4 Und1320 die häßlichen7451 und4758 magern fraßen398 die sieben7651 schönen4758 fetten1277 Kühe6510. Da erwachte3364 Pharao6547.

5 Und er schlief3462 wieder ein259, und ihm träumete abermal, und sah, daß sieben7651 Ähren7641 wuchsen5927 aus einem Halm7070, voll1277 und dick2896.

13 Und wie er uns deutete6622, so ist‘s ergangen; denn ich bin wieder7725 an mein Amt3653 gesetzt, und jener ist gehenkt8518.

15 Da sprach559 Pharao6547 zu8085 ihm: Mir hat2492 ein Traum2472 geträumet, und ist niemand, der ihn3130 deuten kann6622; ich hab aber gehört8085 von dir sagen559, wenn du einen Traum2472 hörest, so kannst du ihn deuten.

16 Joseph3130 antwortete6030 Pharao6547 und sprach559: Das stehet bei mir6030 nicht1107; GOtt430 wird doch Pharao6547 Gutes7965 weissagen.

17 Pharao6547 sagte1696 an zu Joseph3130: Mir träumete, ich5975 stund am Ufer8193 bei dem Wasser2975

18 und1320 sah aus dem Wasser2975 steigen5927 sieben7651 schöne3303 fette Kühe6510, und gingen an der Weide7462 im Grase260.

19 Und1320 nach310 ihnen sah7200 ich andere312 sieben7651 dürre1803, sehr3966 häßliche7455 und magere Kühe6510 heraussteigen5927. Ich habe in ganz Ägyptenland776 nicht7451 so2007 häßliche gesehen.

20 Und die sieben7651 mageren7534 und häßlichen7451 Kühe6510 fraßen398 auf die sieben ersten7223 fetten1277 Kühe6510.

21 Und935 da sie die hineingefressen hatten7130, merkte3045 man‘s nicht7451 an ihnen, daß sie die gefressen hatten7130, und waren935 häßlich4758, gleichwie vorhin8462. Da wachte ich auf3364.

22 Und sah7200 abermal in meinem Traum2472 sieben7651 Ähren7641 auf5927 einem259 Halm7070 wachsen, voll4392 und dick2896.

23 Danach gingen auf6779 sieben7651 dürre6798 Ähren7641, dünne und310 versenget.

24 Und die sieben7651 dünnen1851 Ähren7641 verschlangen1104 die sieben dicken2896 Ähren7641. Und ich habe es den Wahrsagern2748 gesagt559, aber die können‘s mir5046 nicht deuten.

25 Joseph3130 antwortete559 Pharao6547: Beide Träume Pharaos sind einerlei259. Denn GOtt430 verkündigt5046 Pharao, was2472 er vorhat6213.

26 Die sieben7651 schönen2896 Kühe6510 sind sieben7651 Jahre8141, und die sieben7651 guten2896 Ähren7641 sind auch die sieben7651 Jahre8141. Es ist einerlei259 Traum2472.

27 Die sieben7651 magern und häßlichen7451 Kühe6510, die nach310 jenen aufgestiegen sind5927, das sind sieben7651 Jahre8141; und die sieben7651 mageren7534 und versengeten Ähren7641 sind sieben7651 Jahre8141 teure7458 Zeit.

28 Das1697 ist7200 nun, das ich gesagt1696 habe6213 zu Pharao6547, daß GOtt430 Pharao6547 zeiget, was er vorhat.

29 Siehe, sieben7651 reiche1419 Jahre8141 werden kommen935 in ganz Ägyptenland776.

30 Und nach310 denselben werden sieben7651 Jahre8141 teure7458 Zeit kommen6965, daß man vergessen wird7911 aller solcher Fülle7647 in Ägyptenland4714; und die teure7458 Zeit wird das776 Land776 verzehren3615,

31 daß man nichts wissen3045 wird von der Fülle7647 im Lande776 vor6440 der teuren Zeit7458, die hernach kommt; denn sie3966 wird fast schwer3515 sein.

