Der Prophet Sacharja

Kapitel 7

1 Und es geschah im vierten702 Jahr8141 des Königs4428 Darius1867, daß des HErrn3068 Wort1697 geschah zu Sacharja2148, am vierten702 Tage des neunten8671 Monden2320, welcher heißt Chisleu,

2 da Sarezer8272 und Regem-Melech7278 samt ihren Leuten582 sandten7971 in das Haus1004 Gottes410, zu bitten2470 vor6440 dem HErrn3068,

3 und ließen sagen559 den Priestern3548, die da waren um das Haus1004 des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635, und zu den Propheten5030: Muß ich559 auch noch weinen1058 im fünften2549 Monden2320 und mich enthalten5144, wie ich solches getan6213 habe nun etliche Jahre8141?

4 Und des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635 Wort1697 geschah zu mir und sprach559:

5 Sage559 allem Volk5971 im Lande776 und den Priestern3548 und sprich559: Da ihr fastetet6684 und Leid5594 truget im fünften2549 und siebenten7637 Monden diese siebenzig Jahre8141 lang, habt ihr mir so gefastet?

6 Oder da ihr aßet398 und tranket, habt8354 ihr nicht für euch selbst gegessen398 und getrunken8354?

7 Ist‘s nicht das1697, welches der HErr3068 predigen ließ durch3027 die vorigen7223 Propheten5030, da Jerusalem3389 bewohnet war3427 und hatte7121 die Fülle7961 samt ihren Städten5892 umher5439, und Leute3427 wohneten beide gegen Mittag5045 und in Gründen8219?

8 Und des HErrn3068 Wort1697 geschah zu Sacharja2148 und sprach559:

9 So spricht559 der571 HErr3068 Zebaoth6635: Richtet4941 recht8199, und559 ein376 jeglicher beweise an seinem Bruder251 Güte und6213 Barmherzigkeit2617;

10 und tut nicht7451 Unrecht6231 den Witwen490, Waisen3490, Fremdlingen1616 und Armen6041; und denke2803 keiner376 wider seinen Bruder251 etwas Arges in seinem Herzen3824.

11 Aber sie5414 wollten nicht3985 aufmerken7181 und3802 kehreten mir den Rücken zu8085 und verstockten3513 ihre Ohren241, daß sie nicht höreten,

12 und stelleten ihre Herzen3820 wie einen Demant8068, daß sie3027 nicht höreten das8085 Gesetz8451 und Worte1697, welche der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635 sandte7971 in seinem Geiste durch die vorigen7223 Propheten5030, daher so großer1419 Zorn7307 vom HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635 kommen ist7760.

13 Und ist also ergangen: Gleichwie geprediget ward, und sie7121 nicht höreten, so wollt ich auch nicht hören8085, da sie8085 riefen7121, spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635.

14 Also hab ich sie zerstreuet unter alle Heiden1471, die sie nicht kennen3045, und8047 ist5674 das Land776 hinter310 ihnen7725 wüst8074 geblieben, daß niemand drinnen wandelt noch wohnet, und ist7760 das edle2532 Land776 zur Wüstung gemacht.

2 When they had sent7971 to the house1008 of God1008 Sherezer8272 and Regemmelech,7278 and their men,582 to pray2470 before854 6440 the LORD,3068

3 And to speak559 to the priests3548 which834 were in the house1004 of the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 and to the prophets,5030 saying,559 Should I weep1058 in the fifth2549 month,2320 separating5144 myself, as I have done6213 these2088 so many years?8141

4 Then came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 to me, saying,559

5 Speak559 to all3605 the people5971 of the land,776 and to the priests,3548 saying,559 When3588 you fasted6684 and mourned5594 in the fifth2549 and seventh7637 month, even those2088 seventy7657 years,8141 did you at all fast6684 to me, even to me?

6 And when3588 you did eat,398 and when3588 you did drink,8354 did not you eat398 for yourselves, and drink8354 for yourselves?

7 Should you not hear the words1697 which834 the LORD3068 has cried7121 by the former7223 prophets,5030 when Jerusalem3389 was inhabited3427 and in prosperity,7961 and the cities5892 thereof round5439 about her, when men inhabited3427 the south5045 and the plain?8219

8 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Zechariah,2148 saying,559

9 Thus3541 speaks559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 saying,559 Execute8199 true571 judgment,4941 and show6213 mercy2617 and compassions7356 every man376 to his brother:251

10 And oppress6231 not the widow,490 nor the fatherless,3490 the stranger,1616 nor the poor;6041 and let none408 of you imagine2803 evil7451 against his brother251 in your heart.3824

11 But they refused3985 to listen,7181 and pulled5414 away the shoulder,3802 and stopped3513 their ears,241 that they should not hear.8085

12 Yes, they made7760 their hearts3820 as an adamant8068 stone,8068 lest6435 they should hear8085 the law,8451 and the words1697 which834 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 has sent7971 in his spirit7307 by the former7223 prophets:5030 therefore came1961 a great1419 wrath7110 from the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

13 Therefore it is come1961 to pass, that as he cried,7121 and they would not hear;8085 so3651 they cried,7121 and I would not hear,8085 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts:6635

14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind5590 among5921 all3605 the nations1471 whom834 they knew3045 not. Thus the land776 was desolate8074 after310 them, that no man passed5674 through nor returned:7725 for they laid7760 the pleasant2532 land776 desolate.8047
