;8071 and with all3605 lost thing9 of thy brother's,251 which834 he hath lost,6 and thou hast found,4672 shalt thou do6213 likewise:3651 thou mayest3201 not3808 hide thyself.5956

15 Then shall the father1 of the damsel,5291 and her mother,517 take3947 and bring forth3318 853 the tokens of the damsel's5291 virginity1331 unto413 the elders2205 of the city5892 in the gate: 8179

16 And the damsel's5291 father1 shall say559 unto413 the elders,2205 I gave5414 853 my daughter1323 unto this2088 man376 to wife,802 and he hateth8130 her;

17 And, lo,2009 he1931 hath given7760 occasions5949 of speech1697 against her, saying,559 I found4672 not3808 thy daughter1323 a maid;1331 and yet these428 are the tokens of my daughter's1323 virginity.1331 And they shall spread6566 the cloth8071 before6440 the elders2205 of the city.5892

18 And the elders2205 of that1931 city5892 shall take3947 853 that man376 and chastise3256 him;

19 And they shall amerce6064 him in a hundred3967 shekels of silver,3701 and give5414 them unto the father1 of the damsel,5291 because3588 he hath brought up3318 an evil7451 name8034 upon5921 a virgin1330 of Israel:3478 and she shall be1961 his wife;802 he may3201 not3808 put her away7971 all3605 his days.3117

20 But if518 this2088 thing1697 be1961 true,571 and the tokens of virginity1331 be not3808 found4672 for the damsel: 5291

21 Then they shall bring out3318 853 the damsel5291 to413 the door6607 of her father's1 house,1004 and the men376 of her city5892 shall stone5619 her with stones68 that she die:4191 because3588 she hath wrought6213 folly5039 in Israel,3478 to play the whore2181 in her father's1 house:1004 so shalt thou put evil away1197 7451 from among4480 7130 you.

22 If3588 a man376 be found4672 lying7901 with5973 a woman802 married1166 to a husband,1167 then they shall both1571 8147 of them die,4191 both the man376 that lay7901 with5973 the woman,802 and the woman:802 so shalt thou put away1197 evil7451 from Israel.4480 3478

23 If3588 a damsel5291 that is a virgin1330 be1961 betrothed781 unto a husband,376 and a man376 find4672 her in the city,5892 and lie7901 with5973 her;

1 Если ты увидишь заблудившегося быка или овцу брата твоего, израильтянина, не делай вид, что ты не замечаешь их, — отведи их к хозяину.

2 Если же брат этот живет далеко от тебя или ты не знаешь, кому принадлежит эта скотина, возьми ее к себе, подержи у себя, пока о ней не спросит тот, кому ты должен вернуть ее.

3 Делай то же самое и с его ослом, и с одеждой, и всем тем, что пропало у брата твоего, а ты нашел. Ты не должен оставаться безучастным!

4 И если увидишь, что упал где-то на дороге осел или вол брата твоего, не будь безучастен, помоги ему поставить животное на ноги.

5 На женщине не должно быть мужской одежды, а на мужчине — женской. Всякий, кто это делает, мерзок ГОСПОДУ, Богу вашему.

6 Если заметишь птичье гнездо у дороги, на дереве оно или на земле, с птенцами или яйцами в нем, и мать на гнезде, не бери эту птицу вместе с выводком или кладкой ее.

7 Птенцов забрать можешь, а мать непременно отпусти. Поступай так, чтобы жил ты в благополучии и наслаждался долгою жизнью.

8 Когда строишь новый дом, непременно сделай по краю крыши ограждение, дабы не свалился кто-нибудь с нее и не пала вина за пролитую кровь на твой дом.

9 В винограднике своем не сей между его рядами двух разных видов семян, иначе лишишься всего урожая — и урожая посеянных тобой семян, и плодов винограда.

10 На воле и осле, впряженных в одно ярмо, не паши.

11 Не носи одежду из ткани, в которую вплетены нити и шерсти, и льна.

12 Ты должен прикрепить кисти к четырем углам одежд, которыми покрываешься.

13 Положим, кто-то женился, но, проведя брачную ночь с женой, невзлюбил ее,

14 стал обвинять и пустил худую молву о ней: „Я взял ее в жены, но в первую же ночь увидел, что не сохранила она девственности своей“,

15 пусть тогда отец и мать новобрачной принесут к городским воротам доказательства ее девственности и предъявят старейшинам.

16 При этом ее отец скажет старейшинам: „Дочь свою отдал я в жены этому человеку, но он невзлюбил ее

17 и теперь выдумывает против нее обвинения: „Не нашел-де я у дочери твоей доказательств невинности ее“. Но вот они, доказательства эти“. И пусть принесенный ими кусок ткани или соответствующую одежду развернут перед старейшинами города.