32 Daß6213 aber dem Pharao6547 zum andernmal6471 geträumet hat3559, bedeutet, daß solches1697 GOtt430 gewißlich und5973 eilend4116 tun8138 wird.

33 Nun sehe7200 Pharao6547 nach einem verständigen995 und weisen2450 Mann376, den er über Ägyptenland776 setze7896,

34 und6547 schaffe6213, daß er Amtleute6496 verordne6485 im Lande776 und nehme den Fünften2567 in8141 Ägyptenland776 in den sieben7651 reichen7647 Jahren;

35 und sammle6908 alle Speise400 der guten2896 Jahre8141, die kommen935 werden, daß sie400 Getreide1250 aufschütten6651 in Pharaos6547 Kornhäuser3027 zum Vorrat in den Städten5892 und verwahren8104 es,

41 Und weiter sprach559 Pharao6547 zu Joseph3130: Siehe7200, ich habe dich über ganz Ägyptenland776 gesetzt5414.

42 Und6547 tat5493 seinen Ring2885 von seiner Hand3027 und gab5414 ihn Joseph3130 an899 seine Hand3027; und kleidete3847 ihn mit weißer Seide und hing7760 ihm eine güldene Kette7242 an seinen Hals6677.

54 da fingen an2490 die sieben7651 teuren7458 Jahre8141 zu kommen, da Joseph3130 von gesagt559 hatte. Und es ward eine Teurung in allen Landen776, aber in ganz Ägyptenland776 war935 Brot3899.

55 Da nun das776 ganze Ägyptenland4714 auch Hunger litt7456, schrie6817 das Volk5971 zu6213 Pharao6547 um Brot3899. Aber Pharao6547 sprach559 zu allen Ägyptern4714: Gehet hin3212 zu Joseph3130; was euch der saget, das tut.

56 Als nun im ganzen Lande776 Teurung war, tat6605 Joseph3130 allenhalben Kornhäuser auf6440 und verkaufte7666 den Ägyptern4714. Denn die Teurung ward je länger je größer2388 im Lande776.

1 AND it came to pass, two years later, Pharaoh dreamed; and he was standing by the river.

2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven beautiful and fat cows; and they fed in a meadow.

3 And, behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean; and stood beside the other cows on the bank of the river.

4 And the ill-favored and lean cows ate up the seven beautiful and fat cows. So Pharaoh awoke.

5 And he slept and dreamed a second time; and, behold, seven ears of grain were growing on a single stalk, rank and good.

6 And, behold, seven thin ears blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them.

7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; so he sent and called for all the magicians and all the wise men of Egypt; and Pharaoh told them his dreams; but there was no man who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

9 Then the chief butler spoke in the presence of Pharaoh, and said, I will mention my offense today;

10 Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in the prison in the commander of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker;

11 And we dreamed dreams in the same night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

12 And there was with us a young man, a Hebrew, a servant of the commander of the guard; and we told him our dreams, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; I was restored to my position, and he was crucified.

14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon; and he shaved himself, and changed his clothes, and came in before Pharaoh.

15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it; and I have heard concerning you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.

16 And Joseph answered and said to Pharaoh, Do you think, perhaps, that without God I am able to give Pharaoh an answer that everything will be well?

17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, In my dream I was standing on the bank of the river;

18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven fat and beautiful cows; and they fed in a meadow;

19 And, behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and ill-favored and lean. I had never seen such ill-favored cows in all the land of Egypt.

20 And the lean and ill-favored cows ate up the first seven fat cows;

21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them: for they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. Then I awoke.

22 And again, I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears of grain growing on one stalk, full and good;

23 And, behold, seven other ears, thin and blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them;

24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears; and I told this to the magicians; but there was no one who could interpret these dreams to me.

