1 Hie stehe ich auf5975 meiner Hut4931 und trete3320 auf meine Feste4692 und schaue6822 und sehe7200 zu, was mir gesagt1696 werde7725, und was ich antworten solle dem, der mich schilt.

1 I will stand5975 on my watch,4931 and set3320 me on the tower,4692 and will watch6822 to see7200 what4100 he will say1696 to me, and what4100 I shall answer7725 when5921 I am reproved.8433

2 Der HErr3068 aber antwortet6030 mir und spricht559: Schreibe3789 das Gesicht2377 und male es874 auf eine Tafel3871, daß es lesen7121 könne, wer vorüberläuft7323 (nämlich also):

2 And the LORD3068 answered6030 me, and said,559 Write3789 the vision,2377 and make it plain874 on tables,3871 that he may run7323 that reads7121 it.

3 Die Weissagung2377 wird ja noch erfüllet werden zu seiner Zeit4150 und935 wird endlich7093 frei an Tag kommen6315 und nicht außen bleiben309. Ob sie aber verzeucht, so harre2442 ihrer; sie wird gewißlich kommen935 und nicht verziehen4102.

3 For the vision2377 is yet5750 for an appointed4150 time, but at the end7093 it shall speak,6315 and not lie:3576 though518 it tarry,4102 wait2442 for it; because3588 it will surely come,935 it will not tarry.309

4 Siehe, wer5315 halsstarrig ist, der6075 wird keine Ruhe3474 in seinem Herzen haben; denn der Gerechte6662 lebet seines Glaubens530.

4 Behold,2009 his soul5315 which is lifted6075 up is not upright3474 in him: but the just6662 shall live2421 by his faith.530

5 Aber der Wein3196 betrügt898 den stolzen3093 Mann1397, daß er nicht bleiben kann, welcher seine See LE5315 aufsperret wie die Hölle7585, und ist gerade wie der Tod4194, der nicht zu sättigen7646 ist, sondern rafft zu sich622 alle Heiden1471 und sammelt zu sich6908 alle Völker5971.

5 Yes637 also,637 because3588 he transgresses898 by wine,3196 he is a proud3093 man,1397 neither3808 keeps at home,5115 who834 enlarges7337 his desire5315 as hell,7585 and is as death,4194 and cannot3808 be satisfied,7646 but gathers622 to him all3605 nations,1471 and heaps6908 to him all3605 people:5971

6 Was gilt‘s aber? Dieselbigen alle werden einen Spruch von ihm machen3513 und eine Sage4426 und Sprichwort4912 und werden sagen559: Wehe1945 dem, der sein Gut mehret mit fremdem Gut! Wie lange wird‘s währen? und ladet nur viel7235 Schlammes auf5375 sich.

6 Shall not all3605 these428 take5375 up a parable4912 against5921 him, and a taunting4426 proverb2420 against him, and say,559 Woe1945 to him that increases7235 that which is not his! how5704 long?5704 and to him that lades3515 himself with thick clay!5671

7 O wie plötzlich6621 werden6965 aufwachen, die dich beißen5391, und erwachen3364, die dich wegstoßen2111! Und du mußt ihnen zuteil4933 werden.

7 Shall they not rise6965 up suddenly6621 that shall bite5391 you, and awake6974 that shall vex2111 you, and you shall be for booties4933 to them?

8 Denn du hast viel Heiden1471 geraubt; so7227 werden7997 dich3427 wieder rauben7997 alle übrigen von den Völkern5971 um der Menschen120 Bluts1818 willen und3499 um des Frevels2555 willen, im Lande776 und in der Stadt7151 und an allen, die drinnen wohnen, begangen.

8 Because3588 you have spoiled7997 many7227 nations,1471 all3605 the remnant3499 of the people5971 shall spoil7997 you; because of men's120 blood,1818 and for the violence2555 of the land,776 of the city,7151 and of all3605 that dwell3427 therein.

9 Wehe1945 dem7451, der da geizet zum Unglück1215 seines Hauses1004, auf daß er sein Nest7064 in die Höhe4791 lege7760, daß er dem Unfall7451 entrinne5337!
|
9 Woe1945 to him that covets1214 an evil7451 covetousness1215 to his house,1004 that he may set7760 his nest7064 on high,4791 that he may be delivered5337 from the power3709 of evil!7451

10 Aber dein Ratschlag wird zur Schande deines Hauses1004 geraten3289; denn du2398 hast zu viel7227 Völker5971 zerschlagen7096 und1322 hast mit allem Mutwillen5315 gesündiget.

