2 Und er5414 weinete laut8085, daß es die Ägypter4714 und das8085 Gesinde1004 Pharaos6547 höreten.

3 und3130 sprach559 zu seinen Brüdern251: Ich bin Joseph3130. Lebet mein Vater1 noch? Und seine Brüder251 konnten3201 ihm nicht antworten6030, so erschraken926 sie vor6440 seinem Angesicht.

4 Er3130 sprach559 aber zu seinen Brüdern251: Tretet doch her5066 zu mir! Und sie traten herzu5066. Und er sprach559: ich bin Joseph3130, euer Bruder251, den ihr in Ägypten4714 verkauft4376 habt.

5 Und nun bekümmert euch6087 nicht und denket nicht, daß ich darum zürne2734, daß ihr mich7971 hieher verkauft4376 habt; denn um eures Lebens4241 willen hat mich6440 GOtt430 vor5869 euch hergesandt.

6 Denn dies sind zwei Jahre8141, daß es teuer7458 im7130 Lande776 ist, und sind noch fünf2568 Jahre8141, daß kein369 Pflügen2758 noch Ernten7105 sein wird.

7 Aber GOtt430 hat7760 mich7971 vor euch hergesandt, daß er2421 euch übrig7611 behalte auf6440 Erden776 und euer Leben errette durch eine große1419 Errettung6413.

8 Und nun, ihr habt mich7971 nicht hergesandt, sondern GOtt430, der hat mich Pharao6547 zum Vater1 gesetzt7760 und zum Herrn113 über all sein4910 Haus1004 und einen Fürsten in ganz Ägyptenland776.

9 Eilet4116 nun und559 ziehet hinauf5927 zu meinem Vater1 und saget ihm: Das läßt dir Joseph3130, dein Sohn1121, sagen559: GOtt430 hat7760 mich zum Herrn113 in ganz Ägypten4714 gesetzet; komm herab3381 zu mir, säume5975 dich nicht!

10 Du sollst im Lande776 Gosen1657 wohnen3427 und1121 nahe bei7138 mir sein, du und1121 deine Kinder1121 und6629 deine Kindeskinder, dein klein und groß Vieh1241 und alles, was du hast.

11 Ich will dich daselbst versorgen3557; denn es sind noch fünf2568 Jahre8141 der Teurung; auf daß du nicht verderbest3423 mit deinem Hause1004 und allem, das du hast.

12 Siehe, eure Augen5869 sehen7200, und die Augen5869 meines Bruders251 Benjamin1144, daß ich mündlich6310 mit euch rede1696.

13 Verkündiget5046 meinem Vater1 alle meine Herrlichkeit3519 in Ägypten4714 und alles, was ihr gesehen7200 habt; eilet4116 und kommt3381 hernieder mit meinem Vater1 hieher!

14 Und er fiel5307 seinem Bruder251 Benjamin1144 um den Hals6677 und weinete; und Benjamin1144 weinete auch an seinem Halse6677.

19 Und gebeut6680 ihnen: Tut ihm also, nehmet3947 zu6213 euch aus Ägyptenland776 Wagen5699 zu euren Kindern2945 und Weibern802 und führet5375 euren Vater1 und kommt935.

20 Und sehet5869 euren Hausrat3627 nicht an, denn die Güter2898 des ganzen Landes776 Ägypten4714 sollen euer sein.

21 Die Kinder1121 Israels3478 taten6213 also. Und5414 Joseph3130 gab5414 ihnen Wagen5699 nach dem Befehl6310 Pharaos6547 und Zehrung6720 auf den Weg1870.

22 Und3967 gab5414 ihnen allen, einem jeglichen376, ein Feierkleid2487; aber Benjamin1144 gab5414 er dreihundert7969 Silberlinge3701 und fünf2568 Feierkleider2487.

23 Und seinem Vater1 sandte7971 er dabei2063 zehn6235 Esel2543, mit Gut2898 aus Ägypten4714 beladen5375, und zehn6235 Eselinnen860 mit Getreide1250 und Brot3899 und Speise4202 seinem Vater1 auf5375 den Weg1870.

24 Also ließ7971 er7971 seine Brüder251, und sie zogen hin3212; und sprach559 zu ihnen: Zanket7264 nicht auf dem Wege1870!

25 Also zogen sie hinauf5927 von Ägypten4714 und kamen935 ins Land776 Kanaan3667 zu ihrem Vater1 Jakob3290.

26 Und776 verkündigten5046 ihm und sprachen559: Joseph3130 lebet noch und ist ein Herr im ganzen Ägyptenlande. Aber sein4910 Herz3820 dachte gar viel anders6313, denn er2416 glaubte539 ihnen nicht.

27 Da sagten sie ihm alle Worte1697 Josephs, die er zu ihnen gesagt hatte1696. Und da er sah7200 die Wagen5699, die ihm Joseph3130 gesandt7971 hatte1696, ihn3130 zuführen, ward5375 der Geist7307 Jakobs3290, ihres Vaters1, lebendig2421.

28 Und Israel3478 sprach559: Ich habe genug7227, daß mein Sohn1121 Joseph3130 noch lebet; ich will7200 hin3212 und ihn sehen, ehe ich sterbe4191.

Chapter 45

1 THEN Joseph could no longer control his emotions before all those who stood in his presence; and he said, Cause everyone to go out from me. And there remained no one with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

2 And he wept aloud; and the Egyptians and the household of Pharaoh heard it.

3 And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph your brother; is my father still alive? But his brothers could not answer him because they were afraid at his presence.

4 And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me; and they came near. And he said to them, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to the Egyptians.

5 Now do not be grieved, nor displeased with yourselves, that you sold me here; for it was to provide for you that God sent me before you.

6 For behold the famine has been in the land for two years; and yet there are five years, in which there will be no one that sows or that reaps.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a remnant on the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord over all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

9 Hasten, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord over all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay;

10 And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have;

11 And there I will provide for you; for the famine will yet last five years more; lest you, your household, and all that you have perish.

12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

13 And you must tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all that you have seen; and you shall hasten and bring down my father here.

14 Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them; and after that, his brothers talked with him.

16 And the news of their meeting was reported in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brothers are come; and the news pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this: load your beasts with wheat, and go, and carry it to the land of Canaan;

18 And take your father and your households, and come to me; and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat of the fat of the land.

19 Behold, you are the governor; say to your brothers, Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your wives and for your little ones, and bring your father, and come.

20 And do not regard your stuff which you leave behind; for the choicest of all the land of Egypt is yours.

21 And the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.

22 To all of them he gave each man two pairs of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five pairs of garments.

23 And to his father he sent after this manner: ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses laden with wheat, wine, and provisions for his father's journey.

24 So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, Quarrel not on the journey.

25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.

26 And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. But Jacob disregarded their story, for he did not believe them.

27 And they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them; and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, their father Jacob was content.

28 And he said, This is great news for me, for my son Joseph is still alive; I will go and see him before I die.

9 Hasten, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord over all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay;