25 And Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one; God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

26 The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dream is one.

27 And the seven lean and ill-favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven thin ears blasted by the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 It is the thing which I told Pharaoh; what God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

29 Behold. there are coming seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt;

30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

31 And the plenty shall not be remembered in the land because of the famine which shall follow; for it shall be very severe.

32 And as for that the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is already prepared by God, and God will hasten to bring it to pass.

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh find a discreet and wise man, and appoint him an overseer over the land of Egypt.

34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land of Egypt to take the fifth part of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven plenteous years.

35 And let them gather all the wheat of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep the grain in the towns.

36 And let the grain be kept for the land against the seven years of famine which shall come in the land of Egypt; so that the land may not perish through the famine.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find such a man as this, in whom the Spirit of God is?

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph. Forasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is none so wise and discreet as you are:

40 You shall be over my household, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled; only on the throne will I be greater than you.

41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have made you governor over all the land of Egypt.

42 Then Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck:

43 And he made him to ride in another chariot which belonged to him; and they cried before him, Father and governor! Thus he made him governor over all the land of Egypt.

44 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I Pharaoh have commanded that without your orders no man shall undertake anything in all the land of Egypt.

45 Then Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah (because the hidden things were revealed to him); and he gave him to wife Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went throughout all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47 And in the seven plenteous years the land brought forth abundantly.

48 And he gathered up all the grain of the seven plenteous years which were in the land of Egypt, and stored up the grain in towns; the grain of the fields which was round about every town he stored in the same.

49 And Joseph stored up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he was tired of numbering it; for it was without number.

50 And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore to him.

51 And Joseph called the name of his first-born Manasseh; For God, said he, has made me forget all my troubles, and all my father's house.

52 And the name of the second he called Ephraim; For God has made me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

53 And the seven years of plenty that were in the land of Egypt came to an end.

54 And the seven years of famine began to come, according as Joseph had said; and there was famine in all lands; and in all the land of Egypt there was no bread.

55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people complained against Pharaoh because of the lack of bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph; and what he says to you, do.

56 And the famine was over all the face of the land, and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians;

57 And the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. And the people from all lands came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain; because the famine was severe in all lands.

19 And, behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and ill-favored and lean. I had never seen such ill-favored cows in all the land of Egypt.

20 And the lean and ill-favored cows ate up the first seven fat cows;

21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them: for they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. Then I awoke.

22 Und sah7200 abermal in meinem Traum2472 sieben7651 Ähren7641 auf5927 einem259 Halm7070 wachsen, voll4392 und dick2896.

22 And again, I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears of grain growing on one stalk, full and good;

23 Danach gingen auf6779 sieben7651 dürre6798 Ähren7641, dünne und310 versenget.

23 And, behold, seven other ears, thin and blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them;

24 Und die sieben7651 dünnen1851 Ähren7641 verschlangen1104 die sieben dicken2896 Ähren7641. Und ich habe es den Wahrsagern2748 gesagt559, aber die können‘s mir5046 nicht deuten.

24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears; and I told this to the magicians; but there was no one who could interpret these dreams to me.

25 Joseph3130 antwortete559 Pharao6547: Beide Träume Pharaos sind einerlei259. Denn GOtt430 verkündigt5046 Pharao, was2472 er vorhat6213.

25 And Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one; God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

26 Die sieben7651 schönen2896 Kühe6510 sind sieben7651 Jahre8141, und die sieben7651 guten2896 Ähren7641 sind auch die sieben7651 Jahre8141. Es ist einerlei259 Traum2472.

26 The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dream is one.

27 Die sieben7651 magern und häßlichen7451 Kühe6510, die nach310 jenen aufgestiegen sind5927, das sind sieben7651 Jahre8141; und die sieben7651 mageren7534 und versengeten Ähren7641 sind sieben7651 Jahre8141 teure7458 Zeit.

