阿摩司書

第5章

1 以色列家啊，要聽我為你們所作的哀歌：

2 以色列處女［virgin］跌倒；她［she］不得再起。她被棄在己地［she is forsaken upon her land］；無人扶起她［raise her up］。

3 主耶和華如此說：以色列家的城發出一千兵的，只剩一百；發出一百的，只剩十個。

4 耶和華向以色列家如此說：你們要尋求我，就必存活。

5 不要往伯．特利尋求，不要進入吉甲，不要過到別．是巴；因為吉甲必被擄掠，伯．特利也必歸於無有。

6 要尋求耶和華，就必存活，免得他在約瑟家像火發出，在伯．特利焚燒，無人撲滅。

7 你們這使公平變為茵蔯、將公義丟棄於地的，

8 要尋求那造七［seven］星和參星，使死蔭變為晨光，使白日變為黑夜，命海水來澆在地上的─耶和華是他的名；

9 他使被搶奪的得力攻擊力強的［That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong］，以致被搶奪的前往攻擊保障［so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress］。

10 你們怨恨那在城門口責備人的，憎惡那說正直話的。

11 你們踐踏貧民，向他們取去成擔的麥子［take from him burdens of wheat］；你們用鑿過的石頭建造房屋，卻不得住在其內；栽種美好的葡萄園，卻不得喝所出的酒。

12 我知道你們的罪過何等多，你們的罪惡何等大。你們苦待義人，收受賄賂，在城門口屈枉窮乏人。

13 所以通達人見這樣的時勢必靜默不言，因為時勢真惡。

14 你們要求善，不要求惡，就必存活。這樣，耶和華─大軍之神必照你們所說的與你們同在。

15 要惡惡好善，在城門口秉公行義；或者耶和華─大軍之神向約瑟的餘民施恩。

16 主耶和華─大軍之神如此說：在一切街道上［in all streets］必有哀號的聲音；在各大道［highways］上必有人說：哀哉。哀哉。又必叫農夫來哭號，叫善唱哀歌的來哀哭。

17 在各葡萄園必有哀號的聲音，因為我必從你中間經過。這是耶和華說的。

18 想望耶和華日子來到的有禍了。你們到那日將有何等的結局呢［to what end is it for you］？耶和華的日子［the day of the LORD］黑暗沒有光明。

19 景況好像人躲避獅子又遇見熊，或是進房屋以手靠牆，就被蛇咬。

20 耶和華的日子不是黑暗沒有光明嗎？不是幽暗毫無光輝嗎？

21 我厭惡［hate］輕看［despise］你們的節期，也不聞你們嚴肅會的香氣［smell in your solemn assemblies］。

22 你們雖然向我獻燔祭和素祭，我卻不悅納；我［I］也不顧你們用肥畜獻的平安祭。

23 要使你［thou］歌唱的聲音遠離我，因為我不聽你［thy］彈琴的響聲。

24 唯願公平如大水滾滾，使公義如江河滔滔。

25 「以色列家啊，你們在曠野四十年，豈是將祭物和供物獻給我呢？

26 你們卻［But］抬著為自己所造之摩洛的帳幕和你們的神星龕的眾像［Chiun your images, the star of your god］。

27 所以我要使你們被［cause you to］擄到大馬士革以外。這是耶和華、名為大軍之神說的。」

2 The virgin1330 of Israel3478 is fallen;5307 she shall no3808 more3254 rise:6965 she is forsaken5203 upon5921 her land;127 there is none369 to raise her up.6965

3 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 The city5892 that went out3318 by a thousand505 shall leave7604 a hundred,3967 and that which went forth3318 by a hundred3967 shall leave7604 ten,6235 to the house1004 of Israel.3478

4 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 unto the house1004 of Israel,3478 Seek1875 ye me, and ye shall live: 2421

5 But seek1875 not408 Bethel,1008 nor3808 enter935 into Gilgal,1537 and pass5674 not3808 to Beer-sheba:884 for3588 Gilgal1537 shall surely go into captivity,1540 1540 and Bethel1008 shall come1961 to naught.205

6 Seek1875 853 the LORD,3068 and ye shall live;2421 lest6435 he break out6743 like fire784 in the house1004 of Joseph,3130 and devour398 it, and there be none369 to quench3518 it in Bethel.1008

7 Ye who turn2015 judgment4941 to wormwood,3939 and leave off5117 righteousness6666 in the earth,776

8 Seek him that maketh6213 the seven stars3598 and Orion,3685 and turneth2015 the shadow of death6757 into the morning,1242 and maketh the day dark2821 3117 with night:3915 that calleth7121 for the waters4325 of the sea,3220 and poureth them out8210 upon5921 the face6440 of the earth:776 The LORD3068 is his name: 8034

9 That strengtheneth1082 the spoiled7701 against5921 the strong,5974 so that the spoiled7701 shall come935 against5921 the fortress.4013

10 They hate8130 him that rebuketh3198 in the gate,8179 and they abhor8581 him that speaketh1696 uprightly.8549

11 Forasmuch3282 therefore3651 as your treading1318 is upon5921 the poor,1800 and ye take3947 from4480 him burdens4864 of wheat:1250 ye have built1129 houses1004 of hewn stone,1496 but ye shall not3808 dwell3427 in them; ye have planted5193 pleasant2531 vineyards,3754 but ye shall not3808 drink8354 853 wine3196 of them.

