18 As in the overthrow4114 of Sodom5467 and Gomorrah6017 and the neighbor7934 cities5892 thereof, said559 the LORD,3068 no3808 man376 shall abide3427 there,8033 neither3808 shall a son1121 of man120 dwell1481 in it.

3 «Плачьте, люди Есевона, потому что город Гай уничтожен. Женщины Раввы, плачьте, наденьте одежды печали, спрячьтесь в городе, жизнь свою спасая, потому что враг пленил бога Милхома вместе с его священниками и князьями.
4 Вы хвалитесь вашей силой, но с каждым часом становитесь всё слабее. Вы думаете, что ваши деньги могут вас спасти и что никто не намеревался на вас напасть?
5 Но Я принесу несчастья со всех окрестных земель, — говорит Господь, Бог Всемогущий, — и вы побежите, и никто вас вместе не соберёт.
6 Народ аммонитян будет пленён, но придёт время, когда Я приведу аммонитян назад». Так говорит Господь.
7 Эта весть — о земле Едома. Говорит Господь Всемогущий: «Разве больше нет мудрости в Фемане? Разве не стало способных дать добрый совет, разве мудрость утратили они?
8 Жители Дедана, бегите и в убежищах прячьтесь, поскольку Я накажу Исава за его злые дела.
9 Сборщики винограда урожай собирают, но они оставят на лозах несколько виноградных гроздьев. Если воры приходят ночью, они не всё забирают,
10 но Я у Исава всё заберу. Я найду все его тайные убежища, никто не спрячется от Меня: умрут все его дети, родственники и соседи,
11 осиротеют дети, и не на кого будет надеяться жёнам».
12 Вот что говорит Господь: «Некоторые не заслужили наказания, но и они страдают. Ты же, Едом, заслужил наказание и не избежишь его.
13 Господь говорит: „Моей силой Я исполню это обещание, Я уничтожу город Восор, превратив его в руины. Он станет людям примером, когда они будут просить о бедах на другие города. Люди будут его презирать, и все города вокруг Восора превратятся в вечные руины”».
14 Я от Господа слышал весть, Господь послал к чужим народам вестника. Вот эта весть: «Собирайте ваши войска, будьте готовы к битве, выступите против Едома.
15 Тебя Я сделаю, Едом, малым между народами и презрением между людьми.
16 Ты, Едом, напугал другие народы и думал, что ты очень важен, но ты одурачил сам себя, твоя гордость тебя обманула. Едом, ты на холмах распростёрся, защищённый неприступными скалами, но даже если бы были дома твои выше орлиных гнёзд, Я бы и оттуда тебя низверг». Так говорит Господь:
17 «И будет Едом уничтожен, будут люди потрясены, увидев разрушенные города, от удивления присвистнет любой.
18 Будет Едом разрушен словно Содом и Гоморра, а также города вокруг них, и никто в них не будет жить.
19 Порою выходит лев из густых кустов на берегах Иордана и направляется на пастбища, где пасутся стада. Я как лев пойду в Едом и напугаю его людей. Я заставлю их бежать, и никто из вождей не остановит Меня. Нет подобного Мне, никто не решится Мне противостоять! Ни один пастырь не устоит против Меня!
20 Итак, послушай, что Бог задумал сделать с людьми Едома, как Он решил поступить с жителями Фемана. Враг из стада Едома самых малых утащит, и все пастбища ужаснутся тому, что случится.
21 Вся земля содрогнётся от падения Едома, и плач будет слышен до самого Красного моря.
22 Господь будет подобен орлу, который кружит над добычей, словно орёл, простерший крылья над Восором. От страха воины Едома будут плакать, как плачут женщины во время родов».
23 Эта весть — о Дамаске: «Напуганы города Емаф и Арпад, услышав плохие новости, и нет им успокоения.
24 Дамаск ослабел, люди готовы обратиться в бегство, охваченные болью и муками, как будто женщина во время родов.
25 Почему не оставили люди Дамаск, этот счастливый город веселья?
26 На площадях и улицах падут его юноши, в тот день погибнут все его воины». Так говорит Господь:
27 «Я подожгу стены Дамаска, и обратятся в пепел укрепления Венадада».
28 Эта весть — о роде Кедара и о правителях Асора, которых победил царь Вавилона Навуходоносор. Так говорит Господь: «Пойдите войною на род Кедара, уничтожьте людей Востока.
29 Их шатры будут захвачены, их богатство унесено, а враги заберут верблюдов. Будут люди им кричать: „Вокруг нас творится ужас!”
30 Бегите скорее, люди Асора, найдите надёжное место для укрытия». Так говорит Господь: «Царь Навуходоносор придумал коварный план, чтобы вас победить.
31 Есть народ, живущий в безопасности, он беспечен: ни стен, ни ворот нет у него, и никто рядом с ним не живёт. Поэтому Господь говорит: „Нападите на этот народ!”
32 В битве они потеряют своих верблюдов, а их многочисленные стада будут вам принадлежать. Тех людей, стригущих свои бороды, Я разбросаю по всем краям земли и наведу на них отовсюду страшные беды». Так говорит Господь:
33 «Станет земля Асора прибежищем для шакалов, люди там жить не будут, и земля навечно станет пустыней».
34 Во времена, когда царём Иудеи был Седекия, пророк Иеремия получил весть от Господа о народе Елама.
35 Так говорит Господь Всемогущий: «Я лук Елама, его главную силу, переломлю очень скоро.
36 Я на Елам направлю четыре ветра с четырёх сторон неба. Я отправлю людей Елама на четыре стороны света, где дуют четыре ветра. Пленники из Елама будут в каждой стране.
37 Я Елам на куски разломлю на глазах у врагов. Я разобью его пред всеми, кто мечтает Елам сокрушить. Я несчастья ужасные им принесу, явив им Свой гнев». Так говорит Господь: «Я меч Свой пошлю всему Еламу, пока всех до единого не истреблю.
38 Я покажу Еламу, что Мне всё подвластно: Я уничтожу его царя и всех властителей». Так говорит Господь.
39 «Но в будущем Я им добро дарую», — говорит Господь.