27 And the seven lean and ill-favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven thin ears blasted by the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 It is the thing which I told Pharaoh; what God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

29 Siehe, sieben7651 reiche1419 Jahre8141 werden kommen935 in ganz Ägyptenland776.

29 Behold. there are coming seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt;

30 Und nach310 denselben werden sieben7651 Jahre8141 teure7458 Zeit kommen6965, daß man vergessen wird7911 aller solcher Fülle7647 in Ägyptenland4714; und die teure7458 Zeit wird das776 Land776 verzehren3615,

30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

31 daß man nichts wissen3045 wird von der Fülle7647 im Lande776 vor6440 der teuren Zeit7458, die hernach kommt; denn sie3966 wird fast schwer3515 sein.

31 And the plenty shall not be remembered in the land because of the famine which shall follow; for it shall be very severe.

32 Daß6213 aber dem Pharao6547 zum andernmal6471 geträumet hat3559, bedeutet, daß solches1697 GOtt430 gewißlich und5973 eilend4116 tun8138 wird.

32 And as for that the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is already prepared by God, and God will hasten to bring it to pass.

33 Nun sehe7200 Pharao6547 nach einem verständigen995 und weisen2450 Mann376, den er über Ägyptenland776 setze7896,

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh find a discreet and wise man, and appoint him an overseer over the land of Egypt.

34 und6547 schaffe6213, daß er Amtleute6496 verordne6485 im Lande776 und nehme den Fünften2567 in8141 Ägyptenland776 in den sieben7651 reichen7647 Jahren;

34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land of Egypt to take the fifth part of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven plenteous years.

35 und sammle6908 alle Speise400 der guten2896 Jahre8141, die kommen935 werden, daß sie400 Getreide1250 aufschütten6651 in Pharaos6547 Kornhäuser3027 zum Vorrat in den Städten5892 und verwahren8104 es,

35 And let them gather all the wheat of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep the grain in the towns.

36 auf daß man Speise400 verordnet6487 finde dem Lande776 in8141 den sieben7651 teuren7458 Jahren, die über Ägyptenland4714 kommen werden3772, daß nicht das776 Land776 vor Hunger7458 verderbe.

36 And let the grain be kept for the land against the seven years of famine which shall come in the land of Egypt; so that the land may not perish through the famine.

37 Die Rede1697 gefiel3190 Pharao6547 und5869 allen seinen Knechten5650 wohl.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38 Und Pharao6547 sprach559 zu seinen Knechten5650: Wie834 könnten wir einen solchen2088 Mann376 finden4672, in dem der Geist7307 Gottes430 sei?

38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find such a man as this, in whom the Spirit of God is?

39 Und6547 sprach559 zu Joseph3130: Weil dir GOtt430 solches alles hat kundgetan3045, ist keiner so verständig995 und weise2450 als310 du.

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph. Forasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is none so wise and discreet as you are:

40 Du sollst über mein Haus1004 sein1961, und deinem Wort6310 soll all mein Volk5971 gehorsam sein5401; alleine des königlichen Stuhls will ich höher sein1431 denn du.

40 You shall be over my household, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled; only on the throne will I be greater than you.

41 Und weiter sprach559 Pharao6547 zu Joseph3130: Siehe7200, ich habe dich über ganz Ägyptenland776 gesetzt5414.

41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have made you governor over all the land of Egypt.

42 Und6547 tat5493 seinen Ring2885 von seiner Hand3027 und gab5414 ihn Joseph3130 an899 seine Hand3027; und kleidete3847 ihn mit weißer Seide und hing7760 ihm eine güldene Kette7242 an seinen Hals6677.

42 Then Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck:

43 Und ließ ihn auf6440 seinem andern4932 Wagen4818 fahren7392 und ließ vor ihm her ausrufen7121: Der ist des Landes776 Vater86! Und setzte5414 ihn über ganz Ägyptenland4714.

43 And he made him to ride in another chariot which belonged to him; and they cried before him, Father and governor! Thus he made him governor over all the land of Egypt.