12 For3588 I know3045 your manifold7227 transgressions6588 and your mighty6099 sins:2403 they afflict6887 the just,6662 they take3947 a bribe,3724 and they turn aside5186 the poor34 in the gate8179 from their right.

13 Therefore3651 the prudent7919 shall keep silence1826 in that1931 time;6256 for3588 it1931 is an evil7451 time.6256

14 Seek1875 good,2896 and not408 evil,7451 that4616 ye may live:2421 and so3651 the LORD,3068 the God430 of hosts,6635 shall be1961 with854 you, as834 ye have spoken.559

15 Hate8130 the evil,7451 and love157 the good,2896 and establish3322 judgment4941 in the gate:8179 it may be194 that the LORD3068 God430 of hosts6635 will be gracious2603 unto the remnant7611 of Joseph.3130

16 Therefore3651 the LORD,3068 the God430 of hosts,6635 the Lord,136 saith559 thus;3541 Wailing4553 shall be in all3605 streets;7339 and they shall say559 in all3605 the highways,2351 Alas!1930 alas!1930 and they shall call7121 the husbandman406 to413 mourning,60 and such as are skillful3045 of lamentation5092 to413 wailing.4553

17 And in all3605 vineyards3754 shall be wailing:4553 for3588 I will pass5674 through7130 thee, saith559 the LORD.3068

18 Woe1945 unto you that desire183 853 the day3117 of the LORD!3068 to what end4100 is it2088 for you? the day3117 of the LORD3068 is darkness,2822 and not3808 light.216

19 As if834 a man376 did flee5127 from4480 6440 a lion,738 and a bear1677 met6293 him; or went935 into the house,1004 and leaned5564 his hand3027 on5921 the wall,7023 and a serpent5175 bit5391 him.

20 Shall not3808 the day3117 of the LORD3068 be darkness,2822 and not3808 light?216 even very dark,651 and no3808 brightness5051 in it?

21 I hate,8130 I despise3988 your feast days,2282 and I will not3808 smell7306 in your solemn assemblies.6116

22 Though3588 518 ye offer5927 me burnt offerings5930 and your meat offerings,4503 I will not3808 accept7521 them: neither3808 will I regard5027 the peace offerings8002 of your fat beasts.4806

23 Take thou away5493 from4480 5921 me the noise1995 of thy songs;7892 for I will not3808 hear8085 the melody2172 of thy viols.5035

24 But let judgment4941 run down1556 as waters,4325 and righteousness6666 as a mighty386 stream.5158

25 Have ye offered5066 unto me sacrifices2077 and offerings4503 in the wilderness4057 forty705 years,8141 O house1004 of Israel?3478

26 But ye have borne5375 853 the tabernacle5522 of your Moloch4432 and Chiun3594 your images,6754 the star3556 of your god,430 which834 ye made6213 to yourselves.

27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity1540 beyond4480 1973 Damascus,1834 saith559 the LORD,3068 whose name8034 is The God430 of hosts.6635

5 不要往伯．特利尋求，不要進入吉甲，不要過到別．是巴；因為吉甲必被擄掠，伯．特利也必歸於無有。

12 我知道你們的罪過何等多，你們的罪惡何等大。你們苦待義人，收受賄賂，在城門口屈枉窮乏人。

12 For3588 I know3045 your manifold7227 transgressions6588 and your mighty6099 sins:2403 they afflict6887 the just,6662 they take3947 a bribe,3724 and they turn aside5186 the poor34 in the gate8179 from their right.

13 所以通達人見這樣的時勢必靜默不言，因為時勢真惡。

13 Therefore3651 the prudent7919 shall keep silence1826 in that1931 time;6256 for3588 it1931 is an evil7451 time.6256

14 你們要求善，不要求惡，就必存活。這樣，耶和華─大軍之神必照你們所說的與你們同在。

14 Seek1875 good,2896 and not408 evil,7451 that4616 ye may live:2421 and so3651 the LORD,3068 the God430 of hosts,6635 shall be1961 with854 you, as834 ye have spoken.559

15 要惡惡好善，在城門口秉公行義；或者耶和華─大軍之神向約瑟的餘民施恩。

15 Hate8130 the evil,7451 and love157 the good,2896 and establish3322 judgment4941 in the gate:8179 it may be194 that the LORD3068 God430 of hosts6635 will be gracious2603 unto the remnant7611 of Joseph.3130