27 «Я подожгу стены Дамаска, и обратятся в пепел укрепления Венадада».

28 Эта весть — о роде Кедара и о правителях Асора, которых победил царь Вавилона Навуходоносор. Так говорит Господь: «Пойдите войною на род Кедара, уничтожьте людей Востока.

34 Во времена, когда царём Иудеи был Седекия, пророк Иеремия получил весть от Господа о народе Елама.

35 Так говорит Господь Всемогущий: «Я лук Елама, его главную силу, переломлю очень скоро.
36 And on Elam5867 will I bring935 the four702 winds7307 from the four702 quarters7098 of heaven,8064 and will scatter2219 them toward all3605 those428 winds;7307 and there shall be no3808 nation1471 where8348033 the outcasts5080 of Elam5867 shall not come.935
36 Я на Елам направлю четыре ветра с четырёх сторон неба. Я отправлю людей Елама на четыре стороны света, где дуют четыре ветра. Пленники из Елама будут в каждой стране.

37 Я Елам на куски разломлю на глазах у врагов. Я разобью его пред всеми, кто мечтает Елам сокрушить. Я несчастья ужасные им принесу, явив им Свой гнев». Так говорит Господь: «Я меч Свой пошлю всему Еламу, пока всех до единого не истреблю.
38 And I will set7760 my throne3678 in Elam,5867 and will destroy6 from there8033 the king4428 and the princes,8269 said5002 the LORD.3068
38 Я покажу Еламу, что Мне всё подвластно: Я уничтожу его царя и всех властителей». Так говорит Господь.
39 But it shall come1961 to pass in the latter319 days,3117 that I will bring7725 again7725 the captivity7622 of Elam,5867 said5002 the LORD.3068
39 «Но в будущем Я им добро дарую», — говорит Господь.