44 Und7272 Pharao6547 sprach559 zu Joseph3130: Ich bin Pharao6547; ohne1107 deinen Willen soll niemand376 seine Hand3027 oder seinen Fuß regen7311 in ganz Ägyptenland776.

44 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I Pharaoh have commanded that without your orders no man shall undertake anything in all the land of Egypt.

45 Und6547 nannte7121 ihn8034 den heimlichen Rat6847. Und3130 gab5414 ihm ein Weib802, Asnath621, die Tochter1323 Potipheras6319, des Priesters3548 zu On204. Also zog Joseph3130 aus3318, das Land776 Ägypten4714 zu besehen.

45 Then Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah (because the hidden things were revealed to him); and he gave him to wife Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went throughout all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47 Und das Land776 tat6213 also die sieben7651 reichen7647 Jahre8141;

47 And in the seven plenteous years the land brought forth abundantly.

48 und sammelten6908 alle Speise400 der sieben7651 Jahre8141, so im Lande Ägypten4714 waren, und taten5414 sie400 in8432 die Städte5892. Was für Speise400 auf dem Felde7704 einer jeglichen Stadt5892 umher5439 wuchs, das776 taten5414 sie hinein.

48 And he gathered up all the grain of the seven plenteous years which were in the land of Egypt, and stored up the grain in towns; the grain of the fields which was round about every town he stored in the same.

49 Also schüttete6651 Joseph3130 das Getreide1250 auf2308, über die Maße viel7235, wie Sand2344 am Meer3220, also daß er aufhörete zu3966 zählen5608; denn man konnte es nicht369 zählen4557.

49 And Joseph stored up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he was tired of numbering it; for it was without number.

50 Und Joseph3130 wurden zween Söhne1121 geboren3205, ehe denn die teure7458 Zeit8141 kam935, welche ihm gebar3205 Asnath621, Potipheras6319, des Priesters3548 zu On204 Tochter1323.

50 And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore to him.

51 Und hieß7121 den8034 ersten1060 Manasse4519; denn GOtt430, sprach er3130, hat mich lassen vergessen5382 alles meines Unglücks5999 und alles meines Vaters1 Hauses1004.

51 And Joseph called the name of his first-born Manasseh; For God, said he, has made me forget all my troubles, and all my father's house.

52 Den andern8145 hieß8034 er Ephraim669; denn GOtt430, sprach er, hat mich lassen7121 wachsen6509 in dem Lande776 meines Elends6040.

52 And the name of the second he called Ephraim; For God has made me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

53 Da nun die sieben7651 reichen7647 Jahre8141 um waren3615 im Lande776 Ägypten4714,

53 And the seven years of plenty that were in the land of Egypt came to an end.

54 da fingen an2490 die sieben7651 teuren7458 Jahre8141 zu kommen, da Joseph3130 von gesagt559 hatte. Und es ward eine Teurung in allen Landen776, aber in ganz Ägyptenland776 war935 Brot3899.

54 And the seven years of famine began to come, according as Joseph had said; and there was famine in all lands; and in all the land of Egypt there was no bread.

55 Da nun das776 ganze Ägyptenland4714 auch Hunger litt7456, schrie6817 das Volk5971 zu6213 Pharao6547 um Brot3899. Aber Pharao6547 sprach559 zu allen Ägyptern4714: Gehet hin3212 zu Joseph3130; was euch der saget, das tut.

55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people complained against Pharaoh because of the lack of bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph; and what he says to you, do.

56 Als nun im ganzen Lande776 Teurung war, tat6605 Joseph3130 allenhalben Kornhäuser auf6440 und verkaufte7666 den Ägyptern4714. Denn die Teurung ward je länger je größer2388 im Lande776.

56 And the famine was over all the face of the land, and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians;

57 Und alle Lande776 kamen935 in Ägypten4714, zu kaufen7666 bei Joseph3130; denn die Teurung war groß2388 in allen Landen776.

57 And the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. And the people from all lands came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain; because the famine was severe in all lands.