18 А старейшины должны тогда наказать человека того:

19 пусть взыщут с него сто шекелей серебра и отдадут их отцу ее за то, что человек этот пустил худую молву об израильской девушке. Она же так и останется его женой, и никогда не получит он права развестись с ней.

20 Но если обвинение окажется верным и не найдется никаких доказательств ее девственности,

21 пусть приведут эту молодую женщину к дверям дома ее отца. Здесь мужчины города должны будут побить ее камнями до смерти, ибо постыдно вела она себя в Израиле: предавалась разврату в доме отца своего. Злу этому не место среди вас, искорените его!

22 Если мужчину застали прелюбодействующим с замужней женщиной, их обоих — и женщину, и лежавшего с ней мужчину — нужно предать смерти. Вы должны искоренить это зло в Израиле!

23 Если какой-то мужчина, встретившись в городе с девственницей, обрученной с кем-то другим, переспит с ней,

24 ведите их обоих к городским воротам и там насмерть побейте камнями — девушку за то, что не звала она на помощь, хотя дело было в городе, а мужчину за то, что он обесчестил невесту одного из ближних своих. Злу этому не место среди вас, искорените его!

25 Если же какой-то мужчина надругается над обрученной девушкой, встретив ее в поле, то смерти должно предать только мужчину, совершившего насилие.

26 Девушке никакого наказания: она не совершила преступления, караемого смертью. Это подобно тому, как если бы кто напал на ближнего и убил его.

27 Насильник встретился с ней в поле, и, кричи она не кричи, некому было спасти ее.

28 Но когда встретит какой-нибудь мужчина девушку, не обрученную еще, и надругается над ней и их застанут,

29 этот мужчина обязан будет отдать отцу девушки пятьдесят шекелей серебра, а ее взять в жены. И никогда не получит он права развестись с ней, так как он изнасиловал ее.

30 И еще: никто не должен жениться на женщине, с которой жил его отец; не должен он бесчестить ложе отца своего.

6 Если заметишь птичье гнездо у дороги, на дереве оно или на земле, с птенцами или яйцами в нем, и мать на гнезде, не бери эту птицу вместе с выводком или кладкой ее.

7 Птенцов забрать можешь, а мать непременно отпусти. Поступай так, чтобы жил ты в благополучии и наслаждался долгою жизнью.

9 В винограднике своем не сей между его рядами двух разных видов семян, иначе лишишься всего урожая — и урожая посеянных тобой семян, и плодов винограда.

10 На воле и осле, впряженных в одно ярмо, не паши.

11 Не носи одежду из ткани, в которую вплетены нити и шерсти, и льна.

15 пусть тогда отец и мать новобрачной принесут к городским воротам доказательства ее девственности и предъявят старейшинам.

16 При этом ее отец скажет старейшинам: „Дочь свою отдал я в жены этому человеку, но он невзлюбил ее

17 и теперь выдумывает против нее обвинения: „Не нашел-де я у дочери твоей доказательств невинности ее“. Но вот они, доказательства эти“. И пусть принесенный ими кусок ткани или соответствующую одежду развернут перед старейшинами города.

20 Но если обвинение окажется верным и не найдется никаких доказательств ее девственности,

22 Если мужчину застали прелюбодействующим с замужней женщиной, их обоих — и женщину, и лежавшего с ней мужчину — нужно предать смерти. Вы должны искоренить это зло в Израиле!

23 If3588 a damsel5291 that is a virgin1330 be1961 betrothed781 unto a husband,376 and a man376 find4672 her in the city,5892 and lie7901 with5973 her;

23 Если какой-то мужчина, встретившись в городе с девственницей, обрученной с кем-то другим, переспит с ней,

25 Если же какой-то мужчина надругается над обрученной девушкой, встретив ее в поле, то смерти должно предать только мужчину, совершившего насилие.

26 But unto the damsel5291 thou shalt do6213 nothing;3808 1697 there is in the damsel5291 no369 sin2399 worthy of death:4194 for3588 as834 when a man376 riseth6965 against5921 his neighbor,7453 and slayeth7523 5315 him, even so3651 is this2088 matter: 1697

26 Девушке никакого наказания: она не совершила преступления, караемого смертью. Это подобно тому, как если бы кто напал на ближнего и убил его.

27 For3588 he found4672 her in the field,7704 and the betrothed781 damsel5291 cried,6817 and there was none369 to save3467 her.

27 Насильник встретился с ней в поле, и, кричи она не кричи, некому было спасти ее.

28 Но когда встретит какой-нибудь мужчина девушку, не обрученную еще, и надругается над ней и их застанут,

30 A man376 shall not3808 take3947 853 his father's1 wife,802 nor3808 discover1540 his father's1 skirt.3671

30 И еще: никто не должен жениться на женщине, с которой жил его отец; не должен он бесчестить ложе отца своего.