10 You have consulted3289 shame1322 to your house1004 by cutting7096 off many7227 people,5971 and have sinned2398 against your soul.5315

11 Denn auch die Steine68 in der Mauer7023 werden schreien2199, und6086 die Balken am Gesperre werden ihnen antworten6030.
|
11 For the stone68 shall cry2199 out of the wall,7023 and the beam3714 out of the timber6086 shall answer6030 it.
|
|
12 Wehe1945 dem, der die Stadt5892 mit Blut1818 bauet1129 und zurichtet die Stadt7151 mit Unrecht5766!
|
12 Woe1945 to him that builds1129 a town5892 with blood,1818 and establishes3559 a city7151 by iniquity!5766
|
|
13 Ist‘s nicht also, daß vom HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635 geschehen wird3286? Was dir die Völker5971 gearbeitet haben, muß mit1767 Feuer784 verbrennen, und daran die Leute3816 müde3021 worden sind, muß verloren7385 sein.

13 Behold,2009 is it not of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 that the people5971 shall labor3021 in the very1767 fire,784 and the people3816 shall weary3286 themselves for very1767 vanity?7385

14 Denn die Erde776 wird voll werden4390 von Erkenntnis der Ehre3519 des HErrn3068, wie3045 Wasser4325, das das Meer3220 bedeckt3680.
|
14 For the earth776 shall be filled4390 with the knowledge3045 of the glory3519 of the LORD,3068 as the waters4325 cover3680 the sea.3220
|
|
15 Wehe1945 dir, der du8248 deinem Nächsten7453 einschenkest und mischest5596 deinen Grimm2573 darunter und trunken7937 machest, daß du seine Scham sehest5027!
|
15 Woe1945 to him that gives his neighbor7453 drink,8248 that put5596 your bottle2573 to him, and make him drunken7937 also,637 that you may look5027 on5921 their nakedness!4589

16 Man wird dich5437 auch sättigen7646 mit Schande7036 für Ehre3519. So saufe du8354 nun auch, daß du taumelst6188; denn dich wird umgeben der Kelch3563 in der Rechten3225 des HErrn3068, und mußt schändlich speien für deine Herrlichkeit3519.

16 You are filled7646 with shame7036 for glory:3519 drink8354 you also,1571 and let your foreskin6188 be uncovered: the cup3563 of the LORD's3068 right3225 hand3225 shall be turned5437 to you, and shameful7022 spewing7022 shall be on5921 your glory.3519

17 Denn der Frevel7701, am3680 Libanon3844 begangen, wird dich3427 überfallen, und die verstörten Tiere929 werden dich schrecken2865 um der Menschen120 Bluts1818 willen und um des Frevels2555 willen, im Lande776 und in der Stadt7151 und an allen, die drinnen wohnen, begangen.

17 For the violence2555 of Lebanon3844 shall cover3680 you, and the spoil7701 of beasts,929 which made them afraid,2865 because of men's120 blood,1818 and for the violence2555 of the land,776 of the city,7151 and of all3605 that dwell3427 therein.

18 Was wird dann helfen das Bild6459, das sein3276 Meister3335 gebildet hat6458, und6213 das falsche8267 gegossene Bild, darauf sich982 verläßt sein Meister, daß er3384 stumme483 Götzen457 machte3335?

18 What4100 profits3276 the graven6459 image6755 that the maker3335 thereof has graven6458 it; the molten4541 image,6755 and a teacher3384 of lies,8267 that the maker3335 of his work3336 trusts982 therein,5921 to make6213 dumb483 idols?457

19 Wehe1945 dem, der zum Holz6086 spricht559: Wache auf6974! und zum stummen1748 Stein68: Stehe auf5782! Wie sollt es lehren3384? Siehe, es ist mit7130 Gold2091 und Silber3701 überzogen8610, und ist kein Odem7307 in ihm.

19 Woe1945 to him that said559 to the wood,6086 Awake;6974 to the dumb1748 stone,68 Arise,5782 it shall teach!3384 Behold,2009 it is laid8610 over with gold2091 and silver,3701 and there is no369 breath7307 at all3605 in the middle7130 of it.

20 Aber der HErr3068 ist in seinem heiligen6944 Tempel1964. Es sei vor6440 ihm stille alle Welt776!

20 But the LORD3068 is in his holy6944 temple:1964 let all3605 the earth776 keep silence2013 before6440 him.
